- Shot in Los Angeles, November 2011... the morning after a very late night after the Los Angeles premiere of the film at AFI.
note: the still in the opening credit is not from The Artist.
Berenice is a pure stunning delight! Oh my gosh I am even more sad she was so overshadowed during awards.
What? She got nominated at the oscars for her performance.
I will admit he's one of the reasons why I'm attempting to teach myself French.
I'm French so to me it's very funny to see Jean struggling that way with english haha, because I know his interviews in French and it's so cute to see him in a kind of awkward position lol !
He's our pride here in France. He really "portrays" the French attitude all over the world and especially in the USA. ♥
jean was struggling his english, even before the film the artist was even nominated
alex kanyima I know.
demeko96 that is normal, if you get educated fast, hè got in a american film 3 times, I hope jean dujardin might have a wonderful career in the states
+alex kanyima He doesn't want to. He keeps saying that he is a French actor who loves French cinema and doesn't want to have an American career. He likes having some fun there but that's all.
demeko96 but really in big roles, to in american, ,hè was with George clooney, Leo dicaprio, so maybe he wants to be happy
Berenice is wonderful....and The Artist is on my top10 best movie....wow....
Really ? 🤦🏻♂️

Jean doesn't need to learn english - we need to learn french! He's perfect as is.
This interview is getting so funny when you know both languages, I died laughing !
The difference between French and american.
French are so easy to watch, sense of humor, they are not taking themselves "to seriously".
And Jean Dujardin in interview a pleasure to listen and watch.
I don't think he realizes, he is the sexiest man alive.
Check his acting in " Un Balcon sur la mer"
♥️
Lovely interview. I love these series of interviews although these two seem very very tired. My friend worked with Jean throughout his time in LA going through award show after award show and talked of how lovely he was to work with. She said wonderful things about him.
oh my gosh the two of them are too adorable for words.
i watched the movie so much im so used to them black and white and silent x)
The best interview in the United states
of berenice Bejo and jean Dujardin and very fun !
Berenice is so beautiful. My God she is adorable. Im in love
very funny, lovely interview! Thank you!!
oh Gosh I just died laughing! He is awsome. Even without knowing English, he makes you laugh with his facial expressions and with lack of understanding. Charisma rolls over! I really like Berenice, a charismatic and sweet one. I like a comment that "Jean doesn't need to learn English - we need to learn French!")))) that's right)))) No. il est un grand acteur, je l'aime et tout de suite j'ai remarqué son jeu.
I love watching Jean's English interviews because he always says random French things in between hahaha
Hahaha I love their impression of Harvey. These two have great chemistry.
Jean est d'un naturel fou. Vraiment authentique et sympatique. On voit bien qu'il est fatigué ici.
jean's expression when he hears 'mom-hood' is priceless!
Their accents are sooooo adorable! ^_^
Berenice is gorgeous & her accent is so cute.
@jonasulrich This interview is from November. You'll notice that his English has improved even since then. And he doesn't plan to "go Hollywood."
Not sure this entirely answes your comment but check out the director and actor's previous efforts, the OOS-117 films. They similarly are made to look like they're from the era (1960s spy-fi) that they are parodying - only it's a little more comedic and less high concept than The Artist.
berenice bejo - this is an extraordinary beauty
pretty ppl both :) jean is very handsome!
The girl is stunning
wow he's so handsome it's ridiculous
i'll teach you english jean
We need subtitles for when the translator translates for Jean, because I can't hear her responses.
I have not laughed like this in months :D
...a really good interview!!
'Is this going to be on the internet? I'm going to watch it.' DYING OMG
She is ADORABLE!!!
i'm sick of american or english people saying that we aren't really good english speaker. For you it's easy you're english speaker you don't have to learn a foreign languages in order to understand ok? I think that we speak your language better than you speak french or another foreign languages !
They are both so brilliant :) I wish Jean hadn't given up speaking in English half way through though
I don't think the interviewer does much to help Jean understand, he uses a lot of colloquialisms and abbreviations which are quite confusing eg. "momhood" and "SAG screenings". Despite this I think Jean did marvellously! His charm and wit make him so sweet and endearing!
Ugh I love when Berenice speaks French.
At the end he said ( "ah putain j'ai plus envie" it's mean "ah shit i don"t want it anymore !"
Dans une bonne centaine d'années
Looking forward to see the next credits on Pedro's movie. Juanito has a great transvestite potential.
Cracking my ribs here! Hillarious!
@jonasulrich I've heard him say that he doesn't want to go this route. My understanding is that he'll continue to work in France and may consider doing a Hollywood movie if it's a good opportunity. I hope he continues to work on his English so that he'll have more opportunities here in the States.
@kellyakabilly Thanks, I thought I've heard him speak better English, and now I know why. The normal next career step for a successful foreign actor would be to play the enemy in a Bond movie or something like this, but I don't know if Dujardin will go this way.
IS THIS GOING TO BE ON INTERNET?
I'M GONNA WATCH IT
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
"Cham-pagne!" "Sean Penn? Where was Sean Penn" lol
"When you turn right on red." *thumbs up* HAHAHAHA
I wonder who came with the idea about the script of the movie? what was the inspiration?! There's so many little things that reminds me of......Life. So many unpleasant similarities that I often wonder?! Anyway, those two are funny and Jean please go and learn English :D You won the Oscar. Omg and the champagne (sean penn) is hilarious, thumb up! :)
AHAHAHAHAA, oh my god, the Sean Penn/champagne confusion. (07:30)
Goofballs! I think Berenice was slightly embarrassed. So fucking charming!
You enjoyed Mahmoud ?!
Are you enjoying Mahrmoud ?
8:52
He's clearly very tired on this interview. That's why he's not trying his most to understand english or speak it. Only "yeah"...Please don't blame him
Sean Penn - champagne, that is kind of similar. Dujardin was obviously tired in this interview, I've seen him speak a lot better English.
Berenice... FIT
Bejo is hot! 🔥
Jean Dujardin 9:49 "Bitch"
Funniest interview EVER.
Jean Dujardin really has to learn english if he wants to go on in hollywood. sweet interview nevertheless.
id learn french for him....
Mahmoud!!
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I love him
haha awesome
yes, very "tired". Il aime se buerrer la biscotte ;)
THIS FUCKING CHANNEL MAN.
hilarious
Jean Dujardin is not gonna break through in Hollywood with english like that!!
The interviewer was soooooo annoying...so many unoriginal questions zzzzzzzz
hahaha
