  • Hi, I am Carla Grace. I am a full time wildlife artist. In this video I will share my entire process of painting this kookaburra in under 5 hours. I used acrylic on panel. Links to the materials I used can be found below.
    For now, I will be posting one long video like this every month, but will fill the time in between with shorts and other fun artist tutorials. Please subscribe to my channel to keep up with everything I have to share.
    More tutorials can be found here:

    Artists who have done one of my tutorials through Kajabi become part of my online artist community group. Here we will do these mini acrylic paintings as challenges once a month. I will also do "Save my painting" help episodes there, answer questions, do live painting sessions and more!
    Creation of all my original paintings can be followed on social media:

    Hello Carla, it's so lovely to see you back on youtube. It's been a while. I was hoping you didn't leave and here you are! Awesome! I have been painting kingfishers and now trying koalas, kangaroos and kookaburras, and African animals in soft pastels. Even though the mediums are different you can still use the same techniques. I haven't mustered the courage yet to try acrylics though I really want to. My end goal is to try and paint large canvases. Seeing this video helps me understand how to use the medium correctly. I just want to thank you for releasing a full tutorial. I know it took time out of your schedule and I really am grateful for helping us. It has really helped get me a step closer to trying acrylics. x

    I have a question Carla… Do you mix the white paint with something to make it translucent? My acrylic whites are sooo opaque 😅

    • @carlagraceart
      @carlagraceart  Год назад

      Perhaps it’s the type of white I’m using, it’s a fluid as opposed to a heavy body
