You put in some serious hard work on this. The scale of this project blows my mind, considering you did this all by hand, and with not much help. Awesome to see it being ridden!
Seeing as how I'm a huge Steven Spielberg fan, and Jaws is his first blockbuster that ushered in the Summer Blockbuster era, I love this suggestion. I also like the Some-fin Boggy suggestion.
Hi Erik. You are doing an amazing job building that trail. Congrats! 👏👏👏👏 I'm very impressed with your professional way of trail building; I'm enjoying this series of videos 👍👍 Salud from a fellow Spanish mtb RUclips channel! Sergio
This is by far the sickest trail build of all the trail builds going on on RUclips right now, and this will be a public trail right? You rock, Eric, deserve more attention.
Great use of space considering the circumstances, Ive just got through my biggest bog! Unfortunately I don't have the means to build big features but settled for a 25-30ft long rock garden which felt like a never ending project! The end of the track is in sight with only a few minor weather damaged spots to deal with before a full run is able to happen. Awesome work!
For the final build video it would be cool to see subscribers come out and do finishing touches, such as the final resurfacing of the trail, a new berm or 2 and some other various small projects. It would be cool to see how much work you could get done with 50 or 60 people in a day and it would add a community vibe to the trail. Bring your own shovels!
Thats a beautiful shark fin! You should widen the landing to the right and make it taller so that you can go full speed in the upper part of the shark fin, because it seems like if you try that you will land off the trail.
Super sick build for sure, but I think the landing could still use a good bit of side support( make the side bigger), you can see that you are entering the sharkfin on a line, that could easily get you all the way to the top, but you have to sharply lover it back down to make the not so sharkfined landing. It would make it a good bit faster and possibly even a bit easier to ride up high, if you were to build the landing up.
Thanks for inspiring me to start building my own trail! You’re a really underrated youtuber! Also, call the shark fin the Hammerhead Shark, as hammerhead can sometimes mean annoying, and this seemed a lot more annoying to build than the one above it.
I think a fitting name would be the "dry dock" because you dried up the mud pit directly after the feature and the sharkfin itself looks a bit like a piece of the wooden hull of a boat during construction.
For a feature like that you could try making the landing the same shape as the wallride. Leave the gap but continue the shape of the wallride, out of dirt to make the landing (The low point of the wallride low on the landing, and the high point of the wallride high on the landing). Shape it just like the wallride entrance, so essentially you'd be building the entrance to the feature you made out of dirt, but in reverse, with a gap in between as an exit. I hope that helps, cheers! :D \m/
Its so satisfying to watch the bike park grow and it is quite enjoyable! And about the shark fin, what about the woozy wooz ride. Nah it sound too woozy
You should name the Shark Fin after one of the number of species of sharks that live off the BC coast. "Pacific Sleeper" shark is one and sounds like sick name for the feature. you could bring attention to a BC shark that is listed on the Species at Risk Act called the Bluntnose Sixgill.
The landing to the sharkfin should sorta mirror the shape of the jump in a mirrored sort of way. The way it is now you wont be capable of even hitting the top without bottoming out each time XD looks fun tho.
I noticed that you weren't exiting off the top row of slates and that put you in the middle of the landing. Can you raise/steepen or lengthen the one side of the landing to accomadate a high exit? When I ride shark fins I exit of the top corner if possible.
Any biking tips, I just got a mountain bike. I need lots of help other than the gearshifting of the bike. I need to know the timings and the best setting for almost flat terrain?
How we built the fin:

I love your vids
Name the shark fin baby shark
Man i relly need ur help , i just Started going to the mountain with my bike but im looking for a better One , i dont have mouch money so my max budjet is 600€ , can u find me a good bike that has full suspencion and is good for MTB please !!!!!!!!( Im sorry if my writing skills are not good , im portoguese)
If your just getting in to mountain biking how would you work out your legs.
You can call it the "muddy fin"
Maybe as it's a shark fin into a bog, and as I'm a fan of puns, my suggestion is "some-fin boggy"
Definitely
yes
I definitely agree
Pog
That’s a must do
Call it "HAMMERHEAD", Yeah, that just sounds like a great name for a cool feature that was "HAMMERED" together!
true my frend
hahahahahhah sooo funny
literally thought to check here half an hour ago, watched a different video and realised this one was uploaded while i was watching.
Impeccable timing
You put in some serious hard work on this. The scale of this project blows my mind, considering you did this all by hand, and with not much help. Awesome to see it being ridden!
You should name it the Wicked Wave. That would be pretty cool!
BOOSTY BERM
Yeah
Wild Wave
Or Wicked Wall
yeap thats the perfect name , no more questions sr
Now that you finish that did the whole track from the beginning I would love to see a video like that
Shark Fin:
His name is Bruce.
Every time you drop in you can yell "Heeeeeere's BRUCEY"
Bruce for sure.
Seeing as how I'm a huge Steven Spielberg fan, and Jaws is his first blockbuster that ushered in the Summer Blockbuster era, I love this suggestion.
I also like the Some-fin Boggy suggestion.
Bruce!!!
@@stolarcykdesignandwoodwork1460 i love that idea 😂
Bruce please
this guy deserves so much more love, you can just tell he puts a ton of effort into his vids. keep it up man!!
How about the Huckleberry Finn? Or if there are any wild berries growing nearby, The Huck a Berry Finn?
Huck finn!
@@BCpov Yup, that's even better.
@@BCpov Love the name Huck finn!
@@BCpov Yes Make the name Huck Finn. this is by far the best
@@BCpov Or mud shark
Hi Erik. You are doing an amazing job building that trail. Congrats! 👏👏👏👏 I'm very impressed with your professional way of trail building; I'm enjoying this series of videos 👍👍
Salud from a fellow Spanish mtb RUclips channel!
Sergio
This should be called the mud-shark, because it is a shark fin that is in the place of a mud pit
like this name fits perfectly.
Boosty berm
Yes!
yes!
I was gonna say Bog Shark but this too
I think you should call it “the mud shark” as it is in a mud pit.
This is by far the sickest trail build of all the trail builds going on on RUclips right now, and this will be a public trail right? You rock, Eric, deserve more attention.
This trail build is amazing but you can’t deny that berm peak is also super cool
The question is do we consider darkfest a trail
other than berm peak, yes, most definately
@@Flow_121 yes probably
Mark Matthews builds some intense stuff
This line looks like it's coming together nicely!
Awesome work, can't wait to see the finished product. :)
I have started riding MTB and making trails because of you. Support from Zagreb Croatia.
The quality of your videos are in another level, allied with great content! Congratualations.
I'm always so exited when I see you just uploaded a new vid. Your trail is coming along amazing man.
This guy is so nice for not just him but for whoever rides the shark fin
This is mega sick, can you do a full rundown now?
Oh yes! Without any film cuts would be soooo good!
@@cole_climbz6909 yes pls omg

I would even fly from germany for that, if I can afford
HAVNT WATCHED in months, since last vid i seen, your jumping has improved 10fold and you have and ride with way way way way more confidence!!!!!!!!!!
Yesssss…I’ve just sat down…perfect timing Eric 😁👍🏼
I cant wait to ride this trail came across it while 4x4ing just waiting for it to be done the features look so cool in person.
love that series. great job Eric👌 i think the Swamp thing would be a great name
Thats a beautiful shark fin!
You should widen the landing to the right and make it taller so that you can go full speed in the upper part of the shark fin, because it seems like if you try that you will land off the trail.
Oh Boy you bet I clicked as fast as I can on this one

I've been waiting for you to upload finally 😊👍
Tris trail looks incredibly fun! Can't wait to check it out!
you know it’s a good day when there’s a new bcpov upload 😁
You guys are doing great in the trail building! Can’t wait to see what feature is next!
That's A Beautiful Obstacle ive been watching from day one very nice job
Definitely thinking Mud-Shark... and, looking below, I can see I'm not the only one. Can't wait to ride it Eric!
I would call the new Sharkfin “Mudslide”
Yes
Yes
Yes
I agree
boosty berm

Physics teacher: revise
Me: I am revising the physics of flight
Lmao i have exams next week and I was revising it 30 mins ago but i took a break and now I'm watching this epic vid😅
the edit, the colors is so sick, like it's in every video
Call the shark fin “wall ride” and make a wall ride and call it “shark fin”
Heh
𝚗𝚘
Lol
NO
Thank you very much for answering my question!
If you had more of a hip landing on the shark fin it would be sick
8:43 this ride into the sunset looks so beautiful, wish I'd be there *-*
Name suggestion: Mud shark
Can’t wait to see where the trail goes next!🤙🏼
i get so hyped watching this ! looks like so much fun 🤩
name it “the Mako”
fastest shark in the ocean to go with ripping the shark fin fast
I love sharks so i love this
You guys should come back to Nelson the trails are running great and the bike park is the best it’s been for a while it has a lot of very fun jumps
I see BCpov, i click 🙂
Nice Erick, that’s a great feature and video.
Never clicked so fast🤘🤘
Love the trail builds
Since the mud pit was “the bane of your existence” and Bane broke Batman’s back, call it Knightfall!
I think a fitting name would be the "dry dock" because you dried up the mud pit directly after the feature and the sharkfin itself looks a bit like a piece of the wooden hull of a boat during construction.
Call that beauty “Wall of Sharks” since the debate over the design
very cool trail. looks like it flows super well...
what is the name of the app that you used to measure angle? Plz tell me☺
7:00 lmaooo
Oh yooo
Brilliant work Eric. Do you think I'd need mountain biking experience to start creating my own little trail?
“Effin’ Good Time” ← get it???? 👊
Looks awesome well done to all, the hard work has paid off, hows the new bike going Eric? 👍👍🏴🏴
It should be called the “spiny dogfish” because the feature is built over mud and the spiny dogfish lives in the mud and sounds cool!
Then add spikes to look like a spine on top
Sharkfin has a flyout/jump at the end, wall ride is more like rolling on and off without any jumping.
Am I the only one that noticed that he’s voice changed quite a bit?😳
Yes it is.
What are u on about
Your trail building videos are unusual and great fun
“Huck finn?”
So smooth looks great
I don’t want a board walk I want to make it fun
Him gets a board and walks over it
Coming out of the landing and then up the hill. That is definitely asking for a step up jump!
I love how smooth it was jumping off

Awesome as always.👍 BTW is there anything other large undertaking on the trail before you can open it up.
Lander should look similar to the shark fin take-off only laid over so styling off the lip looks better.
Nice build. Always enjoy watching your Vids
Call it Mud Shark.
You should call it the muddy shark fin. Love your video's, keep up the work👍 Watching you from the netherlands🇳🇱, not such good trails here🙁
Hi there! What if you call it “Amity’s Angst” as a nice reference to Jaws? Love the new feature
I love your videos pls more diy build videos!🥰❤️
The Bog Shark!
Maybe like the Dorsal Drop or Megalodon Turn
Thats a badass trail you made man!!!!
Forest fin. Becouse I love the woods behind it also the sun.
This video was really calming
That's a sick trail great job
You should go to silver mountain in Kellogg Idaho. pretty sweet place.
Can you do an overview of everything done so far with the drone?
I concur with a few commenters in here... "jaws" is the name to pick... classic name, short and snappy... just works
You build awesome stuff!
Such a sick trail!!
You have inspired me to make backyard trails and to make RUclips videos about it.
Shark fin name : mud slide
Cause of the mud pit below it and the fun looking shark fin
I've been waiting this!
Its so satisfying to watch the bike park grow and it is quite enjoyable!
And about the shark fin, what about the woozy wooz ride. Nah it sound too woozy

Man I need to get back into mtb, I did trail crew for two years and that completely stopped my riding, but now I need to get back to it
Can you please do a full ride through so far
Looks so fun!
I noticed that you weren't exiting off the top row of slates and that put you in the middle of the landing. Can you raise/steepen or lengthen the one side of the landing to accomadate a high exit? When I ride shark fins I exit of the top corner if possible.
The : Whoo, Sweet, Sick makes his video’s complete!
Any biking tips, I just got a mountain bike. I need lots of help other than the gearshifting of the bike. I need to know the timings and the best setting for almost flat terrain?
Cn you build a track ang some obstacles down the hill to start tomake it fun
