Pure emotional detachment is a terrible way to live, so I like that there are more and more Jedi that are saying "F*** the old ways". Embracing love, pursuing relationships, but while still at their core helping people & keeping the peace. Specifically with my Counselor and my Knight in the Star Wars the Old Republic PC game, both of them are pursuing a romantic relationship because I'm also like "f*** that rule".
I feel like the rule of no attachments came about over a long time as the Order existed for tens of thousands of years. To eliminate more dark Jedi, the Order forbade strong attachment as a "cure all," but there's no way to ever stop people from falling to the temptation of the dark side. The fall of Anakin resulted from the failure of the Jedi. A new Jedi order would need to embrace emotion and understand the dark side very well.
I feel like if there's ever another game, it should have multiple endings depending on player choices. I'd love to see a dark side Kal, gray jedi Kal and jedi Kal. Tho, knowing Disney they won't give them enough time to make that kinda game. I kinda feel like the gray jedi ending should be the canonical one tho, a reason for him not to die during the sequals and maybe even make for an interesting show about a gray jedi order led by Kal.
@@harperhejter7766 so you know more than Lucas? Because he has said, from the beginning, that there is no "Light" side, only the Balance of the Force and the Imbalance of the Dark Side.

Bode needed to be stopped. He wasn't leaving Cal with much of a choice. Okay you want to protect your family. Fine. But you don't do that by betraying everyone that called you friend.
He cools down quickly after he uses the Dark Side, and it's not like he is intentionally seeking to feel negative emotions to make his abilities stronger, like a Sith. I doesn't seem likely that he will fall into that, especially when the old Jedi Order is not around ostricizing him for using it, or for being emotional for that matter, which ironically fuels said negative emotions and isolates the individual causing them to have lapses of judgement, especially with Siths around.

Looks like Cal said/wanted to say something after Cere's last words. Also looks like he nodded a bit. Hm, lets see. No.3 will be interesting, that's for sure.
Spoilers of the game: From what ik, Bode was a Jedi, like Cal, but was tasked for espionage for the Order. During Order 66, he was able to "disappear" with the skills he learned and went into hiding. Eventually, he fell in love with a women and eventually have Kata. Unfortunately, the Empire tracked him down and his wife is dead. The Empire eventually bargained to have him be their spy (within Saw Guerrera's group) in exchange for Kata's safety. Bode wanted to do whatever it takes to protect his daughter as she is all he has left. Once he learned of Tanalorr and the compass, he sees this as his chance to give Kata a safe haven, away from the Empire. Unfortunately, Bode lost his way and committed atrocities, such as give the location of the Hidden Path to the Empire and killing Cordova and indirect caused Cere's death by Vader. While I can sympathize him wanting to protect his daughter, as we know for sure it's 100% genuine (or at least to me it was), what he did was truly selfish and unforgivable as we've lost two beloved characters, Eno Cordova and Cere Junda. (I might be missing some information or may have some inaccuracies in my statements. If there are, definitely share.)
Kata is not harboring hate and grief even if Cal killed Bode because he had to, she understood the path her father chose and paid the price for it Bode could’ve surrendered and left them alone taking his daughter with him but instead he fought to his bitter end This game made Cal and Merrin instant parents because they had to look after Kata from then on
Hopefully merrin and cal reproduce and there child becomes part of the story and maybe cal starts to rebuild a sort of Jedi order not like the silly one the new films are going to show Rey trying to rebuild
And hopefully, the third game would be named “Star Wars Jedi: Rises”. It would be about Cal rises himself up to a Jedi Master. And Kata went from Padawan to Knight.
Honestly I thought the ending was pretty underwhelming like I would really preferred if we had been able to redeem bode to the Light. Right now it just seems like we fell to the dark side. As you don't even lose the dark rage after finishing. I give the game 8/10 Overall great game but the ending was really a let down.
Cal will never rebuild the Order, in the first game he had a terrible vision of what could happen should he try to (his Padawans getting killed by Inquisitors and him becoming an Inquisitor himself) Took Cal two games to realize and accept that the Jedi Order is gone for good, so was Cere and Cordova, and instead focus on what he have now (his lover Merrin, Greez, and later Kata as well) If Cal and Merrin is still alive after the Final Order’s Exegol defeat they would be in their 60s and I think they won’t rebuild the Order still
