Music & Technology Lecture Series Presents: Heidi Trefethen

As part of the Careers in Music & Technology Lecture Series, we had our second guest speaker of the Fall 2022 semester. Heidi Trefethen talked about her career experience as Recording & Live Sound Engineer, Composer & Educator.
Heidi Trefethen is a recording and live sound engineer, French hornist, composer and educator. She is a Front of House and monitor engineer at SFJAZZ and Freight and Salvage. She is also a faculty member of the Academy of Art University, SFJAZZ and Women’s Audio Mission where she teaches Recording, Mixing and Mastering and Live Sound classes. She is a GRAMMY voting member and Governor on the Board of the Recording Academy, San Francisco Chapter and the SF Chapter’s Ambassador to the National DEI team. She is passionate about making the music industry an inclusive space for women through her teaching and mentoring.
