I LOVE the v6. Had the base model for 48 hours and the V8 for 24. Honestly came away longing for the V6, sounded better, handled better, was all around much more pleasant.
Finally got a chance to test drive a base F Type, and I loved it! The quality of the materials, look, performance, comfort & sound are all A+. I have owned 5 sports cars, and this is the best one I have ever driven. Honestly cannot think about anything I don't like. I would absolutely buy one if I didn't have 3 kids.
It may not be the fastest, best handling or even most luxurious, but every time I see a review there is always a big smile on the drivers face. I'll take a v6 coupe with 6 speed please.
Great video but I wish you talked a bit about the differences between the base model and the V6 S. To be honest, I didn't even know there is a base model, I thought there are only V6 S and V8 R (and SVR now), if you told me this is an S with the badge taken off I would've believed you. I will google the differences now but it would've been nice if you included that in the video as well. Brilliant car, brilliant review, thanks to the owner for sharing the joy of F-type with us!
my mother has a 2014 F-type v8. I love the v8 sound and power, but you can't use all of it, but for gas sake i would say that the v6 is the better buy, still sounds great, still has a lot of power, has better gas mileage and with almost a 20 gallon tank it will last for days
i think if you can get the awd version get that as well, rwd can be fun for some, but i almost put it going side ways once flooring it around a corner, so i think the awd will help control that and put the power down better, especially in the corner like you said. i think u need to review an fpace as well just for a practical everyday car
its not about the cost of gas.... people who have a lot of money also value time, because time is money, and spending time having to go to the gas station every 2 days is lame..... i would rather fill up the v6 f type once a week vs 2 with the v8
Loved the review Matt, the v6 S manual coupe would be my choice, That thing sounds great considering it's stock. If I had one i'd live in a tunnel, Kyle you legend!
This car..... Mustang gt350r...new 2016 camaro SS....hellcats.....cars that never would need an aftermarket exhaust ...Just sound so right the way they are
I have a 2017 F type V6 8-speed coupe and agree with all that you said. Enjoyed the video!!!! The ride is firm but not harsh. My theory is the frame is extremely stiff allowing engineers to really fine tune the suspension leaning towards something of a softer setting. Body control is excellent too
I identify as Attack Helicopter Sold my C6 Z06 in july and leased an F type. Prior to the Z06 i had 5 other Corvettes, C5s and C6s. I sell cars for a living and am a diehard car enthusiast. Piss off lol Oh and subaruWRXFAN has a Mustang now and hasn't changed his name makes him a liar too? U see how that works
I have a 2015 Coupe S and I think the non-dynamic setting for the suspension removes too much damping for bumps. I find the dynamic setting for the suspension better damped for bumps on the road and to me, doesn't feel as harsh. However, I do have a race spec S2000 so everything feels softer on the road to me. ;)
I have the 380s F Type and can tell you the unsettled rear end you mentioned here says more about your driving style than the car. Mine is the 2014 model and drives like its on rails ! Maybe the pressures were a bit down, or you didn't keep it buried in the bends. I've had the odd "skip" but nothing like the unsettled stuff you mention here. The sound is like Heroin..... you just GOTTA have it make some more ! Without doubt, the best planted go where you point it superb car i have ever owned.
I just got a 2016 "R" for 1/2 the price of new. Near perfect condition and 100% reliable (so far of course). Great time to buy used. Did you pull the trigger?
Hey Matt ! I would absolutely love to see you make a Mazdaspeed6 review since I have one and I would like to see your reaction to a car I actually own :)
Great video and review like always! Do you like the sound of the v6 or v8 ftype more? Obviously the v8 performs better but the v6 just sounds so glorious on those downrevs!
Can you review a B5 Audi s4 by any chance? I have one and I was just wondering what your thoughts are on it. I also know some other people that would really like to see a review on it. Thank you, if you can't get one that's fine no worries.
Just get any used inline 6 turbo BMW, tune it to make the same exact kind of exhaust note. Also comes with a very similar zf trans and can easily make 350-400 to the wheels with simple modifications
Nice review,I’ve been watching you since 2018 I would like to see a review on a Chrysler crossfire srt6 330HP supercharged, or a Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T 2005 manual
Thanks! Probably will get the 86 sooner than the BRZ. I'll be driving both next week and filming quick drive videos on both, but full reviews will come hopefully in the next couple months as soon as I can get my hands on them.
His enthusiasm is definitely what hooks me in each video, no doubt
I don't know why, but your reviews are the only ones that actually make me imagine myself in the car you're reviewing (in a good way)
Me too bro
Geez those backfires while driving through some twisties. HEAVEN
lol backfires.
lol whoops.
I LOVE the v6. Had the base model for 48 hours and the V8 for 24. Honestly came away longing for the V6, sounded better, handled better, was all around much more pleasant.

The V6 is underrated, it's pretty awesome. Especially those backfires!
# ItsWhiteNoise it is but if you compare it with the V8 it’s over
those arent backfires. a backfire is when the combustion cycle occurs when the intake valve is open and the cylinder fires out the intake.
Aaron Galinsky OMG NOBODY CARES IF HE USED WRONG WORD WE ALL STILL UNDERSTAND WHAT HE’S SAYING
It sounds better than the v8 for sure
This has to be the best sounding V6 on the market. Insane
possibility my future mid life crisis car. it's very nice.
Robert Astoria lol nice typing bro
Robert Astoria same
Or you just love great cars!
My thoughts exactly!
"Mid Life crisis" aka my wife says I can get it and society approves.
Interior is definitely cooler than a Corvette lol
wow didn't expect to find you here buddy
That acceleration test was one of the best yet. That sound!!!
Those backfires and the crackles and pops from the exhaust and the ZF 8 speed. God it sounds so good!!!!!😍
I hope this guy never changes
Absolutely great review Matt as always!
Wonder if when he's about to get it on if he thinks "lets turn on to this backroad here and see how she does (;"
It may not be the fastest, best handling or even most luxurious, but every time I see a review there is always a big smile on the drivers face. I'll take a v6 coupe with 6 speed please.
love the dual cams in the video of the POV and camera view of your reactions - A+
Saving up for this car now
I have the v6 Coupe, drove 5 hrs to southern England, no problems only req a couple of breaks. Great car. Love it !
shout out to that hater who dislikes when the video hasn't been out for even 10 minutes
He's here every week!
u a little late
A Tesla owner no doubt.
Gotta love the active exhaust!
12:16 Snap, Crackle, Pop!
Replayed that part over 20 times
YESSS another F-Type review!! Best thing to wake up to this morning.
Great video but I wish you talked a bit about the differences between the base model and the V6 S. Brilliant car, brilliant review, thanks to the owner for sharing the joy of F-type with us!
You don't even need words for this review. Just look at that smile and laughing! That's what it's about.
Love this car, and that sound, music to my ears.
5:54 "And then you have the all important boner.. button" Hahah great overall review, I just found that funny.
I feel like I've just had good a ride with you. A terrific car and a terrific review.
my mother has a 2014 F-type v8. I love the v8 sound and power, but you can't use all of it, but for gas sake i would say that the v6 is the better buy, still sounds great, still has a lot of power, has better gas mileage and with almost a 20 gallon tank it will last for days

IceTeaMan022 I don't think someone who can afford the ftype will mind gas too much
its not about the cost of gas.... people who have a lot of money also value time, because time is money, and spending time having to go to the gas station every 2 days is lame..... i would rather fill up the v6 f type once a week vs 2 with the v8
Your mother is one awesome mother to drive around the rwd f type v8
hahaha she drives it like it's a Cadillac though. she took me to some diner once and a civic passed us getting on the high way. lameeee lol
Thanks to your amazing reviews this car is my favorite car of all time
Awesome video Matt! This is definitely in my top 5. Would love to see you review the 6 speed version!
OMG it's a symphony that machine even in person sounds a looot better
Great video. The split screen footage is awesome!
I noticed the Sewickley map on the infotainment. I used to live off camp meeting road. Great area.
I really like the dual split screen. Keep doing that! Keep up the good work
F Types are just so damn perfect.
Hands down... best sounding v6 exhaust... wow
Sadly it's supercharged haha
Loved the review Matt, the v6 S manual coupe would be my choice, That thing sounds great considering it's stock. If I had one i'd live in a tunnel, Kyle you legend!
Next Vehicle Virgins Video: MY MOM TOOK AWAY MY LAMBO AND WON'T CO-SIGN ANOTHER LEASE FOR ME!!!
yep
JDLARSON11 5 things I hate about my mom
I really hope this is a joke. Hating on someones channel in the comment section of a completley unrelated channel is quite sad
VolvoGustav it's a joke
I really hope you don't think he went from taking at least a $20,000 loss on a $100,000 car and bought a $200,000+ car all on his own.
Should have done a full on tunnel run! Would be awesome to hear that thing pop and crackle in the tunnel.
List your Favourite engine application .
For me,
V6 - f type
V8 - f type
V10 - LFA
V12 - Ferraris
This car..... Mustang gt350r...new 2016 camaro SS....hellcats.....cars that never would need an aftermarket exhaust ...Just sound so right the way they are
Hey subaruwrxfan, can you please review the brand new Ghibli or Granturismo? I really want to hear your opinion on them
I have a 2017 F type V6 8-speed coupe and agree with all that you said. Enjoyed the video!!!! The ride is firm but not harsh. My theory is the frame is extremely stiff allowing engineers to really fine tune the suspension leaning towards something of a softer setting. Body control is excellent too

MNite & Co damn you shut his ass up😂😂

I can definitely see you in this car over the stang lol
Kyle let me drive this the other day... and damn... is it a blast!
I have the 380s F Type and can tell you the unsettled rear end you mentioned here says more about your driving style than the car. Mine is the 2014 model and drives like its on rails ! I am a subscriber and think your video reviews are fantastic! I am looking into getting a Celica GTS and would love to see your review on it. Thanks!
Doesn't sound bad for a V6, that's for sure!
I want this car so bad. Base form and all. I'm going to look deeply into getting this next year depreciation makes this lean in my favor.
Still a badass car after all these years!
Do you have Videos or mistamake a video of the Mercedes-Benz E class
A True modern day Jaguar XKE. So happy Jaguar made that car. The middle twin exhaust rocks :-) Long live the F-type V-6.
Best sounding V6 on earth.
You can’t fake that enthusiasm
May be my next car but an S AWD version as would be my daily driver even in the snow...
good entertaining vid. like the splitscreen, but maybe set yourself upperleft corner and the rest of the screen for the driving.
great video and demo of driving experience
Great video and review like always! Do you like the sound of the v6 or v8 ftype more? Obviously the v8 performs better but the v6 just sounds so glorious on those downrevs!
Is the F type R air suspension or just classic springs
Can you review a B5 Audi s4 by any chance? I have one and I was just wondering what your thoughts are on it. I also know some other people that would really like to see a review on it. Thank you, if you can't get one that's fine no worries.
Hey!! Review the Ford Fusion Sport please!!! I friggen love your reviews man!!!
Nice video as usual man. Could you try and get a manual Volvo S60R?
Love the enthusiasm.
Do all the "S" models have active exhaust? Or is that an optiion on all models?
I love this car so much!
Is it a good idea to buy one of these pre owned with 30k miles?
Just want to know, I'm 6'5". Will I even fit???
Just get any used inline 6 turbo BMW, tune it to make the same exact kind of exhaust note. Also comes with a very similar zf trans and can easily make 350-400 to the wheels with simple modifications
Tunes and mods don't count. Voids the warranty. Comparing apples to apples means stock to stock exhaust. FType R seems to always win.
Why does the V8 exist?
Crazy, but the V8 is even faster AND louder (in a good way). Not necessary at all, but it's even better than the V6.
Do you think the S trim is necessary if I do mostly inner city driving???
Love Jaguars! Nice review.
Awesome Review! Yea, this is my next sports car! - Cheers!
So, Matt, all these years later, this or the Supra?
one problem, old intro was beter
Why didn't you get your GT in a convertible?
Can you please do a VW Scirocco review (if possible), I'm planning on buying one
Does tata motors still own jaguar?
Rolling art:) Awsome review!!
I think this wins for the best v6 sound
nice, do a E30 reivew!!!
Piece of junk, belongs in a dumpster
Town of Salem Tutorials sure, and ride your bicycle then
I need one in my life
Looks like the definition of a sports car
Nice review,I’ve been watching you since 2018
I would like to see a review on a Chrysler crossfire srt6 330HP supercharged, or a Audi A4 Quattro 2.0T 2005 manual
Great review. Do u plan to review Subaru Levorg GTS ?
What an excellent review! You did us Brits justice 🇬🇧
Awesome filming, u need a polarizer for ur camera tho! Kills the reflections (:
Excellent review! 👍
Kinda surprised how the V6 sounds like the 3.6 in the Camaro just without the crackles
Is it just me or when the "burps" or "crackles" of the exaust happened I smiled to
You should do a video on a 2002 camaro ss/z28!
can you do a saab 9-3 aero review?
Nice car. Good review. Any plans soon to review the new BRZ or 86?
Thanks! Probably will get the 86 sooner than the BRZ. I'll be driving both next week and filming quick drive videos on both, but full reviews will come hopefully in the next couple months as soon as I can get my hands on them.
Honestly seems very similar to the v6 Camaro, aside from that orgasmic exhaust of course
Peyton S. for 80k might as well buy a corvette
great review !
Dude, you are a good reviewer but a total GEEK fo sho...which aint a bad thing, js
actually in my opinion v6 is more badass than v8
That's just what people who have a tighter budget say.
@@gunner5916 no.. the v6 has a more defined sound and crackles than the v8
Great sound!
sounds good for a V6
COOL Review: 2016 Jaguar F-Type V6 Convertible
BRIAN BOB CHAPMAN Why would you restate the title?
how is this 6 cylinder compared to volvo polestar?
