    Ingredients:
    For Masala Base:
    RED CHILLIES - 10 - 12 (YOU CAN REMOVE SEEDS IF YOU WISH TO)
    COCONUT OIL - 1 TSP
    CINNAMON STICKS - ½ INCH
    GREEN CARDAMOM - 1
    CLOVES - 2
    CORIANDER SEEDS - 2 TBSP
    CUMIN SEEDS - 1 TSP
    BLACK PEPPER - ½ TBSP (YOU CAN USE ACCORDING TO YOUR TASTE)
    MUSTARD SEEDS - 1 TSP
    CAROM SEEDS / AJWAIN - ½ TSP.
    FENUGREEK SEEDS - 1/4TH TSP
    GARLIC PODS - 4 - 5
    CURRY LEAVES - 5 - 6
    Oil - 1 tsp.
    GRATED COCONUT - 1 CUP
    TURMERIC POWDER - 1/4TH TSP
    TAMARIND - SMALL HALF LEMON SIZED
    WATER AS PER REQUIRED TO PREPARE THICK PASTE
    TO PREPARE CLAMS SUKKA:
    COCONUT OIL - 4 TBSP (YOU CAN ALSO USE ANY OIL AS PER YOUR CHOICE)
    MUSTARD SEEDS - ½ TSP
    CRUSHED GARLIC - 4
    CURRY LEAVES - 8 - 10
    SLICED ONION - 2
    TOMATOES - 2 (PINCH OF SALT) HELPS TO COOK TOMATOES FASTER
    CLAMS (MARWAI) - 2 KG (WASHED & CLEANED)
    SALT TO CLAMS - 1/4TH TSP
    TURMERIC POWDER - ½ TSP
    PREPARED MASALA
    PREPARED COCONUT
    ADJUST SALT AS PER REQUIRED
    CORIANDER LEAVES
    Clams Sukka or Marwai Sukka is a Popular Seafood Delicacy from the Coastal City of Mangalore Where Clams are cooked in a Spicy Coconut Masala. Marwai stands for Clams in Tulu (Local language in Mangalore). Clams is a shellfish which are good source of Iron & can be cooked with or without shells. This makes a good Starter or side dish.
    Clams are cooked in its shell where grated coconut is dry roasted & some Indian spices are roasted along red chilies & then ground into a course mixture or a paste & then clams are cooked along the Onion, tomatoes & the prepared mixture on a low heat until clams are cooked.
