    Very nice review. Loved the detailed inspection and little clips to add a touch of humor, thank you!

    Sweet little scope-meter for the money. 😎 Thank you.

    I’ve got this meter for a couple of days and sure it has some quirks (built to a price of course) but to be honest I think this is a very nice and perfectly usable meter and for the price you really can’t go wrong with ir.

    TKS, now I know that mine is quite ok. I will shorten the battery spring with cutters too. * Subscribed

    That testing machine is pretty awesome. I've never seen anything like that before.

    They got the sticker warning correct, but then implemented it the wrong way around in the software!!! I expect the original intention would have been to have the other way around. Would be a good thing to have in the first firmware update.

    Thanks for the review. I'm still not sure they can work out all the firmware bugs.

    What are the physical sizes of the fuses?

    Nice comprehensive review. Possibly I missed it, but I like to know the open circuit voltage multimeters put out for the diode test. I have a Keysight bench meter that puts out over 9 volts for the diode test which is really useful but my other digital meters put out between 2 and 4 volts so not suitable for testing some LEDs.

      Yes sometimes I remember to check that, this time I didn’t.

      For this there is BSIDE ESR02 Pro

    Looks like a nice little meter. You manual change the range quite a bit. Must have missed the Auto-range feature?

      Yeah it is there but turns off if you do certain things.

    UPDATE.
    With the new 1.4.2. firmware update we now have a third trace available in the form of "FFT" (FAST FOURIER TRANSFORM) availability in glorious RED colour. It replaces the FORMAT position in the fourth menu which was used to delete the stored screen shots. It changes the "X" axis from time to frequency and as such changes the display to that of a a spectrum analyser. Frequency is plotted along the x-axis and amplitude is plotted along the y-axis. FFTs often look like a series of mountain peaks. The horizontal location of peaks indicates which frequencies are strongly present in the W/F. The valleys show which frequencies are absent. I tried this with the built in calibration sig gen on all the available W/Fs and it shows the strongest frequency is the prime 1 KHz followed in the case of square waves by diminishing amplitude peaks at each successive square wave. Quite useful when checking audio problems etc. The second change in the menu is in the 2nd row, what used to be the trigger position, is now "SAMPLE" with two choices, HD & PEAK, peak.

      Where did you find the 1.4.2 update? I tried the ZOYI site but they only had the 1.3.9. ...thanks

      @@norbertsenf1726 It was the Zoyi website I used. I have just checked again and it came up with... ZOYI-703S-FW-V142(1).ZTK Try again see how it goes.

    Have these scopes any use in factory maintenance

      Probably ok for testing power supply noise and some signal monitoring, wouldn’t use it on high voltage though, always best to stick to trusted equipment with suitable CAT rating.

    Volt meter should go red at 9V..... those little suckers hurt my tongue! 😊

      Now I’m wondering how you check the voltage of a car battery…terminals are too far apart for that to work.

    Just occurred to me. Have you got a good approach for measuring a DMM burden voltage when testing current measurements?

    • @TheDefpom
      @TheDefpom  11 месяцев назад +2

      I could do something to measure it, but it is already a massive video, so big I had to split it into 2 parts already.
      You could measure the shunt resistances with another meter, or measure the voltage across the input terminals whilst putting a known current through it.

    Thomas Edison would be angry when the multimeter went red alert at 100 DC.

    • @fusseldieb
      @fusseldieb 9 месяцев назад +1

      100 DC is probably "fine", whereas 100 AC is not.

    Hey!! cut the spring then, don't let it breake it self... urf...
    Edit, Ahh you did it, nice.
    Send it to me, i want it 😆

    The analog needle reading between 0-25 makes no sense. Does it have relation to the actual reeading?

      Agree. I'd prefer a little trend plot here.

      On my one it actually reads the correct voltage on both AC and DC. Firmware version 1.4.2.
