Indeed. Planning to move into an RV this month with the housing crisis and my first upgrade will be swapping the dinnete into extra counterspace/computer desk/dining table.
We have an '81. Was originally my great aunt and uncles. then mom and dad's, now ours. They do last. Took on a 5 state trip and she kept up with much newer riggs!
Very impressive. You have put a great deal of thought and planning into your remodel. You are so creative. Back in the 1970's the USA was planning to go to the metric system. I was in high school, and we were taught the metric system. The older generation whined so much that they delayed the change. Huge mistake. I am now the older generation, and I never hear about us changing anymore.
yeah i was told the same in AL but i learned some years ago that my mom was told the same thing in school, they'd better learn the metric system , we'd be changing to it soon and that was in the 1950's so apparently its the gov't that won't change. i had to learn it anyway as i worked in a medical related field i wish we'd just change it already!
Soo sOo beautiful guys..I love everything you did..there is so much natural light and a great place for the bed, the skylight is very romantic ...seems like kitty enjoys the adventure too. Your shower is more spacious and comfortable than most of the other Conversions. The cat is adorable. Travel safe and enjoy🎉😊
Very nice. Hope you have enjoyed the year without hindrance. Beautiful life, especially for young folk with good management skills, commitment to each other and loving kindness in tight places. Looks fun and inspirational. I would love to follow. Praying for safe travels, exciting people places and experiences and a life full of joy.
Straight to the point, no long intro, no music, love it!! A very elegant grande dame interior and exterior! Elle est magnifique! Remarkably good paint job outside, still like new. Inside, it looks serene and tranquil, with an understated elegance. Very French. Yes, even us Americans HATE the Imperial system we are stuck with. Try calculating fractions of an inch instead of metric cm and mm on nuts and bolts. Infuriating. This has to go, along with Daylight Savings Time. Maybe the next President...! Sigh. Why not put your succulent garden on OUTSIDE of bath window? Build a shelf with palette wood and stick them there. Plenty of sun! You can enjoy them from inside. Don't kill them slowly inside, that is sad. Loved what you did with the inside, esp the cat hatch! I'd like to have a nice large roof access on my RV. I have an identical layout 22 ft Class C Tioga Montara, Ford V10 E350, 1997., My shower is on other side of bathroom but also rear bath. Same kitchen layout but I don't have that overhead cabinet sticking out. I added a wooden wall to back of my countertop going from floor to halfway up to ceiling. This allows me to use it to hang spice racks on either side and solve that problem. It also prevents cooking grease from spreading to living room. You can try that too. Very nice job reupholstering the seats. I must get that done. Where did you go for that? Merci for the tour! Lovely meeting you both.
Great idea about putting the succulent garden on the outside! Luckily, to our own surprise, they didn't die (apparently sufficient UV came through the window). The upholstery was done by a local upholsterer called Bernie in San Diego, CA. He did a great job. It's one of the few things we really needed to outsource cause we couldn't have done it as beautifully/professionally ourselves. Thank you for your nice comment! Wishing you happy adventures in your Tioga!!
Your RV is the best I've ever seen (and trust me: I have seen a lot 🎉). Great lay out, lovely details and beautiful work. It is such an inspiration to watch. Thank you for sharing and have a safe journey ☀️ Greetings from Camilla in Denmark

Our son was interested in your work and sent us the link because we used to own a 2002 Midbath Lazy Daze. We spotted the Caravan Club number on the front and realized we knew the original owner from Lazy Daze Caravan gatherings around southern California while we had ours.
Oh what a coincidence! :) The original owner was very kind when we met him in 2020 for the purchase of the Lazy Daze. He took great care of his vehicle.
It’s beautiful! Awesome home on wheels! I really like all the windows. That makes such a difference. Thanks for the tour! And yes, chocolate makes Life that much better! ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
Wow! Amazing job! We have a 2001 that will definitely need some Reno’s if we keep it ( having major leak issues right now) you did a fantastic job on your oldie but goodie! Hope to meet up on the road one day! Happy travels!
might be a nice add to put a small simple drop table fastened to the side of the subwoofer box for a little extra table space, kinda like a little coffee table or just another way to sit and do work. the place looks really great, inside and out, a real comfortable space for sure.
Yes!! We actually do have that! In the cork floor, right in front of the couch, there is a little round hole (which we cover with a custom round piece of cork), in which we can stick a pole, and on this pole fits a table (custom wood table top/wooden slab). We forgot to feature it in our video, but we definitely used it on the road, e.g., for playing cards/facing each other/having more dinner space. When not in use, we store the pole and the table top in the vertical closet (the tall mirror closet in the bathroom). :) Most of the time we did just use the desk area for eating, though, cause we didn't need the extra table top space very often.
That's really cool. I couldn't make out what kind of toilet you've got and the gadget Hose like thing next to it. Not the storage baskets. It looks like a hose, maybe to wash with or to clean out the toilet with. Can you please write here what you said, Sweetie? I'm looking to go on the road and looking up my options for rv toilets. That looks interesting. I love what you did with your RV inside and out. I love your bamboo floor and what you did with the sink. Great job.
That water spigot next to the toilet is a bidet. The toilet is a regular Dometic toilet. Works great but in the future we'd go for a composting toilet so we don't have to deal with dumping black water. Good luck and enjoy your road trip!!

So cool you travel with your cat that's what I want to do When they get older
Our cat just turned two. I honestly think it's easier with a younger cat. The older the harder to train them to something new.
Such a clean RV! wonderfully thought out, very nice

Hello. Did you guys sell?
@@Merbella Hi Merbella, yes we did. Why?
Beautiful renovation! I need to do something with my rear passenger side, like you did. Where did u locate the part? I have a 1997 similar to yours but different model. Lazy daze is no doubt one of the best solid RV models out there with excellent exterior paint! Congrats on an awesome rig!!

TO UTURN: I think your renovation looks GREAT! Well done. I like everything about it.
I have a couple of questions. I read all of the comments first and your replies.
I like the cork floor. Since you put 17,000 miles of travel on the RV, and used it in various places, would you do the cork floor again? How much did it cost to add the cork? Did it hold up well or any advice for or against? I know it is used in some boats. I do like it.
Hi Uhlich. Thanks for the compliment. Yes, we'd definitely do the cork again. It's durable, beautiful and feels nice to the touch. I installed it with a quarter inch gap on all sides to leave room for expansion and contraction with fluctuating temperatures. We glued down the corkfloor to the plywood subfloor. This is definitely necessary cause the movement of the RV will otherwise loosen up the click laminate planks. After 17.000 miles the floor looked exactly like the day we put it in. Installing it was not easy with the plentitude of corners, angles, and cut outs but we think it was worth it. We bought it from Green Building Supply (www.greenbuildingsupply.com/All-Products/Flooring-Cork/Waterproof-Cork-Flooring-Cork-Look-Amorim-WISE). It cost us about 500 dollars. Best of luck!

This RV also comes with a more accessible downstairs bed! I hope you will find an RV that's right for you and your service dog! 🐕🦺 💗
Lovely, what kind of tint did you use for the windows?
The windows are original, didn't do anything to them! The manufacturer, Lazy Daze, did it.
Great job on your RV renovation! I wish you could have documented the challenges and progress of your reno. BTW... Yannick you ought to marry her :-)
We've been married for almost 10 years :)
Nice❤️
Nicely Done! but where are the closets?
There's actually a good amount of storage! 2 closets (1 above desk and 1 above couch), large deep closet next to the fridge (this closet we use as pantry), closets under the sink and under the oven, closets/cabinets above the kitchen countertops, and then a long/tall closet for hanging jackets/coats in the bathroom.
