right I just came from his rep reaction and he learned fast, back then he was like "I think this track might be about the same person as that other track"
I honestly didn’t think you’d like Lover since it is very different from Reputation and 1989 that you really liked. I was scared that the sudden change of mood would throw you off but it didn’t. I’m happy that you noticed the vulnerability of this album because it really is her, opening herself to all of us. You never know how much your Taylor videos make me happy. Your reactions, criticisms and blatant enjoyment are beautiful. They are obviously not trying to suck up to us Swifties but are your honest opinions. I have marathoned all of them and I’m looking forward to more. If you can, pls react to her classic ones since they are what made her. Anyways, your future videos have my full support.
I came here because there is a RUclipsr Swiftie who basically hates Lover... And all of his fans do too, and it just blows my in mind. I was starting to feel crazy for loving that album. It's nice to be back here, where it's really appreciated.
I love how she's always sung about men driving her places like, 'that old pick up truck you never let me drive' and 'he got a hand on the steering wheel the other on my heart', 'you almost ran the red cuz you were looking at me' and 'you drive me home' and so many others, but now in lover she says "*i'll drive*" and there's literally a video from Joe of her driving them around in England and holding his hand and kissing his hand. And I just think it shows perfectly how her relationship with Joe represents something brand new and a complete shift of what it used to be. They are equals, and she can take charge when she wants to and he's more than okay with it, because he just *accepts* her.
46:44 “you could play the album on shuffle and not get lost in translation” “maybe we got lost in translation, maybe I asked for too much” sir, RED is calling your name
You mentioned “now we’re getting vulnerable Taylor” during The Archer.. Fun tip, track number 5 on all of her albums are usually the most vulnerable/sentimental ones. It’s actually a pattern of her’s that she herself has recently discovered. It’s been really fun watching you discover her artistry, you’re so in tune and it’s awesome!
Fun Fact: Lover had the best-selling debut week sale since her album REPUTATION! Lover is the second best-selling album World wide. Although Lover was released in 2019,it is the 4th best-selling female album with 400,000 units! Queen slaying!
Hmm is this known to be referring to London in Delicate? I always assumed it all took place in NYC, given the video, and "3rd floor on the west side, me and you... do the girls BACK home touch you like I do" and I guess someone found the floor plan for her NYC apartment (I think it was the Cornelia street rental) and noted the bedroom on the 3rd floor 🤔 interesting though
did you know that “skipping down 16th avenue” (in i think he knows) refers to the street that her recording studio is on in nashville. lmao i love that fact that joe has her sKippIng to record more songs about him
My interpretation of the archer isn’t “her going after people and people going after her” it’s about how you can be the one to hurt someone in a relationship and break things off or you could be the one who is broken up with and left alone and this correlates with the next like which is “who could ever leave me darling, but who could stay” and it’s all in reference to her rocky dating past.
Time Stamps 3:52 I Forgot You Existed 6:45 Cruel Summer 10:13 Lover 15:14 The Man 18:06 The Archer 20:26 I Think He Knows 22:14 Miss Americana and thw Heart Break Prince 24:22 Paper Rings 26:22 Cornelia Street 28:42 Death by a Thousand Cuts 30:21 London Boy 32:41 Soon You'll Get Better 35:11 False God 36:33 You Need To Calm Down 38:05 Afterglow 39:31 Me! 42:26 It's Nice to Have a Friend 44:35 Daylight
btw THE BRIDGE IN DAYLIGHT has a lot of references to her albums, “burning red” = red, “new york” = 1989, “black and white” = reputation, “golden” = lover 🤍✨🤧
Cruel Summer: I'm drunk in the back of the car and I cry like a baby coming home from the bar. Getaway Car: I'm in the getaway car, left you in the motel bar (...) I was crying in the getaway car. For me, these songs talk about kind of the same situation. Getaway Car is her leaving Calvin, dating Tom and realizing that relationship wasn't gonna happen. Cruel Summer is the final stages of Tom's relationship with her and her starting dating Joe after this whole situation and how she was insecure about it. Yes, Miss Americana is about politics (she confirmed it) and Soon You'll Get Better is about her mom's cancer (she's been struggling with it since 2015).
And if you listen to the bridge of cruel summer vs the other side of the door out to- it’s the exact same concept- chord progression (JUST LISTEN I PROMISE) im drunk in the back of the car and I’m crying like a baby coming home from the bar, said im fine but it wasn’t true “i don’t wanna keep secrets just to keep you” and i snuck in through the garden gate every night that summer just to seal my fate and I scream for whatever it’s worth “I love you ain’t that the worst thing you ever heard” Vs “With you face and the beautiful eyes and the conversation with the little whitelies and the faded picture of a beautiful life you carry me from the car up the stairs and I broke down crying was she worth this mess after everything in that little black dress after everything I must confess I need you”
wow that what i though .. Cruel summer especially the end ofthe song is the continuation of gayeway car the ending of the song is the same and we are here for it
Daylight references Red (song) in the bridge when she says "I once believed love would be burning red but it's golden) I love the growth and maturity it shows. I remember being a teenager and thought love was a feeling that can come and go without any control (passionate, intense, red) but real love is a commitment, its comfortable, dependable, golden.
Jack Antonoff has produced a plethora of Taylor Swift’s albums starting from 1989, Rep, and Lover. You seem to really enjoy his production style so just wanted to throw his name out there. He’s also produced Lorde’ album Melodrama & Lana Del Rey’s album Norman Fucking Rockwell along with his own projects from his band, Bleachers.
"Miss Americana" has a political message, the school theme represents the political parties and the electoral process through the football games and the king and queen of the homecoming. She's against the republicans, that's the reason behind this phrase: "We paint the town blue"
@@gracilerwick7872 That was a clue for the album release date. SPELLING IS FUN = 823 = August 23 - Once the album came out, the clue was no longer necessary - However, we listened to it so many times that, yes, the empty space is there.
taylor always talks about how she’s ‘known for’ writing songs about men and ‘dating around.’ she gets bashed for dating so many people, but when men like ed sheeran and bruno mars only write about women and dating, they don’t get any hate for it. she wants the respect that they have.
@@relent-lass7510 and look at that list man! only hotties. she would get a high five from me for all of her conquests! Taylor used to be a players leo style. MET gala, having a boy, getting a boy interested, but running away with yet another, boss move!
Sad fact: Soon You’ll Get Better is a song written about her mother’s fight with cancer :/ a song that she can’t even talk about without wanting to cry 😔
One of the coolest stories from this album is that Death by a thousand cuts was inspired by the movie Someone Great. The screen writer of that movie went through a horrible breakup. She’s mentioned that 1989 helped her get through that time and as a nod she even shot part of the movie on Cornelia St right by Taylor’s old apartment.
I don’t know if someone has already touched on this, but fun fact: Cornelia Street was where Taylor lived during the time when her relationship with Joe Alwin started to really take off (as well as where she lived when the bomb that was the Kayne phone call came out of nowhere and hit her.) The song, Cornelia Street, paints this picture of Taylor at one of the highest points in her life suddenly plummeting to what felt like one of the lowest/hardest points in her life. Yet the one thing/person that remained constant throughout was Joe. It’s actually very cool that you can Zillow that address and see the exact spot where she has a balcony where you could jump into an indoor pool (referencing TIWWCHNT where she starts off the song saying, “It was so nice throwing big parties. Jumping to the pool from the balcony. Everyone swimming in a champagne sea.”) I love how Cornelia Street gives us a glance into what Taylor’s life was like at that time. Where and who she was with romantically and otherwise in her life. Taylor may keep her relationships private in interviews (which she has EVERY right to do) but her albums are filled with little gifts or Easter eggs for her fans that tell us everything and more than an interview or paparazzi photos ever could. This is another example of how intelligent she is...to be able to keep her life private from the ones that only want to twist a fake narrative; yet at the same time, remain completely open to the fans that love her music, care for her as a person, and respect her boundaries. London Boy: Wriiten about Joe Alwin, who is a main topic of the Lover album. (Hopefully her future hubby IMO!) Soon You’ll Get Better: About her mama, Andrea Swift’s battle with cancer. Mama Swift is like a mom for all Taylor fans. This song always makes me cry. This album is great. I can’t wait to hear your reaction for the documentary, “Miss Americana” and RED!! Loving your channel :)
She said the inspiration of Death by a Thousand Cuts was the movie Someone Great. And the director to that movie said her inspiration was Clean by Taylor
Plus in that movie they walk in front of her Cornelia Street rental, and DBATC and CS are like two side of a coin where one is about how a place can feel haunted by the end of a relationship and the other is about how you yourself can be haunted by the end of a relationship.
I came here to comment this exact thing! Someone Great is a really good movie and even better once I found out that it inspired Death By a Thousand Cuts.
In “the man” she’s not just talking about struggling harder to overcome obstacles, but even when she does overcome them they’re looked at negatively, whereas if a man did it they’d praise him. There’s so much depth
“The good ones never wait” on I Think He Knows is a reference to Sad, Beautiful, Tragic on her RED album where she sings “good girls - hopeful they’ll be and long they will wait” CHARACTER GROWTH period
M I felt that too. I was a part-time caregiver for my grandmother the last few months of her life and this song brought back all of those feelings. 😔 I’m sorry for your loss.
Dezi Nicole is there recent information about this that I haven’t seen? Because last I heard, Andrea is fighting cancer currently. I know she was in remission once before, but I am pretty sure it’s back.
Kat Batson yes she is still battling it. Her breast cancer metastasized to her brain and sadly when breast cancer metastasizes it becomes terminal. I found that part out from a family friend that is battling breast cancer that metastasized
For me "The Archer" is about her anxiety with love and not wanting it to end. I think with past relationships she has ended it before they could because she didnt want to be the one to get hurt (back to December). One of my favorite lines on the whole album "I wake in the night, I pace like a ghost, the room is on fire, invisible smoke, and all of my heroes die all alone. Help me hold onto you" Invisible smoke being the anxiet, and coming at night. It's not there but its terrifying, and everyone you love dies or leaves. Help me to not push you away. "The Archer" is underrated lyrically.
Cornelia street was a street that taylor rented an apartment in and Taylor wrote the song about her leaving without Joe knowing because she thought if she broke up/ left she would be spared of him breaking up with her later but Joe came out and saw her and told her that he wont leave
As someone whose mum is currently battling cancer, like Taylor's mum, Soon You'll Get Better kills me. I struggle to even listen to the song, beautiful as it is. She captures the feelings in such a powerful way.
Katelyn Oberholz I’d say so too, but she even said on her Instagram live when she announced The Archer, that she made it track 5 for that reason, so I guess she’s considering her track 5’s to be HER most personal and vulnerable tracks, and while Soon You’ll Get Better is both, it’s not about her. I think that’s what makes the track 5 thing so special is that it the most vulnerable and personal glimpse we get at Taylor, herself, on every album. The Archer, in this case, is about her, herself, and the huge amount of anxiety she’s had to deal with, especially after the 2016 drama, something she had never opened up about prior to the Lover era.
Mayank Negi i think considering the tone of the whole album, the like upbeat (while all you had to do was stay is still upbeat) but the lyrics is what makes her vulnerable because she is being left by someone she loves
In miss Americana & the heartbreak prince she sings "im crazier for you then i was at 16 lost in a film scene" it references a song 'crazier' she sang in hana Montana when she was younger
this series is just awesome cause as a swiftie I obviously don’t know any kanye references (besides the details from their feud), so seeing you be able to connect lyrics and theories from taylor’s music to kanye’s personal life and career opens another huge aspect to all of taylor’s music that I never would’ve known about! so thank you!! I mean seriously, that theory about cruel summer actually being linked to a project of kanye’s...woah
the archer was taylor’s first song ever where she was focused on no one but herself. it was an admittance to her being wrong at times and every part of anxiety that has been present in her life was shown. it was wild as a long time fan to here that
Fun fact: Lover is actually Taylor’s favorite album she’s ever made, and Lover is her favorite song she’s ever written. Lover is the album that she’s dreamed of making her entire career.
Diganta Talukdar That was old. When she went to China to promote Lover in November, she was asked at a fan Q&A event what her favorite album of hers is and she said that Lover is now her favorite album she’s ever made.
I think when an artist releases a new work, it becomes immediately their favourite one because this is the latest thing they've done. My favourite album of Taylor is Red but Lover is really her happiest album about love.
When he said “lost in translation” I was all like “How do you know about that lyric? Have you secretly listened to All Too Well without telling us?!?!”
The song Lover is about the quiet moments in love. it’s not about being crazy and keeping the christmas lights up until april or june, it’s about the fact that they are together and can do what they want. let their friends sleep over, keep up the christmas lights until january, save each other seats. it’s not about wild declarations of love.
He got the political reference on the first try, I didn't figure that out until later. Honestly I want to see him react to all of Taylor's albums. Cold as You does not seem like it's written by a sixteen year old.
You’re spot on in the political interpretation of Miss Americana: “boys will be boys” is something ppl said after Trump said what he did about women and so Taylor asks: “then where are the wise men?” Also, Fan fact: Track 5 are always Taylor’s most vulnerable songs on the track (All you had to do was stay (1989), Delicate (Reputation) The Archer (Lover). Fans started noticing the pattern with her earlier songs and she kept putting those vulnerable songs as #5
Actually, she wanted to break that tradition with 1989 so AYHTDWS is not that vulnerable of a song, because she wanted none of the songs on 1989 to be a track 5.
Oh man I hope he gets around to the debut album and hears Cold As You and how a 15/16 year old wrote it. And Dear John 😭😭😭 and the studio version of All Too Well 😭😭😭😭😭
"Soon You'll Get Better" is about her mom's struggle with cancer. She said she'll probably not perform that song live, because she doesn't think she can do it without crying. She performed on the online festival (idk the name), but you could see her fighting back tears.
Giovanna Araújo I thinks so too, plus I think during One World: Together At Home she realized how much this would help the greater world, with people’s family getting sick. She was able to push past the personal notes of the song, & perform it to better the world, help people feel understood
Cruel summer is allegedly about her and Joe when they weren't "serious" and were suppose to keep it casual. She was frustrated about the situation because she had feelings for him, this is why it's a cruel summer. "I love you ain't that the worst thing you've ever heard?". I guess it does wink at Delicate at the point where it's a delicate situation and she was not sure he felt the same "is it too soon to do this yet?"
My Favorite in the album is Daylight, because of the clear narration of her change in perspective. Red (2012) : Moving on from him is impossible when I JUST SEE IT ALL IN MY HEAD. IN BURNING RED. Daylight (2019): I can still see at all in my head. Back and forth from New York, sneaking in your bed. I once believed LOVE WOULD BE BURNING RED. BUT IT'S GOLDEN. LIKE DAYLIGHT. Bruh!
Every record that Taylor has ever created is a masterpiece in its own way. They all are different and all are relatable and vulnerable. Most of people hate on her without even listening to her music just cuz everyone else is hating on her so they do too. But once you get to know her you realise that she's a fucking gem and should be protected at any cost. Not just a great musician but a great human being and that matters to me as much as her music does.
Lol. You haven't heard RED. Get tissues already. But please do include Deluxe album tracks. The moment I knew is THAT song. Which is in delux album version.
Cara Stewart theres no video of him reacting to the documentary only the concert but he did mention he saw the documentary when he reviewed the 1989 album but also if he had seen it then he would have heard Out of the Woods, All Too Well, Lover, The Archer, The Man, ME!, and You Need To Calm Down because they’re all featured in the film so it’s confusing.
@@TweeterbugKayla Weird cause I watched his review some time ago when I was watching a bunch of different people's reviews and he did one too but it's not up anymore

Saaaaame opinion :)
I WAS THINKING THE SAME! I was hoping he'd react to RED before Lover, but I was pleasantly surprised. Especially with his reaction ME!
I came here because there is a RUclipsr Swiftie who basically hates Lover... And all of his fans do too, and it just blows my in mind. I was starting to feel crazy for loving that album. It's nice to be back here, where it's really appreciated.
The connection between I know places and the archer....
“I’ve been the archer, I’ve been the prey”
“They are the hunters,we are the foxes.”
🤯🤯🤯
Omg.... you-your username ...

Hahaha
You see a true Swiftie when he makes a whole complete theory based on the fact that both of the songs are mentioning a bar
ahaha true
You mentioned “now we’re getting vulnerable Taylor” during The Archer.. Fun tip, track number 5 on all of her albums are usually the most vulnerable/sentimental ones. It’s actually a pattern of her’s that she herself has recently discovered. It’s been really fun watching you discover her artistry, you’re so in tune and it’s awesome!
That fact is life changing ❤️
I feel like Soon You'll Get Better is her most vulnerable and sentimental track on this album tho
But how is all you had to do was stay a vulnerable track?
I feel like Cornelia Street should've been her fifth track tho.
@@freesuckerMCR Cornelia Street isn't even her most vulnerable track tho

Fun Fact: Lover had the best-selling debut week sale since her album REPUTATION!
Lover is the second best-selling album World wide.
Although Lover was released in 2019,it is the 4th best-selling female album with 400,000 units!

The fact that he he knows Joe and says "Taylor's lover Joe" I mean, c'mon sir that's swiftie behavior
Fun fact: The dive bar on the East side in London is called the archer.
No it's not. "East side" is a New York reference. And The Archer in London is an upscale cocktail bar, not a dive bar...
Tracks 5!!!
Oh wow
“Dive bar at the east side where you at”
Brooooooo
We all love the gasp in Soon You’ll Get Better so now you have to hear the breath in Last Kiss
I'm actually v impressed that he's listening to her with an open mind.
Let's take a moment to remember the line "Hey kids! Spelling is fun!".
I almost miss it. I remember other people reacting to it.
Every time I hear ME! I hear Taylor saying “hey kids spelling is fun” in my head
I miss it 😭
Transformation is complete he is a swifty now.
THE CONNECTION BETWEEN DELICATE AND CRUEL SUMMER OH MY GOD MY MIND IS BLOWN HOW DID I NOT REALIZE IT BEFORE
He nailed it with the connection.
did you know that “skipping down 16th avenue” (in i think he knows) refers to the street that her recording studio is on in nashville. lmao i love that fact that joe has her sKippIng to record more songs about him
My interpretation of the archer isn’t “her going after people and people going after her” it’s about how you can be the one to hurt someone in a relationship and break things off or you could be the one who is broken up with and left alone and this correlates with the next like which is “who could ever leave me darling, but who could stay” and it’s all in reference to her rocky dating past.

btw THE BRIDGE IN DAYLIGHT has a lot of references to her albums, “burning red” = red, “new york” = 1989, “black and white” = reputation, “golden” = lover 🤍✨🤧
🥺🥺🥺❤❤
🥺❤️❤️
The reference to Red is my absolute favorite. The pure growth she's had in her understanding of what love is...ugh...I just love it so much
new york is referencing cornelia street
And in terms of production, Cruel Summer is a continuation of Getaway Car.
And if you listen to the bridge of cruel summer vs the other side of the door out to- it’s the exact same concept- chord progression (JUST LISTEN I PROMISE)
im drunk in the back of the car and I’m crying like a baby coming home from the bar, said im fine but it wasn’t true “i don’t wanna keep secrets just to keep you” and i snuck in through the garden gate every night that summer just to seal my fate and I scream for whatever it’s worth “I love you ain’t that the worst thing you ever heard”
Vs
“With you face and the beautiful eyes and the conversation with the little whitelies and the faded picture of a beautiful life you carry me from the car up the stairs and I broke down crying was she worth this mess after everything in that little black dress after everything I must confess I need you”
wow that what i though ..
Afterglow is her apologizing she says “Sorry that I hurt you” not if I hurt you and that’s the difference people need to see?
THIS
false god wasn’t my favorite at first either but the more you listen to it you realize how good it is
Yesssss!! It was my least favorite for like the first month. And I frickin love false god now
The cadence of False God is almost awkward at first but it starts blending together the more you listen. It’s one of my top tracks!
False god is definitely underrated. It’s one of my favorites.
literally it was the one song i couldn’t remember the name of after the session but now i’m like WOAH SO THIS IS WHAT SHE MEAN OKAY
How many times do I have to hear it for it to get better? 😅 I love Taylor but False God and it's nice to have friend are my skip songs
Jack Antonoff has produced a plethora of Taylor Swift’s albums starting from 1989, Rep, and Lover. You seem to really enjoy his production style so just wanted to throw his name out there. He’s also produced Lorde’ album Melodrama & Lana Del Rey’s album Norman Fucking Rockwell along with his own projects from his band, Bleachers.
jack is best
YESSSS, Jack is the best :))
And he produced the Dixie Chicks' new album.
"Miss Americana" has a political message, the school theme represents the political parties and the electoral process through the football games and the king and queen of the homecoming. She's against the republicans, that's the reason behind this phrase: "We paint the town blue"
Only the young is for school shootings
and the fact that he got it in the first try yayy, we stan a swiftie
This series should be called "Watching a hip hop fan slowly turn into a swiftie"

taylor always talks about how she’s ‘known for’ writing songs about men and ‘dating around.’ she gets bashed for dating so many people, but when men like ed sheeran and bruno mars only write about women and dating, they don’t get any hate for it. she wants the respect that they have.
And shes actually dated the average amount of guys most girls do
So i dont get why people say she dates too much
Congratulations Becky! ! exactly! that’s why i put ‘dating around’ in quotations because people take it further than what it is.
Liberty Jane people just want an excuse to dislike her
@@relent-lass7510 and look at that list man! only hotties. she would get a high five from me for all of her conquests!
She’s mentioned that 1989 helped her get through that time and as a nod she even shot part of the movie on Cornelia St right by Taylor’s old apartment.
when you said you were proud of her MY HEART BURST
(Hopefully her future hubby IMO!)
Soon You’ll Get Better: About her mama, Andrea Swift’s battle with cancer. Mama Swift is like a mom for all Taylor fans. This song always makes me cry.
This album is great.
I can’t wait to hear your reaction for the documentary, “Miss Americana” and RED!! Loving your channel :)
so sorry but cornelia street is absolutely about karlie kloss as is pretty much all of the reputation album.
I just saw a video on that place.. it’s renting for 45k a month
I thought the movie was based on the director itself experience
Ashaabout she also said she was inspired by Clean.
“London boy” is the “gorgeous”of this album. I said what I said
And "Paper Rings" is the "Stay×3" of this album. Period
And both are bops!
Yes!!!
Cruel summer is the getaway car of this album
Honestly i like gorgeous more
I Think He Knows is seriously underrated, I can't even begin to say how much I love this song
I'm loving your transformation btw, keep it up.
I think He Knows is one of my top five favorite songs on the album.
Victor I LOVE that song! It makes me feel sexy and I love dancing / singing to it in the shower :))
I think he knows and Paper Rings are my top 2 from this album xD
My favorite song on the album. I just love the feeling it gives you. So great to listen to in the car. Very underrated
HELLO FELLOW ITHK STAN!! WE ARE RARE BUT POWERFUL

He’s ready for RED deluxe and SPEAK NOW deluxe.
In “the man” she’s not just talking about struggling harder to overcome obstacles, but even when she does overcome them they’re looked at negatively, whereas if a man did it they’d praise him. There’s so much depth
so much depth is so underrated song....
Right! I really want him to react to he video.
“The good ones never wait” on I Think He Knows is a reference to Sad, Beautiful, Tragic on her RED album where she sings “good girls - hopeful they’ll be and long they will wait” CHARACTER GROWTH period
Why didn’t anyone warn him about Soon You’ll Get Better? That song should come with a disclaimer.
M I felt that too. I was a part-time caregiver for my grandmother the last few months of her life and this song brought back all of those feelings. 😔 I’m sorry for your loss.
Makes me think about my mom too. It’s about her moms battle with cancer which she won.
Dezi Nicole is there recent information about this that I haven’t seen? Because last I heard, Andrea is fighting cancer currently. I know she was in remission once before, but I am pretty sure it’s back.
Kat Batson yeah I believe she’s still fighting it.
Their relationship is so cute and just makes me so soft like 🥺

Taylor's last 4 albums should be grouped as the "seasonal" albums:
Red = Fall
1989 = Summer
Reputation = Winter
Lover = Spring
That's awesome
Folklore = monsoon
@@potternutmania I've actually classified "folklore" as a fall album, alongside "Red." But a monsoon album is pretty valid 😂

“Damn just imagine hearing that song live” WE CANT CORONAVIRUS CANCELLED HER SHOWS I’m still so heartbroken abt it
As someone whose mum is currently battling cancer, like Taylor's mum, Soon You'll Get Better kills me. I struggle to even listen to the song, beautiful as it is. She captures the feelings in such a powerful way.
I'm so sorry. Hope she gets better! I'm sure your mom is a fighter and so are you! You're a strong person! We're all here for you ❤️✨

I'm not in this position and I cry every I hear it, imagine you!!
My mom had cancer (she's cancer free know!) and the fist time I listened to that song I burst into tears, I still can't listen to it without crying.
Something to keep in mind when listening to any other Taylor albums is that her track 5’s are usually her most vulnerable songs on each album.
Forevermore yes but also I think she broke that mold a bit with Soon You’ll Get Better on Lover.
Same with Reputation, I’d say call it what you want is much more vulnerable than Delicate
@@forevermore5449 But "All you had to do was stay" 😶😶
Mayank Negi i think considering the tone of the whole album, the like upbeat (while all you had to do was stay is still upbeat) but the lyrics is what makes her vulnerable because she is being left by someone she loves
In miss Americana & the heartbreak prince she sings "im crazier for you then i was at 16 lost in a film scene" it references a song 'crazier' she sang in hana Montana when she was younger
@Kolorful Kevin she's miss americana and I think the heartbreak prince is the country as a whole

this series is just awesome cause as a swiftie I obviously don’t know any kanye references (besides the details from their feud), so seeing you be able to connect lyrics and theories from taylor’s music to kanye’s personal life and career opens another huge aspect to all of taylor’s music that I never would’ve known about! so thank you!!

No she says that 1989 is the favourite thing that she has ever done
Diganta Talukdar she doesn’t know😭
Diganta Talukdar That was old. When she went to China to promote Lover in November, she was asked at a fan Q&A event what her favorite album of hers is and she said that Lover is now her favorite album she’s ever made.
I think when an artist releases a new work, it becomes immediately their favourite one because this is the latest thing they've done. My favourite album of Taylor is Red but Lover is really her happiest album about love.
hey its me Nope! Lover is her favorite song on the album and her favorite song she’s ever written.
Gorgeous: You should take it as a compliment that I got drunk and made fun of the way you talk.
London Boy: But, God, I love the English! ❤🔥
Nicely said!
FUN FACT: You mentioned that "Lover" could be a song at a wedding, Taylor actually released a First Dance Remix of Lover!
He got the political reference on the first try, I didn't figure that out until later. Honestly I want to see him react to all of Taylor's albums. Cold as You does not seem like it's written by a sixteen year old.
Same. I didn't get it until I read it online. I'm impressed he got it on his own.
Oh dear, cold as you is that bitch. Ugh, i hope he hears it soon 🥺
Also notice "The Archer" builds up over time, kind of like anxiety so that's another thing
THE TAYLOR SWIFT REACTION SERIES IS A MAJOR THING KEEPING ME HAPPY DURING QUARANTINE AAHHH
You’re spot on in the political interpretation of Miss Americana: “boys will be boys” is something ppl said after Trump said what he did about women and so Taylor asks: “then where are the wise men?”
Also, Fan fact: Track 5 are always Taylor’s most vulnerable songs on the track (All you had to do was stay (1989), Delicate (Reputation) The Archer (Lover).
And Dear John 😭😭😭 and the studio version of All Too Well 😭😭😭😭😭
ALL TOO WELL is the best track #5 song
you are 100% spot on with miss americana and the heartbreak prince, you’re not overthinking it
So refreshing to see, to me it was obvious but there have been so many reactions where they just do not get it at allll lmaoo
She was able to push past the personal notes of the song, & perform it to better the world, help people feel understood
that song is pure art and emotion.
Makes a person cry everytime
Cuz we know she adores her mother
Cruel summer is allegedly about her and Joe when they weren't "serious" and were suppose to keep it casual. She was frustrated about the situation because she had feelings for him, this is why it's a cruel summer. "I love you ain't that the worst thing you've ever heard?".
I guess it does wink at Delicate at the point where it's a delicate situation and she was not sure he felt the same "is it too soon to do this yet?"
Aww I didnt know this and it's so cute..I'm just 🥺🥺🥺
My Favorite in the album is Daylight, because of the clear narration of her change in perspective.
Bruh!
Cruel summer is a continuation to getaway car. You can check how the ending of gc and the beginning of cs blend so well

He is so adorable. But putting False God in the “Not So Good Track” list is insane!
Ikr!!! I was so shocked when I saw false god in the “not so good track”
What
I understand tho. It took me a couple times to really see how good of a song it is.
It’s the one song on the album that I always skip over...
False God is not a track you immediately fall in love with. Oh no, you'll _slowly_ fall in love with it, but you will.
If you want to listen to a lyrical masterpiece and see more of vulnerable Taylor, please listen to RED(deluxe)
Lol. You haven't heard RED. Get tissues already. But please do include Deluxe album tracks. The moment I knew is THAT song. Which is in delux album version.
Taylor's Deluxe editions are honestly better than the regular
The moment I knew.....its so good man

Yess 😍 so awesome
I believe he's already watched it on his own.
He has seen it already.. he did a review a few months ago
