Ronan was All Too Well all over again for you, but way more emotional and different emotions. That’s what I felt like when I first heard it live acoustic during the 1989 World Tour. Edit: I have a Speak Now Tour Playlist on RUclips that I can send you the link to if you need it. I’m definitely an Apple Music person, but the tour isn’t available in my area on Apple Music, so I created a playlist on RUclips, finding the videos with the best quality. Still, I don’t think it’s the same experience with the playlist vs. the whole tour, but it has to work for me. She actually wrote Ronan from following his story on his mom’s blog. She’s only performed it twice and the second time was because his mom was at one of her concerts. That song makes me cry any time I hear it since I’m a mom myself and I can’t imagine losing a child.
Fun fact that a lot of people don’t know: Taylor also wrote the song “You’ll Always Find Your Way Back Home” on the Hannah Montana movie soundtrack that Hannah sings at the end of the movie.
ALSO fun fact she wrote it with Martin Johnson from Boys Like Girls, aka who she wrote and sang Two Is Better Than One with. ANNNNDDD he is heavily speculated to be the guy her parents disapproved of that inspired Love Story!
She said in one of the interviews that it was too much like another song on the album, and she chose to include the other one. Sugarland was making an album, so she offered it to them. They were all part of Big Machine, so she thought they would do it right.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if “Christmas Tree Farm” isn’t playing at the end of a Hallmark Christmas movie about a romance happening on a Christmas tree farm, I will REVOLT.
Did they wrote the song together? I heard it was all from the blog and just listed her as cowriter because she kind of is from her blog.. they met and became friends though
I'm actually not 100% sure if you're aware, but Taylor writes every single one of her songs. She writes so many songs alone, but if she uses co-writers it's usually only 1 or 2, and those who have co-written with her have said that even then it's like 95% Taylor and they mostly get songwriting credits from cutting away parts of the song to match production etc. I just find it all so amazing, she's really a writer like no other
I still can’t believe that Taylor managed to write such an impactful and emotional song only using quotes from a blog. Ronan is a masterpiece. And it wrecks me every time.
Theres a version to the song that is actually just her singing it at the Bluebird Cafe, the person just put some music over it to make it sound like a normal song and not accoustic.
Taylor is on a John Mayer song called “half of my heart” if you ever run out of swift and want some more. She also wrote “this is what you came for” the Calvin Harris and Rihanna song and you can hear her voice in the background. Just some fun background Taylor if you need her lol. Also there’s a video of her singing better man, you should check out for sure
No, its Becky. aka Nils Sjöberg. There is a video of her singing This is What You Came For live; the Better Man video without the documentary clips of Scott Borchetta in the middle of the song is at Taylor Nation; unfortunately, it took out her arrival at the cafe and intro comments before she sang.
@@robertthompson7242 Taylor actually wrote it if you watch the look what you made me do the grave yard scene that name is on one of the graves. She wrote it for Calvin when they were together
Not being a bias here but Taylor's part in the movie Cats is the only part of the movie that I truly enjoyed. And that's also what a lot of critics says about the movie “The best part of the movie is Taylor Swift's Macavity.” 😻
Ronan was written about a young boy who died from cancer and the lyrics are taken from his mother's blog (she's credited as a co-writer). All the proceeds from the sale of the single go to cancer research. It makes me cry every time i hear it.
For those who don’t know, Tay also wrote ‘Always Find Your Way Back Home’ for the Hannah Montana movie. Also, ‘Half of My Heart’ by John Mayer is another great song featuring Taylor.
Omg I’ve always loved half of my heart by John Mayer! I had no idea she was on that track. That was back before Spotify- I just had mix cds from my older sister haha. I need to listen to it again!
React to "Babe" Sugarland feat Taylor Swift. It didn't make the final cut for RED, but Taylor features on the track and is in the video. WATCH THE VIDEO ITS EPIC!
Ronan wasn't a studio recording either. It was live from the stand up to cancer event. Taylor has sang this song once since that night and that was because Ronan's mother was in the crowd at one of her shows.
Richi Huq I love Rep and used to listen to it on repeat after I watched Rep Stadium Tour, until ME! came out and I was fully made a Swiftie again. I’ve had a rough history with Taylor’s music, and after I moved out of California and my friends betrayed me a few years ago, I couldn’t listen to her music anymore, especially 1989, because that used to be me and my friends’ favorite album, but when I watched the Rep Stadium Tour on New Year’s Eve in 2018, I started to come back to the Swiftie world, and something about ME! when it was first released just brought me back to the fandom. Of course, I can now listen to 1989 again and it’s once again my favorite album because of all the memories of me singing All You Had To Do Was Stay, Clean, Shake It Off, Out Of The Woods, and New Romantics with my friends. But Rep will always hold a special place in my heart because it’s the album that mostly drew me back to the Swiftie world. And ME! is no longer very important to me, but I’ll always remember when I had a playlist that was just a single song, and it was ME!, because I used to love that song so much. Reputation is my second favorite album of Taylor’s, and always will be.

Ronan is heartbreaking. I love that his mother fought for Taylor to have the right to her masters bc she didn’t want scooter Braun making money off that song (and bc taylor deserves them). I tend to play Taylor Swift in albums so I don’t go back to today was a fairytale often. But I know it by heart. I had it on a mixed cd in college (😂) when she was still a fairly new artist and listened to it, and her other music, constantly.
If you want to feel Christmas in July twice more, there’s 2 more original Christmas songs on her Sounds of the Season EP: Christmas Must Mean Something more and Christmases When You were Mine
Ronan is one of the saddest song I've ever listened to. The fact that it's a true story and Taylor references the lyrics on Ronan's mother's blog is even more heartbreaking
And you know it's coming from her heart when her voice sounds kinda choked, that part gives me chills... I can't really listen to Ronan because I can't stop crying it's just so heartbreaking, even the few lines in this reaction video made me cry😭
One of the sweetest things Taylor has done was stay connected with Ronan's mom, Maya. Taylor has invited Maya and her daughter to every tour since the song came out in 2012 ❤️And there's videos of Taylor playing Ronan as the surprise song at tour and I think those are the shows that Maya attended.
You should listen to Carrie Underwood's discography. The songs are similar to Taylor's country eras. Her vocals are unmatched and some of the storytelling in the songs are unbelievable.
"I'd lie" and "I Heart ?" are on her "Beautiful Eyes" EP that's for some reason not on...itunes, spotify, etc. You also missed "Half of my Heart" by John Mayer which is featuring taylor swift.... yeah that's who she wrote "Dear John" about. And since you did songs taylor wrote, you also missed the calvin harris song with rihanna "This is what You Came For" which has secret little taylor swift backing vocals, and she used a pseudonym for her songwriting credit, because she didn't want her name to overpower Calvin's accomplishment/work... even though she wrote it. It's a whole thing- the fake name she used was exposed and its on a tombstone in the Look What You Made me Do music video in the beginning when she's in the graveyard (we all know how taylor loves her easter eggs lol) Edit: also forgot "Permanent Marker" source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beautiful_Eyes
THE INTRO AND OUTRO WITH CIWYW HAS MY HEART. Lol notifications come through🙌 Points throughout the video: I do still listen to Today Was a Fairytale. I love movies like Valentine's Day and New Year's Day where tons of stories come together. So its also one of my favorite movies (not just for Taylor). The song is just so happy and its there for a good day. I assume we're around the same age, possibly within a year or two. Disney Olympics were the shit. Favorite show is probably Lizzie McGuire, then Hannah Montana. But when we were little, little kids there was a show called So Weird. It was my favorite. I just rewatched it and, hands down, best show. So Weird is #1. Ronan never ceases to make me sob. Listening to the bits even for a few seconds you played it, I teared up. Taylor wrote Babe and Better Man I believe during the RED era. The Civil Wars were featured in Safe and Sound.
Mmm I’m not sure if this is considered a droplet but Taylor had a second song from the cats movie. It’s called Macavity ( no one really knows about it though...since no one actually watched the movie 😭💀) anyways Loved the video btw
If you want to ease into the country genre a little bit, you should check out Kacey Musgraves Golden Hour album! It’s more of a pop-country sounds that is very well written imo (especially Space Cowboy and Lonely Weekend). I’d also recommend either of Maren Morris’s albums (singer from ‘The Middle’). Also in the pop-country realm with a killer voice and awesome songs! Also fun fact: her husband Ryan Hurd has covered Dress at his shows and put out a studio version of his cover of False God and it SLAPS.
Hearing Fabrizio saying he isn’t used to country is kinda weird to me, because I was literally raised on country music, it’s still to this day my favorite genre of music, and it definitely took me some time getting used to Taylor’s switch to pop. But once I got used to her doing pop, 1989 became my favorite album. But if I had to say, my third and fourth favorite albums of hers are Fearless and Speak Now. Rep is my second, and debut, Lover, and Red are tied for fifth. That being said, I generally listen to her country stuff more because that’s what I remember listening to all the time as a kid.
I hope you're gonna check out the music videos for some of these. Like the video for Christmas Tree Farm is home footage of baby Taylor at Christmas playing in the snow
For Me, All of Taylor's songs are timeless..I couldn't doubt or skip any of them from the first album to the last album because it's all relatable somehow..😊
Her best songs more tha timeless. They feel like they have always existed and she came along and unearthed them.. Its like a famous sculptor once said:" I don't carve a sculpture I simply remove the material to reveal what was already there". That's her talent.
@casually cruel yeah plus it has a similar lyric to The Last Time. Also some have speculated she didn't want to out Jake as a cheater from the lyrics in the bridge, or it could be about a different relationship and she didn't want people to think it was about him
Yay!! 18 seconds ago!! Can’t wait to see! Will edit later! So excited!! Edit: This video was such a great surprise! I wasn’t expecting that one next. I’m so glad you didn’t miss Two Is Better Than One. That came out around the same time as Mine and I was just beginning my relationship with my husband so it has a special place in my heart. I love your reactions! I almost felt like I was listening to some of these songs for the first time again!
Country music is very similar to reading where it can initially seem “boring” or something you don’t like until you find the book that speaks to you. It is a HUGE genre of music with a lot of sub genres to it! Hope to see more reactions of it from you!
With Taylor having quite a large repertoire, the biggest joy is in rediscovering songs you haven't listened to in maybe years (and still knowing every word)
I was about to sleep (5am in the Philippines) but I saw this. Ahhhhh 💕 Love your reactions! EYES OPEN is so underrated hmmm. I hope “I’d Lie” is on this list too. 😅
BABE was written was written by Taylor but she didnt feel like it it would suit the rep era so she gave it to sugarland. Btw you MUST listen to Battle. It's an unreleased song by taylor and was supposed to be on the Red album. I'm honestly mad Taylor didnt place it. It deserves attention. Could you react to it during the red era music video reaction. Plus babe, safe and sound and most of the droplets have music videos.
Safe and Sound is with the Civil Wars who are amazing! She also did a song with Kellie Pickler called Best Days of Your Life! If you want to dig into country music Tim McGraw and Keith Urban are two good choices! Also The Band Perry, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert!
Btw Taylor wrote the song Babe for Red but scrapped it and then she gave it to Sugarland in 2018 and featured on it. Better Man was also a Red reject, and you should react to her performance of it bc the emotion comes out a lot stronger when she sings it
LOVE the old Disney shows! I was obsessed with all the high school musical movies, Phil of the future, even Stevens, the Halloween town movies, everything that you mentioned, all of it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I love how he obviously wasn't ready for the high notes in i don't live forever 😂
It's a whole thing- the fake name she used was exposed and its on a tombstone in the Look What You Made me Do music video in the beginning when she's in the graveyard (we all know how taylor loves her easter eggs lol)
Edit: also forgot "Permanent Marker"

ID LIE WAS MY FAVORITE TAYLOR SWIFT SONG FOR SOOOO LONG I’m so glad someone else acknowledges it lmao
Please react to the live version of better man . She performed it at the blue bird cafe . It’s absolutely magical!!!!!
These videos are the highlights of my days tbh
THE INTRO AND OUTRO WITH CIWYW HAS MY HEART.
Lol notifications come through🙌
Points throughout the video:
I do still listen to Today Was a Fairytale.
So excited for u to see all the 1989/rep music vids
taylor still has a pic with T Pain from that videoshoot framed in her house lol.
Mmm I’m not sure if this is considered a droplet but Taylor had a second song from the cats movie. It’s called Macavity ( no one really knows about it though...since no one actually watched the movie 😭💀) anyways Loved the video btw
well that was originally on the soundtrack and she didn't write it, but I still like that song
Safe and Sound features The Civil Wars
If you want to ease into the country genre a little bit, you should check out Kacey Musgraves Golden Hour album! It’s more of a pop-country sounds that is very well written imo (especially Space Cowboy and Lonely Weekend).
I’d also recommend either of Maren Morris’s albums (singer from ‘The Middle’). Also in the pop-country realm with a killer voice and awesome songs! Also fun fact: her husband Ryan Hurd has covered Dress at his shows and put out a studio version of his cover of False God and it SLAPS.
ooh yes, I also don't really like country other than Taylor but I love Golden Hour
I’m generally not a fan of country but I love Kacey Musgraves, she’s so cute!
Kacey is phenomenal omg
I would recommend listening to Sam Hunt, he's got a country/pop/R&B mixup going.
Kacey Musgraves, Carrie Underwood, and Maren Morris would definitely ease him into the country scene.
Call it what you want instrumental, I hear you Fabrizio!!
Someone remembers the Disney Channel Games oh I loved those too
Hearing Fabrizio saying he isn’t used to country is kinda weird to me, because I was literally raised on country music, it’s still to this day my favorite genre of music, and it definitely took me some time getting used to Taylor’s switch to pop.
Call it what you want in the background is so soothing ❤️❤️❤️ Can't wait for you to react to RED music videos
literally finding your channel was the best thing to happen in quarantine
She also wrote "always find your way back home" from the Hannah Montana movie
I was really excited to see you react to her singles especially only the young and ronan!!
I love that Call it what you want background music 🤗😊
For Me, All of Taylor's songs are timeless..I couldn't doubt or skip any of them from the first album to the last album because it's all relatable somehow..😊
Her best songs more tha timeless. They feel like they have always existed and she came along and unearthed them.. Its like a famous sculptor once said:" I don't carve a sculpture I simply remove the material to reveal what was already there". That's her talent.
same taylor swift is the only artist where i like every single song, there has not been any other artist where i can say i love every single song
safe & sound is actually a feat. with the civil wars
Didn't she write Babe? Help, I need a higher level Swiftie to answer this!
She did
yes she wrote it for the Red album originally
Yes. And Sugarland preformed it with her
@casually cruel yeah plus it has a similar lyric to The Last Time. Also some have speculated she didn't want to out Jake as a cheater from the lyrics in the bridge, or it could be about a different relationship and she didn't want people to think it was about him
yes she did. She wrote it for red but never made the cut
I never clicked so fast,,my hands almost fell off.
"Only The Young" deserves an Oscar next year
ahhh call it what you want in the intro- already amazing
You should react to Taylor Swift’s 2019 American Music Awards performance! She does a medley of songs from a bunch of different albums
Also you should react to the AMAs live performance for artist of the decade
Actualy taylor wrote "this is what you came for" from calvin harris and rihanna.
Ugh Ronan gets me every time. Such a beautiful tribute though.
gotta say now you’ve seen thug story all that’s left is zac Efron and Taylor’s duet on Ellen and her iconic snl monologue song
I'm pretty sure Babe was written during Red era
@@rrrahmdni yep true
It was written for the *RED* era.
'Babe' is actually a song Taylor Swift wrote for RED but then gave it away to Sugarland :)
Finally.. just love all your Taylor Swift reactions
Better Man was also a Red reject, and you should react to her performance of it bc the emotion comes out a lot stronger when she sings it
The track for the Hunger Games soundtrack. Safe and Sound is by Taylor Swift ft The Civil War
I'M SO HAPPY YOU DID THIS! Like I'm literally dropping everything to watch rn!
OMG!! OMG!!! OMG!! I'm soo excited!! Have been waiting for this a long time ❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉
loooooooooving your taylor swift streak, its giving me life through all the bad shit 2020 threw at us
Can't wait for your reaction to the music videos of the red era
LOVE the old Disney shows! I was obsessed with all the high school musical movies, Phil of the future, even Stevens, the Halloween town movies, everything that you mentioned, all of it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Omg the Highway Don’t Care Music Video literally scared 13 year old me into never texting and driving as an adult. Thx Tim, Taylor, and Keith!
Speak Now World tour you can find the audio on spotify. But the actual footage is challenging to find. But people have been uploading the individual performances on youtube so you might be able to find a good amount of them. But there is a cd/DVD combo released of the audio/video. You can find it on amazon and im sure used copies for really cheap if you wanted to purchase to react to it. Definitely worth it!

Deluxe version has extra footage worth it
