The display works but the selfie camara doesn't work. if I go into the Kamara app it says camera error. Repairman said bring your cell phone by tomorrow and we'll check it out. The display of my device is the N9860 (Snapdragon model) , but what the repairman put in is N986 (Exynos model) . The display works, the fingerprint sensor works but only the front camara doesn't work. Is it because the display of the Note 20 Ultra Exynos model is not compatible with the Snapdragon model or because the repairer forgot to connect the Camara? Thanks for the answer ❤ PS. My english is very bad i use google translate
Hi, the display would not be the issue since it would be identical screens and the screens have nothing to do with the camera connection. So it's probably they did not connect the front facing camera cable or they didn't click it in the connector all the way. Should be an easy fix and if by any chance they damaged the camera cable or something, the camera should be fairly cheap as well so does not seem like a major problem. As long as nothing on the main board was damaged (like breaking the connector or a chip) then all should be good.
The sub board has some antenna contacts yes, but its not the only antenna on the phone. So if you do replace the sub board, you would need to make sure you get the exact model version for your phone or you would have reception issues.

You replaced the sub board/charger port board? Did you make sure to replace it with the specific model number version of your phone? Since different region model versions might have different antenna contacts on the sub board. Also make sure all cables are properly attached.
You made nice video but you did a big mistake to disconnect battery then middle of video you realised then you disconnect it and skips that part of video.
Thanks, but no I didn't. The battery was disconnected and the cable is just laying in the position over the connector and I end up moving it out of the way, I don't reconnect and disconnect it what would be the point of that.
Just a bit sped up and so forth to save time on video. You can apply isopropyl alcohol (www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/iFixit-Adhesive-Remover/IF145-400?o=4) to the sides of the battery and let it sit 30 seconds so it eats away at the adhesive under the battery making it easier to pry off.
this phone is just absolutely overpriced. I remember the day when samsung used to mock Apple for making over priced stuff. They became the very enemy they swore to destroy. Was looking forward to buy this :( .
Yea, in some ways. I feel the way things are headed, we will start seeing $1800 phones which should be priced at $1000 instead. People end up paying for them and the manufactures keep pricing them accordingly I guess. I remember a few years back when a breakthrough phone would release with all the high end specs and it would be $600-$700. Now everything on the high end seems to be priced at 1k or over since everyone else is going it.
@@PBKreviews the even worse part is that they are selling the exynoss varient of the phone in my country. I think it is time that Samsung ditched the exynoss chip set and settled down with Snapdragon

No, the one I took apart was not glued in. It's possible the variant you have was. Sometimes different regions or variants differ slightly. For example on this same phone, they have different region versions which come with copper vapor chambers vs the 3D graphite layer.
@@seth-bullock are all from the same region? That could be it. For example all from the NA region are the same vs differences in the Asian region vs etc.
yep, has its pros and cons I guess. Won't shatter when it falls and easier to pry off without the worry of cracking it for any repairs etc. But for a premium device you would kind of think they would have gone with a premium material
@@PBKreviews ~ Gorilla Glass Victus is more resistant to falls. My A7 2016 has Gorilla Glass 4 front and back. Fallen a number of times on concrete floors. Zero cracks.
You do get the metal frame. I've been using the Galaxy A50 which is all plastic, the Note 20 looks and feels premium compared to lower end devices. The plastic back has a nice matte feel.
@@Gamers_Revolution ~ that's the point. To hoodwink current A-series users up to A7 2019 to think that the Note 10 Lite, S10Lite, and the Note 20 are premium despite having a plastic back. A-series phones from the A3 all had a Glass-Aluminium-Glass construction from way back in 2016. Plastics belonged to J-Series. Samsung re-badged the J-Series with A-Series and took away all that upper mid-range high quality premium build that A-Series had. That's why your current A50 is plastic and my 2016 A7 is All glass and Aluminium chassis. That makes you see the Note 20 with a plastic back and Aluminium chassis as premium. But to those of us used to owning true premium built phones by Samsung know it's a rip-off.
I'm personally using the Note 20 ultra and loving it at the moment, but haven't used the Note 20. I feel the Note 20 would be best to wait a little for a price drop or good sale that people looking to buy would jump. Aside from the no easy pull tabs for battery removal and the plastic back (even though it has its benefits), I think the Note 20 is a well build device. The frame itself was lightweight but sturdy n strong and overall is a great phone. The price can be better though.

Hahahaha so I just bought another phone of mid gamma (Motorola Stylus 5G), wich is less delicate. Good luck man!
@@Mariemilygr hahah cool

HELP!!! I replaced the microphone on my Note20 and now I have no network at all!!! 3 different sim cards and the same problem. Only works on WiFi. someone please help!!!
You replaced the sub board/charger port board? Did you make sure to replace it with the specific model number version of your phone? Since different region model versions might have different antenna contacts on the sub board. Also make sure all cables are properly attached.
Watching on my note 20
Nice

Can I use your video on my RUclips channel with my voice in Hindi language
And gives credit to your channel 🙏🏼
As long as the logo is not covered or altered and credit has been given to the original video source then it should be fine.
@@PBKreviews Okkk
I will not cover your logo and gives credit to your video as video link in discription
And I will upload video on this channel ruclips.net/user/TechWisdom99
Thank You 😊
Nice work 👍
Thanks 👍
where is the intern memory?
its soldered to the board under the covered metal shield. Its not user removable.
Super Teardown 👍🏻
Thank you
You made nice video but you did a big mistake to disconnect battery then middle of video you realised then you disconnect it and skips that part of video.
Thanks, but no I didn't. The battery was disconnected and the cable is just laying in the position over the connector and I end up moving it out of the way, I don't reconnect and disconnect it what would be the point of that.
You made removing that battery looks so easy
Just a bit sped up and so forth to save time on video. You can apply isopropyl alcohol (www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/iFixit-Adhesive-Remover/IF145-400?o=4) to the sides of the battery and let it sit 30 seconds so it eats away at the adhesive under the battery making it easier to pry off.
Nice
Thanks!
Anybody from Reddit?
where is the cooper cooling XD
some variant note 20/note 20 plus have a copper vapor chamber but most seem to just have the 3D layer of graphite to transfer heat
Note 20 Ultra*** The snapdragon 865+version
Tnx😊
👍
thinking about iphone now
Wait for moto one fusion and moto one fusion+ teardown video
Isn't it strange that it has alot of hand writing and marking ?
a lot of phones have that, just QC in factories from inspections and so forth during manufacturing
where is the storage....
Next redmi 9
👌
this phone is just absolutely overpriced.
@@venkatjayadeepj1342 Yep, but I remember a time when the exynos chip was preferred over the snapdragon. Maybe they will one day make their chip more superior compared to the rest of the market, and it will be desired again. Who knows.
Big fail on the front camera removal. You neglect to tell people that these are silicone/glued in. Telling people about these kinds of details is important if you are going to do this kind of video.
No, the one I took apart was not glued in. It's possible the variant you have was. Sometimes different regions or variants differ slightly. For example on this same phone, they have different region versions which come with copper vapor chambers vs the 3D graphite layer.
@@PBKreviews wow really? I've taken apart like 6 note 20 ultras and all had the front camera glued in.
@@seth-bullock are all from the same region? That could be it. For example all from the NA region are the same vs differences in the Asian region vs etc.
Sir I can like but you give me note 20 ultra
😍❤🥇
Warning, I tried this and my back glass shattered.
It's made of glass, so if you're not careful or lift up too fast, it can shatter or crack.
$1000 and you get a plastic back 😐😐😐😐
yep, has its pros and cons I guess.
But to those of us used to owning true premium built phones by Samsung know it's a rip-off.
with other words , battery gone bad , buy a new phone ...
It's not too difficult to replace the battery in this phone. Some other phones are much more difficult. But this one is definitely doable.
This phone is totally not worth it
I'm personally using the Note 20 ultra and loving it at the moment, but haven't used the Note 20.
@@PBKreviews Well, when i said not worth is it's like the price tag, here were i live is MSRP + Country Tax of 20% + Store profit, resulting in a massive bump in price... Still my Red Magic 3 still rock solid with CN + Gapps + TWRP + MAgisk :D
@@4everkale Ya true
It's not note 20 ultra 😂
correct. its the note 20 as the title says. not the ultra.
jeeeze.. what a huge pain in the ass that is to take apart
