All tricks of trade have been used as per politics , thats ok . By the way the definition : Karma Yoga is described as the mental discipline or attitude that governs the actions of an individual and not being attached to the results of ur duty, as a politician in the current age , you have to do as per this age.
This selfless attitude etc is so much of philosophical foam , brewed in the casket of the pacifists oak, baked in the oven of lifted, but not experienced words . Initially arjun was selfless , but it was Lord Krishna who reminded Arjun of his duty , his past indignation , told him to fight as it was his duty, in a way he has told not to have lofty thoughts of philosophy .

However, I feel we can learn a lot of things from them - agility/flexibility (to switch parties), hard working, ability to handle failure, fail-learn-change and try again, never give up, determined, perseverance, risk assessment (chances to win), constant learning and growing, surmount any amount of obstacles to win, goal oriented (win election), wait for the right opportunity till then hang on etc.

From nowhere no resource to the artist of building his own empire , even at the age of 75 yrs his style of working literally motivates the younger generations. He is bhishma , vidhura , dharma , arjun what not every character in bharata has a space in his personality depending on the situation. Now he is busy with building a new city where the vision 2047 document is going to be placed.

this optimism is only because of one thing Dr. Sandeep and that is his work. The level of uncertainty and amount of experience he gained from it made him optimistic because he knows that the one who leaves his ground in his his line of work will be equal to a stray dog to the people at the end it's all politics and his ability to understand the nature of people around him there are many other examples Ratan Tata, Dharmendra, Amitabh Bacchan, Pawan Kalyan, etc. They all have one thing in common that they love the game they play and are excited when something unexpected happens.

Same thing I can tell about Karunanithi, you like him hate him, you DMk or BJP, that man's life is one hell of a ride. Pure hardwork and talent he worked worked worked and worked made what DMk is right now, even with a weak leader ( his son ) now, it stand one important political party in our country.
