The LiDAR is superior to a traditional camera for AR. It will measure your environment very precisely and project its own images accordingly on your lens/screen. The ability to take photos isn’t necessary for that.
Always take insurance for vehicles and gold. Including medical or accident or injury even if you don't have a permanent driving licence or outdated. Other things are immaterial. Be careful with glasses.

You would look like beer goggles at best. aRVR headset ski goggles size is the option.
How are you supposed to create a map of a room and translate sign language with no camera and that tiny lidar? If the lidar is really good enough for that it will cost at least $10k. Makes me skeptical of everything in the video.
