“It’s just a video game at the end of the day” is such a refreshing thing to hear from a gaming RUclipsr. So many people get so worked up about being perfectly optimized in games, which I find especially strange in non-competitive games, and then they complain that the game isn’t fun after they’ve optimized the fun out of it.
Breach Surge has been subsumed onto only two of my frames: Mag and Kullervo. Both have strong damage redirection abilities that affect a wide area. Breach Surge takes what they do already and turns the dial up to 11. The only reason is isn't on more of my frames is that what I need most of the time is not more damage, it's to fill a gap in the kit. But I find it is very strong on any frame that spreads or redirects damage already. I haven't tried it, but I bet it's great on Voruna.
When the Duviri Circus came out, I put it on a whole bunch of Frames, because it's also a great CC ability, and so if the team didn't have a good CC frame in it because of RNG, having a subsumed Breach Surge could often make a huge difference in Defense and Excavation stages, because blind + Radiation procs take a whole lot of pressure off the defense targets.
I plopped it on my Flachette orb damage setup for Vauban the extra multiplier to an already on enemy level scaling damage looks juicy, the sparks also help with the kill speed (due to kinda jank targeting algorythm of the orbs) and the blind working on eximus that walk through bastille makes it a decent extra safety net.
I have it on my Hydroid and I love it. plunder armor, breach surge, and then his 1. SO MANY SPARKS. At high damage too. Works perfectly on Tagfers mission.
Breach surge also synergyzes with her first and second ability. Her shock mote causes sparks sometimes. Whixh is nothing major but good to have. Where it does get major, is the fact that you can teleport to your motes with Breach surge. This massively increases the range. And your decoy from your 2 also creates its own breach surge. If you know where to stand, where to place your motes and where to send your decoy to, you can cover the entire room in a single breach surge cast, it's insane. Not many people know about this synergy and how much range you can cover. Breach surge overall is really good, it surprises me that I never see Wisps in public matches use it.
It's because most people are picking Wisp solely for her passive and her motes, nothing else. She can buff herself and her squadmates to absurd levels, and she is completely invisible while airborne, making endgame content a snorefest because you activate easy mode just by jumping. Breach Surge is at it's most effective when the affected target doesn't die in one shot, which is just not what a lot of players are about. "The enemies already die in one hit, why do I need to send out sparks that damage others when I could just shoot them once?" Similarly to people picking Revenant and then subsuming something over Enthrall; completely defeating the entire point of Revenant by getting rid of his main gimmick because "Mesmer Skin makes me immortal, why do I need an army to distract enemies?"
@@Sambhaid Idk man, we had Octavia, Mesa, and I had Wisp in a SP Circuit at around 4k enemy level, and at least I, was using a full default mod provided set of weapons, and we almost got stuck on that Excavation mission because the enemies were just about 1 shotting the excavator. All that to say, DPS is great when fight the things weak enough that die in one hit or two seconds like Netracell enemies or have your optimal stuff, but CC makes that a lot easier when you start pushing into ridiculous territory. Had to spam breach surge tech like a madman on top of Octavias ball to keep the excavator alive and we were rewarded with an ez pz extermination after....and a defense right after that.
Also worth noting that blinded enemies always take the +700% stealth damage bonus from melee (so long as your body isn't physically touching them), which is a pretty nice bonus
One thing to note is that if you use Scourge or Scourge Prime, it produces headshot attractors, which work on the surge sparks. The interesting thing is that surge sparks are produced from enemy heads, immediately trapping them in the attractor, and looping them back around to hit the same enemy that produced them. That allows you to turn Breach Surge into a very substantial flat damage multiplier to any weapon you use
Ahhh good old Garuda Breach surge You tag enemies with 4 for guaranteed Slash procks on damage And cast breach surge wich damages enemies creating slash prock procking itslelf And if you have at least 2 enemies it creates Feedback loop So Salutations... Teno :D
Breach Surge is one of the best damage multiplying abilities there are in this game. Just on paper it's amazing, but an ability can be the best ever on paper if you don't use it correctly. Or at all... I While I was still playing Warframe, Wisp quickly became my favorite frame. I farmed her on release day basically and didn't use breach surge that much... mostly because it was plain and simple absolute overkill 99% of the time.

I've known....conceptually...how it works, sure...but having it explained, and shown in such a transparent way I now ACTUALLY understand it. major props. it does seem like fun, and I DO love those big boomstick guns like...as you used, the kuva chakkhurr...one of my faves, [trying to get my tiburon prime to max stacks from critical precision is a minigame for me.] [and yes, I know about some of the exploits, like garuda's blood fountain, you can "farm headshots" from the trapped guy, shhh don't tell DE cause it's useful, sometimes.]
Something extra funny I found out, the seeker projectiles from breach surge count towards banshee's sonar multiplier. I don't know the math but if you get a seeker projectile to hit an enemy with a sonar thing on their head (completely ok their head) it does big funny number damage
I put breach surge on ivara for solo steel path duviri as it really helps if you get defence in the undercroft. It mainly means I don't have to care what weapons I get as artimis bow is great but can't kill crowds very quickly.
As a wisp fan I like seeing people explain breach surge properly. It's a great part of her kit and a very versatile subsume ability. I use it on a few different frames that otherwise lack in CC or just like having extra damage to spread around
Breach surge is really fun, the most fun circuit run I had was with high range nourish wisp, I had primer epitaph and got the decree that increases damage for each status affected enemy, I have no idea how exactly it worked, but I could constantly see millions of damage ticking across the map, it was beautiful.
Breach surge is awesome. I use it on quite a few frames. Qorvex is my latest. Pillars proc radiation on a room, cast surge, and hit towers with his big beam. Voila ! A fireworks display 👍
I find Breach surge is just phenomenal on any caster frame. Ember? Yes please. Garuda? Room nuked. Hell, Hildryn? Works if you want it to. And many other such examples
If I wanted a damage amplifying ability on a weapon platform frame (that isn't roar or nourish), would it be better to go breach surge or xatas whisper? I wanted to do something a little different on my Nezha that isn't just divine retribution nuke, so I was thinking of trying a weapon platform build revolved around reaping chakram and giving enemies damage vulnerability along with smth like breach or xatas
My main Wisp build is basically built for Breach Surge spam. 155% 45% 235% 217% Nourish (replace 4) to keep that energy flowing (RIP Nourish 03/2024) and then just blast Breach Surge in every room before blowing it up.
And on top of that it applies radiation status which bring chaos in enemy ranks. This ability is so insane that you can just spam it and only and get tons of damage, because if i understand right radiated enemies proc sparks with their damage. Especially fun in Circus game mode, where map is small and enemies are constant spamming.
Fun little synergy that shreds. Zephyr, replace 1 with Breach Surge 2 green gems for armour strip. Any high damage corrosive weapon. Use Breach Surge in a room full of enemies, activate your tornadoes and hit them with the corrosive weapon a few times. You can peacefully watch everything die. Have fun!
I use Breach Surge on my Baruuk Prime build. I subsumed it into the place of Elude. I use Lull to build up his meter while surviving and disarming with Desolate Hands, then when my meter is max I use Breach Surge to multiple the damage of Serene Storm
Nice video, def explained the ability to the point i finally understand what it actually does. I do wish you gone more in depth with other ability synergies such as garuda, or whether the augment is worth it. Also, if you cast it while teleporting to a mote it doubles its range.
I think the biggest reason Breach Surge is popular is because it's actually pretty accessible. Wisp is just a frame whose pieces drop from a boss, that boss being Ropalolyst who's actually not that hard as long as you use any amp better than the Mote, her pieces are relatively easy to build give or take maybe an hour of Corpus Gas Planet survival for hexenon depending on how much time you've spent there, and then once you get it, it's just Better Radial Blind in terms of usability-- which I've found is like, the go-to ability a new Warframe player learns is actually really strong in the game of Warframe, because 'Excalibur is literally a starter frame and he's got this button that makes enemies stop shooting you AND makes them more susceptible to melee damage.' Rhino Roar is debatably even easier to get, but that one still kinda requires you to build your guns well; Mirage Eclipse requires Simaris scans to get her blueprints back if you sold her non-prime and nobody likes doing those; Grendel's missions have keys to worry about and you need Arbitrations unlocked. Meanwhile Wisp just gives a perfectly usable button and the only test is 'are you far enough in the story quests, and do you feel like fighting the jankest boss for like an hour'. So not only is it relatively easy to get if you're at the part of the game where you're worrying about Helminth, it is extremely intuitive that it's good if you're the sort of player who should be trusted with Helminth. And it's only gotten better with age, since Overguard came out way later and this straight up ignores that.

To get the most of the augment you kinda need to teleport 25meters.. though sure, something like 15 meters is still kinda good and the energy cost reduction makes it spammable. I would say it depends on the tileset. If there are open spaces, big rooms or good corridors.. then yeah it might be worth the mod slot.
Breach Surge synergizes with Biting Frost. some of the most fun ive had in this game recently is casting breach surge and then avalanche and breach surge red crit
@@wolfofwarframe3807 yeah I do a combination between strength, range, and duration. I use the Kuva Chakkurr for the high single target and usually am shooting it with a minimum 700-1000% damage buff active
While maybe not the most optimal usage, Breach surge is also really nice on Nuke Volt, since they have the same range so if you cast them one after the other you will have a mess of jumping radiation and lightning bolts.
I tend to only use Breach Surge when there is a group worth using it on. But my setup lets me spam it even with low efficiency and energy. With Roar and my Trumna, it tears enemies apart with cascading explosions and sparks. Feels really good.
Could I recommend 2 topics that you could, maybe, touch on your "But why?" series? Armour, and Shields (especially Shield Gating): how they work, why they work, why they stop working, at what level each works best, what are their limitations, what could be the absolute limit one could push them through, etc.
It's extra silly with a pax seeker secondary tombfinger. Pax seeker shoots out homing projectiles which aim for headshots, which then send out breach surge projectiles.
Putting breach surge on my zephyr tornado build is the best thing I've done. It hits all the enemies in the tornado meatball, and each spark goes straight back into the meatball in a chain reaction. Hitting the tornadoes causes EVERYONE effected to be hit at once and cuts kill time in half if I'm not already destroying them without BS
Breach Surge is so good I put it on Dagath's 4 to get better AoE for steel path. My frost has it on 2, and occasionally hits damage cap in combination with his 4 and the frozen enemy crit augment. My favorite Breach Surge is in combination with Garuda's augmented 4, as the breach sparks cause new and stronger slash procs, which in turn release sparks.
Breech Surge also has a funny interaction with Voruna's Stealth crit damage multiplier, as shes stealthed when you blind everything giving all the sparks a stealth damage multiplier + the ability damage multiplier. so its not uncommong to see anywhere from 5 Mil to 35+ Million damage in steel path on entire rooms for me
Nezha in particular REALLY likes Breach Surge, because the damage multiplier from Surge actually stacks with Blazing Chakram's damage vulnerability. Even pretty weak weapons start to hit like a bulldozer when 5X damage sparks hit enemies with 4X damage vulnerability. It isn't as outright powerful as his new Divine Retribution augment, but it's different and very fun.
i put breach surge on my explosive ledgermain build for mirage. the combo of the mines and the surge sparks go brrr real good... and if for some reason i just need a little bit more, i always have my prism to fall back on.
Welp now I'm going to go test Breach Surge Gyre muahahah! I made her into a caster and I've tested a few different Subsumes on her. So far I've tested Gloom (Great for increasing her survivability and crowd control, however slowing enemies by 90% also makes defense-type missions slower so I wasn't too much of a fan of that). Then I tested Nourish (also great, but it didn't really synergize with her other abilities TOO much other than the passive energy Regen; getting a multiplier on Gyre's already existing Regen basically allowed me to spam my 1 like it was a grenade and that was pretty fun). Breach Surge I feel like would be awesome for her though, because the radial lightning would make the Surged enemies constantly spew sparks until death if this works like I think it will!
Replace my Stretch with Archon Stretch in the build to make up for the loss of Nourish, allowing me to still throw my 1 every couple seconds and aid with spam Surges too.
I know the power of breach surge but imo it kinds sucks. 1. It doesn't go thru walls 2. Its not a sphere type of initial spread its horizontal (i jump a lot so it happends a lot that my breach surge activations just completely misses everything). 3. I play on mindset of speedrunning the game. I build my frames to be tanky and do room clearning. Again i said that i know the power of breach surge just its not abbility for me.
If we are gonna talk about underrated abilities to subsume i feel elemental ward is up there, it has soo much utility and can make alot of characters become health tanks
I use it with Mirage Prime right before i use Prism and it clears rooms with lvl 100 enemies easily and im not running any prime mods either other than duration. Im just getting into steel path. I really just play for fun so its been that for sure.
One of the best places to put breach surge in my experience is Octavia. The damage mallet pumps out can trigger Breach surge sparks, and their damage are amplified by octavias 4th ability as well. Not saying it's the best on Octavia, but it gets really boring really fast to use Nourish, Tharros strike or Pillage on every single frame...
As if Breach Surge wasn't already great, I've found that the blind is an incredibly effective stun on the Scathing/Mocking whispers in the Entrati Labs tileset. I don't think it lasts the full duration, but for at least *several seconds*, the Whisper just sits there letting you attack it, making it much less annoying to deal with.
I would run this on my Titania if she didn't have just 46% range. I use a build with 250% Strength and Duration so even if would be really strong, the range issue is just... pain. Also, i'm looking for great and mostly importantly, fun ability that works well with this build but i can't think straight of anyone, this game just have too much to think for me lol. perhaps do a whole serie of all helminth abilities, personaly i lack a lot og knowledge and im MR28.... I used Surge with a KuvaHek and i LOVED IT, still use it on some frames though but never knew thats why and how to get most of it...but now i Know so thank you very much for the info
Who said it useless never use it seriously. The problem of game now is it need many survival thibg(with me), it better if bonus heal( gloom) and we have too overpower at damage now. So imo, use breach surge on wf has good survival yet but lack of bonus dam/cc: mag, hildryn. I think it totally fit on mag( put on her 3). Combo 2+ breach surge is totally chaos
Actually had someone ask me today why it wasn't working for them. I float around on my wisp and I've seen some yellow 70mil breach surge hits off of my Gunsen Prime(Honestly hilarious that this weapon is whats doing it, cause I know it can go higher), and consistent 400k-2mil damage. So I ask him who he is subsuming it on and how much do they need ability power. After my arcane stack breach surge is hitting for like 7.2x dmg multiplier. He tells me hes running it on a frame with 182% topped off Ability Strength. I nearly died on the spot. Couldn't imagine it. I'm at 354% starting Strength and patiently waiting for more red shards to make number go higher. I just told him to sue it on a frame where he needs a lot of ability strength to do what he needs to naturally and use his hardest hitting weapons. On another note this is one reason I think Wisp is pretty expensive to kit out, cause if you want to take advantage of the breach surge you either need to commit to adhd melee style where youll just hit everything around you 3 times a second and let the sparks fly, or have something that would punch a hole in the side of a Railjack. On top of having a system to keep your energy from being a relevant thing to consider, and going into ability strength and duration as heavily as you can, while also making sure you can get any QOL features that you need at the same time. Did I mention you need to do all that for at least 1 weapon too? And you should probably keep an exodia contagion Zaw in your back pocket for when you need to just face-load the big number with less setup. After you do all that you can just take her pretty much everywhere, for everything, all the time. Basically if something doesnt die in two seconds, hit breach surge. Worth it though.
I just slapped it onto my Protea bcs I was tired of running Eclipse/Roar, and I couldnt be more happy, I also play Laetum a lot and I did fcking 8 mil dmg with breach surge proc
ehh, my problem with using breach surge is that if i'm using a heavy-hitter aoe weapon, enemies are already dead before the sparks can kill anything. so it ends up being a waste of energy. more so with zephyr since enemies are already being sucked up in tornadoes.
Breach Surge works on any frame bro. AOE crowd control and a 100% damage multiplier on base strength in just one ability is already better than the entire kit of some weaker frames.
SO like Revenant enthrall being the best part of his package the best part of breach surge is blinding enemies and effecting eximus, the damage is nice (or not) but the big thing is it blinds eximus.
Imo that‘s mainly low tic rate. It deals damage every 0.5 seconds, takes 5 seconds aimed at an enemy to actually deal full damage, takes 7 seconds to fully strip armor with Archon Shards, and has low damage and low chance for heat procs. It really should have level scaling damage and a damage rate of 0.1 seconds like Qorvex' Crucible Blast.

It works pretty good on frost as well since if you have his augment you could do some pretty crazy stuff with the sparks

Concentrated Arrow + Breach Surge means a meme worthy amount of bouncing damage should they not die by the original aoe. :)

As a wisp fan I like seeing people explain breach surge properly. It's a great part of her kit and a very versatile subsume ability. I use it on a few different frames that otherwise lack in CC or just like having extra damage to spread around
Literally my first thought when you started explaining it would be to slap that on Qorvex on his number two
Breach surge is really fun, the most fun circuit run I had was with high range nourish wisp, I had primer epitaph and got the decree that increases damage for each status affected enemy, I have no idea how exactly it worked, but I could constantly see millions of damage ticking across the map, it was beautiful.
Breach surge is awesome. I use it on quite a few frames. Qorvex is my latest. Pillars proc radiation on a room, cast surge, and hit towers with his big beam. Voila ! A fireworks display 👍

I find Breach surge is just phenomenal on any caster frame. Ember? Yes please. Garuda? Room nuked. Hell, Hildryn? Works if you want it to. And many other such examples
I use it on Saryn - spread spores, breach surge, then miasma = room explodes
Put breach surge on kullervo and combine it with his 3rd ability and it creates a funny feedback loop
If I wanted a damage amplifying ability on a weapon platform frame (that isn't roar or nourish), would it be better to go breach surge or xatas whisper?
I wanted to do something a little different on my Nezha that isn't just divine retribution nuke, so I was thinking of trying a weapon platform build revolved around reaping chakram and giving enemies damage vulnerability along with smth like breach or xatas
My main Wisp build is basically built for Breach Surge spam. 155% 45% 235% 217%
Nourish (replace 4) to keep that energy flowing (RIP Nourish 03/2024) and then just blast Breach Surge in every room before blowing it up.
And on top of that it applies radiation status which bring chaos in enemy ranks. This ability is so insane that you can just spam it and only and get tons of damage, because if i understand right radiated enemies proc sparks with their damage. Especially fun in Circus game mode, where map is small and enemies are constant spamming.
Fun little synergy that shreds.
Zephyr, replace 1 with Breach Surge
2 green gems for armour strip.
Any high damage corrosive weapon.
Use Breach Surge in a room full of enemies, activate your tornadoes and hit them with the corrosive weapon a few times. You can peacefully watch everything die.

I use Breach Surge on my Baruuk Prime build. I subsumed it into the place of Elude. I use Lull to build up his meter while surviving and disarming with Desolate Hands, then when my meter is max I use Breach Surge to multiple the damage of Serene Storm
Nice video, def explained the ability to the point i finally understand what it actually does. I do wish you gone more in depth with other ability synergies such as garuda, or whether the augment is worth it. Also, if you cast it while teleporting to a mote it doubles its range.
I think the biggest reason Breach Surge is popular is because it's actually pretty accessible. Wisp is just a frame whose pieces drop from a boss, that boss being Ropalolyst who's actually not that hard as long as you use any amp better than the Mote, her pieces are relatively easy to build give or take maybe an hour of Corpus Gas Planet survival for hexenon depending on how much time you've spent there, and then once you get it, it's just Better Radial Blind in terms of usability-- which I've found is like, the go-to ability a new Warframe player learns is actually really strong in the game of Warframe, because 'Excalibur is literally a starter frame and he's got this button that makes enemies stop shooting you AND makes them more susceptible to melee damage.' Rhino Roar is debatably even easier to get, but that one still kinda requires you to build your guns well; Mirage Eclipse requires Simaris scans to get her blueprints back if you sold her non-prime and nobody likes doing those; Grendel's missions have keys to worry about and you need Arbitrations unlocked. Meanwhile Wisp just gives a perfectly usable button and the only test is 'are you far enough in the story quests, and do you feel like fighting the jankest boss for like an hour'.
So not only is it relatively easy to get if you're at the part of the game where you're worrying about Helminth, it is extremely intuitive that it's good if you're the sort of player who should be trusted with Helminth. And it's only gotten better with age, since Overguard came out way later and this straight up ignores that.

So does Breach Surge? If you have a shit gun, breach surge is gonna have low damage too. Both breach surge and roar scale off of your weapon damage

To get the most of the augment you kinda need to teleport 25meters.. though sure, something like 15 meters is still kinda good and the energy cost reduction makes it spammable.
I would say it depends on the tileset. If there are open spaces, big rooms or good corridors.. then yeah it might be worth the mod slot.
Breach Surge synergizes with Biting Frost. some of the most fun ive had in this game recently is casting breach surge and then avalanche and breach surge red crit

@@wolfofwarframe3807 yeah I do a combination between strength, range, and duration. I use the Kuva Chakkurr for the high single target and usually am shooting it with a minimum 700-1000% damage buff active

While maybe not the most optimal usage, Breach surge is also really nice on Nuke Volt, since they have the same range so if you cast them one after the other you will have a mess of jumping radiation and lightning bolts.
I tend to only use Breach Surge when there is a group worth using it on. But my setup lets me spam it even with low efficiency and energy. With Roar and my Trumna, it tears enemies apart with cascading explosions and sparks. Feels really good.
Could I recommend 2 topics that you could, maybe, touch on your "But why?" series? Armour, and Shields (especially Shield Gating): how they work, why they work, why they stop working, at what level each works best, what are their limitations, what could be the absolute limit one could push them through, etc.
It's extra silly with a pax seeker secondary tombfinger. Pax seeker shoots out homing projectiles which aim for headshots, which then send out breach surge projectiles.
Putting breach surge on my zephyr tornado build is the best thing I've done. It hits all the enemies in the tornado meatball, and each spark goes straight back into the meatball in a chain reaction. Hitting the tornadoes causes EVERYONE effected to be hit at once and cuts kill time in half if I'm not already destroying them without BS

Breach Surge is so good I put it on Dagath's 4 to get better AoE for steel path. My frost has it on 2, and occasionally hits damage cap in combination with his 4 and the frozen enemy crit augment. My favorite Breach Surge is in combination with Garuda's augmented 4, as the breach sparks cause new and stronger slash procs, which in turn release sparks.
Breech Surge also has a funny interaction with Voruna's Stealth crit damage multiplier, as shes stealthed when you blind everything giving all the sparks a stealth damage multiplier + the ability damage multiplier. so its not uncommong to see anywhere from 5 Mil to 35+ Million damage in steel path on entire rooms for me
It is extremely funny on Qorvex, stacking with his 4th ability's explosions to create so many numbers that Warframe gives up displaying them
Nezha in particular REALLY likes Breach Surge, because the damage multiplier from Surge actually stacks with Blazing Chakram's damage vulnerability. Even pretty weak weapons start to hit like a bulldozer when 5X damage sparks hit enemies with 4X damage vulnerability. It isn't as outright powerful as his new Divine Retribution augment, but it's different and very fun.

i put breach surge on my explosive ledgermain build for mirage. the combo of the mines and the surge sparks go brrr real good... and if for some reason i just need a little bit more, i always have my prism to fall back on.
Breach Surge is so strong that you can forget to mention that blinded enemies take 8x melee damage and it still sounds overpowered
Welp now I'm going to go test Breach Surge Gyre muahahah! I made her into a caster and I've tested a few different Subsumes on her. So far I've tested Gloom (Great for increasing her survivability and crowd control, however slowing enemies by 90% also makes defense-type missions slower so I wasn't too much of a fan of that). Then I tested Nourish (also great, but it didn't really synergize with her other abilities TOO much other than the passive energy Regen; getting a multiplier on Gyre's already existing Regen basically allowed me to spam my 1 like it was a grenade and that was pretty fun). Breach Surge I feel like would be awesome for her though, because the radial lightning would make the Surged enemies constantly spew sparks until death if this works like I think it will!
Replace my Stretch with Archon Stretch in the build to make up for the loss of Nourish, allowing me to still throw my 1 every couple seconds and aid with spam Surges too.
I know the power of breach surge but imo it kinds sucks.
1. It doesn't go thru walls
2. Its not a sphere type of initial spread its horizontal (i jump a lot so it happends a lot that my breach surge activations just completely misses everything).
3. I play on mindset of speedrunning the game. I build my frames to be tanky and do room clearning.
Again i said that i know the power of breach surge just its not abbility for me.
I was shown the light of Breach surge from mwg and now i have it on 48 of my builds
If we are gonna talk about underrated abilities to subsume i feel elemental ward is up there, it has soo much utility and can make alot of characters become health tanks
I use it with Mirage Prime right before i use Prism and it clears rooms with lvl 100 enemies easily and im not running any prime mods either other than duration. Im just getting into steel path. I really just play for fun so its been that for sure.

Breach Surge spark can be trigger by a lot of warframe AOE ability, so you may not need a weapon to work the damage
I use both Roar and Breach on my Wisp, it basically nuke everything in the general area of an enemy so fast it's almost unfair.
One of the best places to put breach surge in my experience is Octavia. The damage mallet pumps out can trigger Breach surge sparks, and their damage are amplified by octavias 4th ability as well. Not saying it's the best on Octavia, but it gets really boring really fast to use Nourish, Tharros strike or Pillage on every single frame...
As if Breach Surge wasn't already great, I've found that the blind is an incredibly effective stun on the Scathing/Mocking whispers in the Entrati Labs tileset.
I don't think it lasts the full duration, but for at least *several seconds*, the Whisper just sits there letting you attack it, making it much less annoying to deal with.

I would run this on my Titania if she didn't have just 46% range. I use a build with 250% Strength and Duration so even if would be really strong, the range issue is just... pain. Also, i'm looking for great and mostly importantly, fun ability that works well with this build but i can't think straight of anyone, this game just have too much to think for me lol. I used Surge with a KuvaHek and i LOVED IT, still use it on some frames though but never knew thats why and how to get most of it...but now i Know so thank you very much for the info

As much as I like the ability in concept the constant need to cast it on every new spawn is a bit much, thus I usually go roar or nourish.
I'm surprised people say Breach Surge is bad when almost every Warframe creator I see say it's overused because it's so good
I use it with hydroid and subsume over his 4th. His 1st can proc hundreds of millions of dmg. I did my first dmg cap with it in duviri.

The problem of game now is it need many survival thibg(with me), it better if bonus heal( gloom) and we have too overpower at damage now.
So imo, use breach surge on wf has good survival yet but lack of bonus dam/cc: mag, hildryn. I think it totally fit on mag( put on her 3). Combo 2+ breach surge is totally chaos
Actually had someone ask me today why it wasn't working for them. I float around on my wisp and I've seen some yellow 70mil breach surge hits off of my Gunsen Prime(Honestly hilarious that this weapon is whats doing it, cause I know it can go higher), and consistent 400k-2mil damage. So I ask him who he is subsuming it on and how much do they need ability power. After my arcane stack breach surge is hitting for like 7.2x dmg multiplier. He tells me hes running it on a frame with 182% topped off Ability Strength. I nearly died on the spot. Couldn't imagine it. I'm at 354% starting Strength and patiently waiting for more red shards to make number go higher. I just told him to sue it on a frame where he needs a lot of ability strength to do what he needs to naturally and use his hardest hitting weapons.
On another note this is one reason I think Wisp is pretty expensive to kit out, cause if you want to take advantage of the breach surge you either need to commit to adhd melee style where youll just hit everything around you 3 times a second and let the sparks fly, or have something that would punch a hole in the side of a Railjack. On top of having a system to keep your energy from being a relevant thing to consider, and going into ability strength and duration as heavily as you can, while also making sure you can get any QOL features that you need at the same time. Did I mention you need to do all that for at least 1 weapon too? And you should probably keep an exodia contagion Zaw in your back pocket for when you need to just face-load the big number with less setup. After you do all that you can just take her pretty much everywhere, for everything, all the time. Basically if something doesnt die in two seconds, hit breach surge.
Worth it though.

I just slapped it onto my Protea bcs I was tired of running Eclipse/Roar, and I couldnt be more happy, I also play Laetum a lot and I did fcking 8 mil dmg with breach surge proc
ehh, my problem with using breach surge is that if i'm using a heavy-hitter aoe weapon, enemies are already dead before the sparks can kill anything. so it ends up being a waste of energy. more so with zephyr since enemies are already being sucked up in tornadoes.

Breach Surge works on any frame bro. AOE crowd control and a 100% damage multiplier on base strength in just one ability is already better than the entire kit of some weaker frames.

SO like Revenant enthrall being the best part of his package the best part of breach surge is blinding enemies and effecting eximus, the damage is nice (or not) but the big thing is it blinds eximus.

Imo that‘s mainly low tic rate.
It deals damage every 0.5 seconds, takes 5 seconds aimed at an enemy to actually deal full damage, takes 7 seconds to fully strip armor with Archon Shards, and has low damage and low chance for heat procs.
It really should have level scaling damage and a damage rate of 0.1 seconds like Qorvex' Crucible Blast.
