    I'd love to see one of these for Iskandar Khayon, the Lord Vigilator of the Black Legion.
    He's right up there with Ahriman as far as power goes, but has been neglected by 40k Loremasters for some reason, apart from that OneMindSyndicate but he puts zero effort in and just reads word for word from the wiki.
    This is some good work dude, I think you could do him justice

    Ahzek used to be a chill guy, but as with many of the champions of the traitor legions, bitterness twisted him into an asshole. His transformation just began a little sooner than most. Nikea was an utter shitshow, and that’s coming from an Iron Hand.

    • @RustyARMPIT12
      @RustyARMPIT12 3 года назад +5

      as a representative of the sons of magnus we thank you for agreeing that Nikea was fucked, we offer condolences for your lost father in return, All is Dust cousin.

    • @elizabethyoung5304
      @elizabethyoung5304 17 дней назад

      Nikea was more than a crap show; it was an utter and cruel betrayal which Ahriman felt most keenly. The novel A Thousand Sons so far has to be one of my favorite Horus Heresy books, probably tied with The First Heretic, which is a brilliant book. A Thousands Sons had me in tears by the end. I love Ahriman so much, and Magnus to an extent. For me, they’re the most tragic of the characters in the Heresy series. I have a list I’ve gathered so far of my favorites of which Magnus and Ahriman are a part. As they say: “The road to Hell is paved with good intentions” their flaws are what makes these two characters fascinating to me. I just started The Crimson King and loving it so far.
      I wish to offer my condolences to you, my Iron Hand cousin, for the sad, tragic death of your primarch Ferrus Manus.

    The story of Magnus is really a tragic one,had the imperium listened to Magnus and studied the warp instead of keeping on the hush maybe the Horus heresy could of been avoided. Funny thing is now the imperium has “ librarians” in each legion. So psykers are cool as long as Magnus isn’t doing it. If I’m Magnus I’m pissed in the 41st millennium.

    • @HowlFromBeyond
      @HowlFromBeyond 3 года назад +14

      The tragedy of Magnus isn't that no one listened to him. He probably knew the emperor best even though he wasn't the first primarch to be reunited with their creator. Both he and the emperor were of the same accord in wanting the human race to become a psychic race. The issue was the emperor knew humanity wasn't yet mature enough to be impervious to the corruption of power. Through the warp a man can take a fast path to power and the denizens of the warp will take advantage of their greed. The tragedy of Magnus through his own admission is that he had the hubris to believe he could master the "ocean" of the warp and realized too late that their were far cleverer entities in the immaterium that could manipulate even him.

    I’m going to lie, but Ahriman’s story really tears me up. I love him so much. Thank you so much, Amber King. I recently found your channel thanks to watching the Astartes Anon video on Magnus on Trial where you guested. It’s become one of my favorites on that channel and my go-to if I need a good laugh.
    The reading recommendations you give at the end of the video I have on my to-be-read list. I’ll probably read those after I experience the Horus Heresy series. There’s so many great stories as well outside the main line HH series.

    I like how you title the chapters of your storytelling.
    It's kind of a reflection of the legion lore... divided into chapters because each has a tale to tell.
    I am a new to the hobby. Bought myself the indominus box and lots of paint and began my journey. I love the story, it tells a very human story of love and loss, tragedy and family ties despite or maybe because of personality flaws... good job AK, you are as good as all your brothers telling WH40k stories... ABP...Luetin... Lord Ro... Arch... and more..🤺

    Does the lore really say his birthplace was Southeast Asia? I always assumed the Archaemenid Empire of 40k would have been centered in or near what is today approximately Iran, like the historical Archaemenids. Plus, Ahriman is a figure from Zoroastrianism, an originally Persian religion. Being an empire I suppose the Terran Archaemenids could have spread to Southeast Asia, but that would be quite a trek, especially since I remember there's already lore about pan-Pacific and Indonesian factions around there.

    • @TheAmberKing
      @TheAmberKing  3 года назад +2

      I think it is because in the time of 30k ish the map of terra looks completely different. All the land masses and oceans are kind of messed up. The exact location is conflicting in different sources but I suspect you hit the nail on the head. I’m actually going to do a remastered on Ahriman and definitely think I am going to mention some of the history you have just said. Thank you!

    • @TheFedaykiin
      @TheFedaykiin 3 года назад +1

      From what I've read the ethnic origins of those born on Terra is something like this:
      Ahzek Ahriman = Iran
      Kharn The Betrayer = Russia
      Shadrak Meduson = Britain
      Nathaniel Garro = Britain
      Fabius Bile = France
      Sigismund = Germany

    All the Emperor has to do is reach out to Magnus and have a heart to heart . I understand now you were never a traitor magnus even now deep down you are the most loyal son a father could ask fo. Back the I was blind and rash I should have listened to you about Horus and so I forgive you magnus for all your transgressions pass and present and I want to apologize for sending the Space wolves after you forcing you into the position you have found yourself in.
    I wish to give the same offer I did 10,000 years ago if you turn away form chaos and come back to the imperium I will publicly restore you and the whole 1000 sons back to glory even non of your sons will be purged.
    If Magnus accepted the best way to redeem himself is to take the Emperors place on the golden thrown freeing the master of Mankind allowing him to regenerate his body being a perpetual.
    For there with two powerful psycher the Vebway project can be continued sitting on the thrown Magnus and his now loyalist 1000 sons legion would keep the daemons at bay leaving the emperor regenerated and more stronger free to stabilizes the webway and rebuild the collapsed structures until the Terran gateway is strong enough to keep the never born out permanently.
