I love that 58 Caddy series 75 limo you show at 3 minutes 51 seconds. Been looking for one like this. Do you know if it's still possibly available? I'm in up state New York Buffalo area so close to Canadian border.
Here in California bay area seems like swap meets when I first started going in the mid 80s there was a lot more good parts and old stuff to be bought at a very great price. I know because I was a young kid starting out In building car car on the cheap as possible. Now in 2022-23 most of those old timers that had all the good stuff and own the junk yards have past on. There children didn't want to do with all the old parts and junk yards they just wanted the monetary $$$ part of it sold off the land was worth more than running a wrecking yard. This one guy that hung out with this older fella that own a small wrecking yard inherited the wrecking yard. The owner just had two daughter's that didn't want anything to do with the old classic cars and the yard just the money. They let the young guy have the wrecking yard because they knew that was there father's passion the love for old classic car's so they let the young fella have the wrecking yard and the old classic car's and these were some really nice classic car's that any wealthy person would love to have in there collection. I seen he had two of them at the RENOS HOT AUGUST NIGHT'S SWAP MEET, to see what people were willing to pay at the time when the economy was doing great. I shook my head like dam. He didn't sell them because he had inherited them from the old Mon that own the wrecking yard. Oh back to what I was writing yeah SWAP meets are not like they used to be back in the early 80s. Just a bunch of after market parts, and remanets left over picked over stuff from year's of the past turn more into a flea market selling car related stuff like advertisement, stuff from the past they might have cleared out some older folks house and everything up for sale. That's how I felt at the last swap meet I was at. Could have been just that one I don't know about other states what there swap meets are like just the one's that are a few hour's from where I live. Maybe I should hop on a plane and get a rental and UPS my stuff home from a out of state swap meet? Or have someone drive it back home for me in a U-HAUL truck? If I buy in bulk?
Well dang that's about the longest comment I have ever got lol. It is true there's less and less swap meet gold left out there every day the way things are going.
@@ABANDONEDCARREVIVALS lol yeah it did turn into a story book, yes the younger generation have to keep it going or it will be a lost art form. I'm glad to see some young guys still building car's from scratch, but more and more those classic car wrecking yards are disappearing. 👍🏽that keep these swap meets alive and the small fellas that collected parts over the year's from the car's truck's they were working on. Then again they might be selling there stuff on line/ over the internet.
Were they filming an episode when you were there?? Also how Mike said "pile of shit" at 1:30😂 (like it gives me "dry sense of humor" vibes kinda) I wonder what the coach builder of this combo is on timestamp 4:01? Also they had a hearse too! I wonder if we will ever get an episode where they restore some "professional cars"?
They weren't filming this time no. I have been on the show a couple times if u look back to my rust bros videos... I did see they just bought 9 cars in terrace...
@@ABANDONEDCARREVIVALS RUclips deleted my original comment, but anyways, I saw you guys brought the hell Camino! What have you guys done with it since you brought it?
believe me i am tired of those too! this is exactly what it says with original content featuring a few of the rust bros stars and the white post auction, no click bait on this channel period...
