This just got my hyped for Jayden even more. Great questions John! Also shoutout to you for linking up with Louie Tee! Y’all two are the best IMO. I’m so grateful for the content from both of you
@@skipranger5887ok and he was surrounded by entirely different staff and ownership.. Anybody can get injured in this sport. Why do y’all keep acting like this is the 2nd coming of RG3
@@skipranger5887 No. RGIII was nothing like this. He was not the guy that came in and worked his ass off. He wasn't the guy that worked on the details. He wasn't the guy that worked on the metal side of the game. RGIII was all about getting things trademarked, and promoting his "brand". They are nothing alike, especially for the mental side. Daniels is completely dialed in. RGIII was thinking about how to make money off the field.
John! Doing GREAT interviews is definitely a superpower for you! Your guests always seem comfortable, while you ask fantastic, thoughtful clear questions, and follow up beautifully and unassumingly to clarify any vague answers. You never talk over the guest, never ask pontificatingly long questions, and scrupulously avoid interrupting -- unlike most of your "phony-passionate" competition. It's really impressive, and you do it with all sorts of guests - coaches, players, staff, media, relatives, even fans, you always seem to get some fresh juice out of your guests, and they always seems happy to share it. Thanks! More interviews please!
This interview was even better than the Herm Edwards one imo. I admit I was skeptical about drafting the "floor" guy over the "ceiling" guy in Maye but footwork and the ability to create TDs while minimizing turnovers will always supersede arm talent and off-schedule plays just like JD's coach said. I remember Haskins' QB coach was his dad up until his sophomore year in college when he switched to Quincy Avery. I also remember Sam Howell's QB coach being on here last year but he wasn't his coach until high school. To hear that JD's been working with his QB coach for about 13-14 years now to master not only the physical part of the game but the mental part too is very refreshing to hear. I haven't heard a story of a QB who prepped like this since Alex Smith and Kirk Cousins.
Great job John! Man you are the best! You ask the questions that you KNOW we want know about!! True professional! I am 60 & I have followed you before there was a RUclips! I have great knowledge of football & if anyone wants REAL info on Washington I tell them to pay attention to John Keim THE BEST! GREAT INTERVIEW!!
Thank god we didn't go Drake Maye or try to load up on oline and keep Sam Howell.. I said it before and I'll say it again, JD5 has the potential to be something special
That was super informative and insightful, not just the typical stock responses. I would love to hear more about how that VR software is actually programmed and used. Like, are they using actual plays from the current playbook or just more generic concepts, etc. anyway, great interview!
Re. patting the ball: I loved Sam Howell's heart, I believe he still has a lot of potential, and I wish him well, but if I had to watch him pat the ball when he should just be throwing it one more time I think I would loose my shit. Someone really needs to coach that out of him.
I actually learned some new things about Jayden I didn’t know, like his father playing in college…. His dad not wanting him to play qb…. All this makes me feel like the things I’m hearing about him aren’t just talk and hype!!!! I think we got a real 1 this time!!!!!
Buckle up is right.. what an interview. Starts slow.. he really opens up towards the end. Great insight. Never knew about the nuance in the dropback. Wish people who stop pestering him about being a star from his own media room.. but what can you do. Kirk herbstreet told everyone exactly what this guy was saying towards the end of the ncaa season last year.. incredible foreshadowing.
John the question, I'd love for someone to answer, "As an introvert, how does Jayden show his leadership?" Introverts can be great leaders too, how does Jayden do this?
I’m going to be honest here and say, at the draft I was on the fence about Jayden and JJ. The more I know the more I understand that Adam Peters and Dan Quinn know their shit!!
Evidently, you don't your shit. It's because unlike AP and DQ, you were and are not qualified in the first place to render any educated assessments on football players.

Jayden Daniels is not like RGMe whatsoever. RG is a spoiled diva while Daniels is a hardworking humble person. Their body structure is similar and the similarities end there... Oh and he can be be reckless while running around but it definitely ends there 😂
Ok. What gets me is people always have to tear down one person in order to build up another. Why is that? Why don't you lead with everything you like about a player/person and leave it like that??
@@ShawnCman I was annoyed with how people were constantly comparing Jayden Daniels to RG3 and I didn't like it due to me not liking Griffin as a person. Many people feel the same and for good reasons. I normally am not so negative towards anyone but RG3 has been super irritating and the vast majority of his past teammates throughout College and the NFL have felt the same way. I hope that helps clear up why I posted what I did.
@@YettiManChannel I get it. I just want the best for JDs. It's hard for a rookie to come in and create their own path and then they have the added pressures from us fans and media with the comparisons of living up to another player. Good interview however ball patting is just an impossible key. Brady and mahomes do it every pass as does 98% of QBs. DBs that says this are typically inflating their own ability
So basically, we got a prodigy ❤️💯
Perfect word for it.

Agreed. Definitely the top 2 for Washington podcasts
2nd this. 🖖❤
It’s definitely hard to keep expectations down when you see this kind of stuff like. This was probably more in depth than anything that has come out.
The hard work & routine is why I’m so confident in Jayden succeeding. Thanks, John
we thought the same thing about RG III til he blew his knee out.

What a great interview, John! One of the most informative and insightful interviews that I've heard in a long time, anywhere! Keep up the good work!
Outstanding insight into JD and interview, thanks John!
This is the single best interview of the off season.
Loved the show with you and Louie keep up the great work Johnny k ❤😂
This one was really insightful
Finally, someone explains his high pick. Everyone else appeared emotional and fake.
This #2 pick just feels different. I listen to you every single time you post. Still gathering my $2…..

Uh wow, inject this straight into my veins. Listening to this every day until the season starts!
Great insight! I'm excited for this young man.
Awesome Interview, as a life long fan it’s great to hear.
So basically, Jayden Daniels utilizes VR software and doesn't seem to give a damn about PlayStation. Now I really love this kid..!
He works his butt off and loves it, and doesn't let the results take over. Regardless of software it's a good formula, no matter the field or era.
That really is nice to know. Glad we got him!
Boss interview John, brilliant. Great work Coach. I think the curse has been broken. ❤️
What a GREAT interview. During OTA's and minicamp, I heard all the hype and was a little skeptical, but now I think I believe.
Barry Sanders credited his shiftiness to flag football. He once said something to the effect of "If they can't get my flag, they will never get me."
Thank god we didn't go Drake Maye or try to load up on oline and keep Sam Howell.. I said it before and I'll say it again, JD5 has the potential to be something special
Give credit to Rivera and Bienemy for stinking up the joint, otherwise we wouldn't have landed the number two pick to draft Jayden.
Yeah, Ron, EB, and JDR were collectively the Oppenheimer of the NFL. 'The Destroyers of Young Talent'.@@denniscasely-hayford3245
Howell is gonna surprise watch
You forgot Alex Smith, Kirk Cousins and not drafting Justin Herbert. Nightmare scenarios and situations. Lol

He would be a great assistant QB coach for the Commanders, he knows JD better than anyone.

I only looked at JJ because I was hoping for a trade back and trade up scenario similar to 1999.
Just keep the injuries away from Jayden & he should be great
Shouldn't WFT have Ryan Porter on staff? Or at least on retainer?

Great Story 🇺🇸🏈👍
This year Washington will make the playoffs this year. No more mediocre football in Washington Commanders Football

Jayden's dad seems to be his most positive influencer unlike RG3's dad who didn't understand football reality. Nice work John. 👍
Totally agreed.

Terry should have a great season as he deserves a quality quarterback
His QB coach makes him sound like Peyton Manning, with some athleticism.
His coach ain't Archie Manning.

So Jayden is a compulsive profectionist that sweats the small stuff. I like it.
