Just a few notes: The focus doesn't "lock on" to anything. It actually has a fixed focus, much like many action cameras. The minimum focus distance is around 3 feet or so. I don't feel the included accessories add much value at all. Certainly not $100 worth. Consider a Sony CX-405 which is cheaper than the Ordro. Yes it's only a 1080P camera, but in my testing I find it to have somewhat similar amounts of detail, better dynamic range, better color and FAR more adjustability and settings to tweak the image into what you want. The Sony has an optical zoom lens that goes wider than the Ordro does with the wide angle lens attached, plus it has 30X optical zoom. The Sony also has auto focus and focuses closer than the Ordro does with its macro accessory lens attached. It also has very good image stabilization. Without any accessories the Sony is a cheaper and more capable camera. The big thing the Sony lacks is the audio input jack, but the Ordro has super strong noise processing going on that adds strange artifacts and can make the sound unnatural, even with an expensive mic attached. For just a bit more than the Sony, the Canon HF R800 has a decent audio input jack that is worlds better than the one on the Ordro. With the lack of zoom, lack of image stabilization and fixed focus, I would say the Ordro is much closer to a cheap action camera than a cheap camcorder. And considering $200-$250 or so is pretty much the cheapest you can find this camera, it's priced well above the quality I think you get. I absolutely recommend against it. Just about anything in the $200-$250 price range from Canon, Sony, Panasonic, DJI, or GoPro will be FAR better. That Ordro camera also has a block of cast iron inside to make it feel heavier than it is, it also isn't true 4K, it is 2880x2160, not even upscaled. I also would guess there is at least a 50% chance the +10 db setting on that microphone is exactly the same as the 0 setting. Also, if that camera advertises any more than 8X digital zoom or so, it's a lie. It also claims to have image stabilization, which you admit it doesn't. There is just so much about those cameras that rub me the wrong way. The companies selling them seem to be REALLY trying to make them seem like more than what they really are, while charging money based on their hyped up claims, rather than what you are actually getting. Just food for thought. You did ask for comments if we thought the camera was any good, lol.
@@mattamann4092 Unfortunately, pretty much all the currently available camcorders with IR in that price range will have most or all of the issues I mentioned, to one degree or another. So, you either have to decide if you are okay with all the issues in order to get a camera with IR, or you have to spend quite a bit more. Panasonic and Sony both make various models with IR, but they basically start at around $700. You could look for something used, though there are risks with that as well.

I don’t know if your still on here but I seen this video and thought you might be able to help with the memory card for the Ordro ac3. I bought 4 of them for stationary cameras. So I figure a SDXC 128GB capacity, U3 UHS speed and a 1 Bus interface. This is where I get caught up? Should I use a C10 class speed? What MB/s speed should I use 100 MB/s, Would that work or should I go higher? What video class speed should I use (V)? V30,60,90? Because I’m not really sure. “And some have seperate read n write speeds. Some dont and just show MB/s speed.” This I just go with the MB/s cuz some show the 2 and for instance San disk doesn’t show the read or write speed. I know how important it is to have the right card. I contacted the company and the reply I got was simply U3.
I actually just bought 4 of the ac-3 for only stationary cams. By chance do you know what SD card I should get. Cause all it says is U3. So I figure SDXC 128GB( says it will support 256GB but idk about that? I’d probably stick to the 128 but idk what do you think. Then go U3, V30 speed class, A1 bus interface, would you use 100 MB/S or higher like 200 MB/S, C10 additional speed, and some cards have read n write speed on them. What would you recommend for the read and write speed? speed.

This will be a bit of a odd one but ill shoot my shot. See I'm trying to branch out my content and am just starting out so my budget is a bit tight. I found this Camera and I watched the video and I didn't think it looked to bad but I did want to delve just a hint farther. 1. I'm looking to record in a bowling ally where for the most part it would be on a tripod so stabilization really wouldn't be a factor. Also with a similar try pod set up I would like to stream with the same camera in different areas of the house or even the bowling ally would this work for that as well? Or if you would recommend a different camera at this price point for my needs what would it be?
