I've been watching lots of tutorials using men's shirts as i want to make one or two items using a couple of my late husband's shirts. I keep buying others at garage sale to practice with and haven't touched my husband's shirts yet. At least i picked out two that go together, to work with. And this video gave me the idea to add a little other fabric that goes with those two basic pieces. Thanks! I was one who suggested ironing. I did not mean it as a negative comment. I have a hard time cutting a clean straight line and ironing helps me do that.
Thank you for sharing your joy. I don't typically comment but I want you to know that I have so enjoyed watching you create. You have inspired me to try, cut, create... and, most importantly, inspired me to find my joy! ❤
Hi. I also love putting together fabrics, etc. I really appreciate your time and efforts. I think everyone has an opinion. We can please everyone. Just do what you like and feel. We all have faults/problems. No one likes change but a wet baby. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for what you do.
Cute! I slice the men’s shirts on each side seam, add a triangle of fabric, and then patched gathered tiers. I do the same to middle back, cut, and add a triangle of fabric. I sew patches randomly, add crochet trim on collar. I off the sleeves, and add a narrow ruffle for a sleeve. I will make a video soon
Personally, I love the “imperfectately Perfect “ for you as it gives those of us that are NOT professionally trained sewists the courage to try. I love your channel, keep sharing your joy please
Straight and to the point! Stay bold and stand firm in what you believe, it's your right. Don't let anyone sway you, bullies are everywhere...lol. Love your channel and your spunk!
Never let anyone steal your joy in your creative endeavors or life! Delete away - those people who make those comments are just trying to transfer their own anxieties on to you. Don’t let them be successful. 😘
I can not imagine ever going on someone's channel and telling them what they should or shouldn't do. Most of us were raised that if you don't have anything nice to say, you don't say anything at all. Maybe the negative commenters should start their own channels since they're so brilliant. 😉
Complainers & jealous people always seem to surface when we get more successful. I was told once if you are not seeing them you are not yet successful. This was in my former Sales Career. I didn't really like that explanation at the time, but it is a cold hard truth because it's human nature all too often. In other words, just keep doing you & create. It's your channel you are in control. Do what you need to do to keep it the way you want it to be. Complainers don't deserve an explanation & it takes away from your creative mojo. In other words just keep doing you & create, it's not necessary to spend a lot of time explaining yourself. Play offense, not defense. Every artist creates differently. I watch because you do think & process differently than I do. Thank goodness or this world would be boring if we were all alike. Ty for posting.😊

I love that! I've been looking for alternative ways to remake men's shirts! I don't like too much patchwork so this idea is great! Aso an easy way to size up! For Mei prefer 3/4 sleeves so I'd just cut off but maybe add back 2 different fabric cuffs! First video I've watched! Will look at more!
I must confess… I come here for inspiration from your dusters and patchwork shirts… because I can’t seem to pass up men’s shirts when I’m out thrifting!… I think I have a problem 🤣🤣🤣
I appreciate the ideas for making other types of garments! I have gotten so many good overall ideas from you in the past few weeks! For example: leaving the edges raw, cutting off the top layer of pockets and overdyeing. Your ideas are giving me the confidence to do my own upcycling when the time is right. Thanks! A question I have is about using Rit dye. Personally, I have not found that it is colorfast on cotton and so I tend not to use it. I know there are effective dyes for cotton out there (at Dharma Trading Company, for example), although I have not used them. This may be something you’ll want to research. (Me too, of course, if I start creating this kind of thing. Although I am also interested in botanical dyeing.)
This is SUPER cute! I love this, i want to maybe think about making this one too! Was the shirt oversized to start with or fit to your size originally? Also would love to see what you could/ would do with a non zipping hoodie, i have one ive always wanted to cut down the middle front and make an open jacket out of it, something cute and not too hard... Love your content by the way. 😊
