    This is legitimately awesome. I swear I've seen almost every Tiger interview on the internet, and I've never seen anyone ask him a lot of these questions. Really cool and really well done

    Great interviewing style from Soly. Gets Tiger onboard nice and early with the Phil 'gamesmanship' chat. Quick fire approach really appeals to Tiger for some reason. Some awesome questions towards the end. Tiger seems delighted to have been asked some creative questions for once. Great work from the #NLU team

    Ive listened to you guys since the beginning and to go back and listen to the old pods where the audio is horrible. Now y'all are interviewing The Big Cat and Phil!!! Inspirational stuff guys! Keep killing it and being the breathe of fresh air that our sport needs!

    Interviewer: What part of your game do you think is under-appreciated? I’ve always been curious to know.
    Tiger: Comics

      Over the past 20+ years everything about his game has gone thru appreciation. Hitting as far and longer than Daly. Short game wizard like Phil, mental game, artistry, engineering shots, epic clutch putts. Hearing something personal was a good answer.

    9:10 what people underestimate the most about Tiger (imho) is his intellect. He gets tons and tons of credit for his physical prowess and all the incredible things he has done on the golf course, but rarely do we ever hear of commentators talk of how intelligent he is. He did go to Stanford after-all. Last i checked, Stanford University don't accept dummies, lol.

    • @j.w.matney8390
      @j.w.matney8390 5 лет назад +2

      Danny Rand He could have gone Stanford even if he didn't play golf. He had the grades because his Mom insisted on it.

      He might be one of the SMARTEST golfers there is. The way he thinks not only about golf is awesome.

    • @TheMikeMase
      @TheMikeMase 5 лет назад

      in terms of golf iq he is second to none. watch the youtube video where he describes how to play amen corner at augusta. he knows exactly what shot you need to hit at every hole at every pin placement, and every possible thing that could go wrong. that's why he's the GOAT

    • @jonathanbradley4896
      @jonathanbradley4896 4 года назад

      @@austentx9102 it wouldn't be about owing the public anything..... It would be because he loves the game and could provide great insight on current players and events.
      Personally I think Phil Mickelson would be a way better guy to host a podcast, as he is much more charismatic. Tiger has always come off as a little awkward to me.

    I'm so grateful ive had the privilege of watching 🐅 the best golfer ever now or then. It brought so much happiness to me when I was 12 in 1996 to find an idle and someone who represented hope almost in a not human way which is very rare. Now I get to share that same experience with my six-year-old son 😂 I hope he realizes how lucky we all are to be alive right now to have been able to watch this mythical figure Tiger Woods! 🐅🇺🇸

    This was awesome, but what was with the audio?

    • @willywedges4434
      @willywedges4434 3 года назад

      Either the mic was out of phase or a quick edit not removing or muting the person not speaking so you're hearing a brief delay that sounds like a short reverb. OR both mic feeds were botched and they're relying on a third / backup mic...

    Great interview, Soly. And I really love and appreciate Tigers candid answers. Except he pooped the bed on the fashion question. So many good examples he could use to look back and have a good laugh. Like the Shark hat from the US Am. Or some of his fuzzy brown sweater vests. Come on, friend. No fashion regrets? I do like his comment that Freddy made everything look cool.

    The media has always tried to drum up a rivalry between Tiger and Phil on the tour. The reality is there never was one because Phil just wasn't in Tiger's league when it came to winning tournaments.

    • @dannyrand1733
      @dannyrand1733 5 лет назад +2

      That wasn't a "jab" at Phil. He wasn't smiling when he said it. He was only telling the truth bro. Tiger WAS #1 at the time and Phil and David Duval were #2 and #3 respectively.

    • @3rdgroove
      @3rdgroove 5 лет назад +1

      @@dannyrand1733 Obviously you didn't catch it ;-)
      Phil finished as #2 for 4 years and as #3 for 3 years.
      I'm sure Tiger could've said "Phil was #2 for so many years..." ;-)
