- The Springfield Armory Hellcat is the first real challenger to the Sig P365, as it's a micro compact pistol with double-stack capacity.

The Springfield Armory Hellcat boasts an impressive 13+1 or 11+1 capacity of 9x19mm, depending on which magazine you want to use. The Hellcat is a polymer-framed striker-fired handgun, although it is vastly different from Springfield's XD line of handguns.
The Hellcat has forward and rearward cocking serrations, and can be ordered with or without a red dot optic mounting plate. The standard sights are a combat set with a black U-notch rear sight and a bright yellow front sight with a tritium insert for use as a night sight. The sights are very visible.
The Hellcat is definitely made for concealed carry purposes, as it's smaller than even some subcompact single-stack pistols despite carrying twice the capacity with the extended magazine.
However, the Hellcat punches well above its weight would suggest in terms of accuracy. Getting fast, accurate hits is not as difficult with the Hellcat as it is with some other micro 9mm pistols. The trigger is a little crisper than with other Springfield pistols of this type, and the double-stack grip actually fills the hand a little better.
We ran a few hundred rounds through the Hellcat. We found that it fed anything we gave it without issues.
It's lively in the hand, so be prepared to hang on for the ride. However, we also found that it rewards you with fast sight acquisition and superb accuracy for a pistol of its size. It's an outstanding handgun.
Is it as good as a P365? You'll have to wait to find out…

Look into a STM lens for your camera guys, it won't make that ticking noise every time you try to pull focus. Great video though, looking to pick up a Hellcat myself.

This is a great gun and many people recommend it. Good on you for doing your research! That is the first step to responsible gun ownership. I love my ShapeShift holster I recently bought for my Shield Plus. I'd like to get one for my Hellcat but your OSP ShapeShifter doesn't appear to be cut for an optic. Although my Hellcat doesn't presently have an optic, I may try one in the future so no cut out is kind of a deal breaker for me.
Hey there! If you select the Springfield Hellcat OSP shell in ShapeShift, it will have a hood to protect your optic attached.

Aliengear, please make a holster claw for your appendix holsters. I have an aliengear shapeshift 4.0 and the appendix carry option. I try to avoid carrying behind the back, but your appendix carry holster prints too much.

I have rented and shot the Hellcat, its a very nice small pistol. Nate needs to find an indoor Range or wear gloves!
Indoor ranges can be too loud for the audio, but we appreciate the input.
@@Aliengearholsters You are right about loud if you have a bunch of people shooting AR-15s around you. However I like the climate control better and no insects buzzing me. Sportsman's Warehouse just put a new range in "Legacy Shooting Center", it is real close but I have not gone to shoot and try it out yet.

Oh come on me and my buds went shooting under 20 degree weather in frozen rain with slushy snow at a outdoor range which made the inside of our shoes wet and never had we bitch about it all. Case in point: as long as we shoot im happy!

No way I'd buy another Springfield. I already got rid of my Hellcat. The trigger safety was dangerous. It would not disengage properly. Even with good finger position. Springfield ignored the problem.
