It would be awesome if it had some features you have in other Google products, such as inserting tables o or just writing in a way that it is possible to use bold letters, underline, change color and so on.
Now that Google Translator is live and kicking this is the perfect time to push Jamboard into learning and office environments 🙏 I hope I get theq job I applied to at Google!!

Hi Google, if any of your engineers read this, please, many of us (teachers) use Jamboard to remote teaching to kids, 6 yo 7 years-old-kids. Please, give us more fonts to use, like google docs, or at least a font with another a, the one that's made from a ball and a line. Thank you.

i'm just exploring all the random google apps and found Jamboard. I was a little excited because i thought it was gonna be a music making thing by the sound of the name. Oh well, its gonna die in october anyway.

My local children physics club had one of these boards somehow (in a small town in Siberia!) and this is how I discovered the app. Loved using it for collab planning/scribbling since like 2019, I think it's the first time I'm actually sad to see Google killing their niche products :(

I would think they would call it Chromeboard instead of Jamboard. They have Chromecast, Chromebook's, Chromebase and others so why not call this Chromeboard? That would make much more sense in my opinion.
That's sounds like what engineers would try to name things, would makes sense but sounds aweful

Because it has nothing to do with the Google Chrome browser, while the products you did line up has something to do with it. Chromecast was able to "cast" content from Google Chrome (no other browsers), Chromebook and Chromebase were both running Chrome OS (which is basically the Google Chrome web browser packaged as an OS). But this Jamboard has no exclusivity on Google Chrome - it works on just about any modern web browser (I assume).
@@lindhe Chromebook runs a modified version of Gentoo Linux and Chromebooks can run Linux apps.

find a that big touch panel or touch screen, or even a kinect
+ raspberry pi 3 (or a mini windows pc why not? it's a must for kinect)

there are touch frames or panels that you can add to your own existing screen. I did once.
I didn't said it is cheap :) I just said no yearly fee :P
plus: you're just drawing stuff on a screen, 4K a bit excessive.

I was using Microsoft whiteboard and it is waaaay better than jamboard, but jamboard is so easy to share with people which is impossible to get right with Microsoft whiteboard. I turned to jamboard

Moe J. Oh to know, just Google gcp growth rate, they were the 2nd fastest growing cloud platform in 2016, so those crazy guys who trusts Google with their info made them achieve this
Schools mostly as who cares about their data, 60% of students are on chromebooks already, total google classroom make sense and they already have all data for young people anyway...

Microsoft Surface Hub is much better
Hub is 4 grand more but comes with more features for an extra cost, Google is paywall free for their products.
Just watch the surface hub 2 and this thing looks so ugly compared to Microsoft design.

It'd be good if it didn't use Google's crappy online services. Only thing I've seen Google do right is make a search engine. This looks cool, but would instantly become a million times better if anyone else had made it. Microsoft, Apple, some small tech startup, doesn't matter as long as it isn't Google.

Not really, Surface Hub is much better than this. Jamboard seems to be more featureless than a Chromebook. Also, Surface Hub is pretty much an enlarged Surface Pro.
Johnathan Dalipsingh Microsoft is better in this case. Google docs, drive, spreadsheets, slides, etc are the worst. The lowest of the lows when it comes to office software. I'd buy one of these made by Microsoft over one made by Google any day.
