- 🔍 In this video, we unravel the layers of AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and their applications in tools like #ChatGPT and Google #Bard
We first go through how AI is a broad field of study that encompasses #MachineLearning as a sub-field.
We then break down Machine Learning into supervised and unsupervised models, using real-world examples to illustrate their functions and differences.
We move deeper into Deep Learning: Learn about artificial neural networks and the power of semi-supervised learning in applications like fraud detection in banking.
Then we delve into Generative AI, differentiating it from discriminative models and demonstrating its capabilities in creating new, innovative outputs.
Finally we walk through Large Language Models (LLMs) and uncover the significance of LLMs in AI, their pre-training processes, and their customization for specific industry applications

Nothing is hard, you just haven’t learned it yet😊
Agreed!
Absolutely Right 💯
So true.
You give me a hope,thanks
Excellent perspective. Thanks for sharing!
You never fail to surprise me. There are so many videos from other youtubers with similar titltes, and they are always the same with same old content already known. But everytime I watch your video, expecting similar old content, I always learn something new. Awesome work.
That's what I LOVE to hear 😁
Hey Jeff,
Your RUclips video summarizing the entire Google course in just 10 minutes was an absolute gem! It's incredible how you condensed all that valuable information into such a concise format.
As someone currently taking the same Google course, stumbling upon your video was a delightful surprise. It not only helped recap what I've learned so far but also highlighted key points I may have missed. Your engaging and easy-to-follow presentation style made it even more enjoyable to watch.
I wanted to express my gratitude for the effort you put into creating this video. It truly showcases your dedication to helping others understand complex concepts in a simple way. Your content is always top-notch, and this video was no exception.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us. Your videos are invaluable resources for learners like myself who are constantly seeking ways to enhance their skills. Looking forward to more of your content!
PS: I used the PCETFT framework from one of your other videos to structure this comment, and it has immensely improved my communication skills. English isn't my native language, so I relied on chatGPT to convey my gratitude accurately. Nonetheless, I hope this comment adequately expresses how grateful I am for your amazing content!
Keep up the fantastic work!
Love this comment my friend 😁
man, this was great, thanks for sharing & the video is definitely good.
@@MikeMentzerHITBearer No problem!
Impressed - your delivery is simple, easy to follow, and really cuts thru. Appreciate your work
Thank you my friend 😁
This feels like a minefield for me (a not-so-techy person!), so I appreciate the way you're able to simplify what you've learned and yet keep it engaging. Thanks!
You're welcome 😁
the one in learnprompting, maybe is good to have a good big picture of the topic, but i really want to start to extract value from this tools as soon as possible and i dont know if this will have that much benefit. I dont come from a technical background, so maybe I should do the course, or maybe with your video can be enough... Theres a lot of things i want to learn i have to prioritize.
My main objective is to be able to use AI tools to improve my productivity in my every day life.
Then start with prompting techniques then go from there!@@CeibeProyecto
I tried RIZE to see my time distribution on my computer. Spending time on YT is labeled entertainment even though Jeff Su channel is a productivity channel. It makes it look like I'm spending time on frivolous things. Love your channel!
LOLLLL thanks for that!!
One of the best breakdown of the AI subject I've seen. I like how interactive and concise your presentation was. Welldone💪
Thank you my friend 😁
Badges? Badges?! We don't need no stinkin' AI badges!
Pretty cool layout and boiling it down to clear and concise information for someone who needs to be introduced to the concept. Well done!
Hahahaha I got that reference Matthew!
And thank you 😁
I like the introduction to terms - just to begin to see and hear the basics. We can learn anything and have to start somewhere. Thank you!
No problem 😁
I never thought that the explanation is much clearer than this. Thanks Jeff!👍
You're welcome 😁
Great dynamic, demonstrative and crisp explanation of AI as a functional whole, Jeff!! Keep it up 👍
Will do 😁
the script was amazing. your choice of words to explain was crisp and succinct. love that!
Woohooo thank you!!
This is the best breakdown I've came across so far. Lots of thanks
Glad to hear it my friend 😁
Thanks. Your 10 minute explanation is good enough for me. Short and to the point.
Wow thank YOU David 😁
Best quick overview I've seen so far. As a "traditional" developer, in .NET and SQL Server, I am looking forward to learning AI as a career move. With my ability to pick up new concepts quickly, I hope to learn enough AI development to be productive. Looking forwarded to courses.
Thank you 😁
great job as always Jeff! 👌 You're an outstanding story teller, this really lit the path to understanding. 🔦 Thank you.
That's what I love to hear!! 😁
I just found your channel today. I find your content useful and this video has directed me to the Google course and I am looking forward to it. I appreciate your summary of the course as it informed me on whether or not I should take the course. I will also continue watching your videos. There are a ton of "hacks" making AI videos and it is refreshing to come across your channel. I have recently re-visited my Google cloud membership and have begun the process of starting at the beginning to deploy my own model using open source models.
Well done. Keep up the good work. It helps.
New sub.
Woohooo thank you so much 😁
This is a really great video! I'm going to recommend it to my colleagues - of course, they probably already follow you because I've sent your videos to them before.
Hahahaha well never hurts to send them another one Maggie 😁
I've only encountered 2 people in AI, ML and CNN's who truly teach the visual and concise way I learn~ Laurence Moroney and now, Jeff Su.
Well done✨
Yay thanks 😁, I gotta check out Laurence Moroney
This was excellent. Love your content. Every time I catch one of these I am better for it! Keep it up!
Woohooo thank you my friend 😁
I just love how you simplify everything. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do 😁
Fantastic summation. Love the pacing, examples, & visuals. 🎉
Thank you 😁
Thanks. Great video. Admire how well you break down and exemplify the different aspects of AI,ML,DL, GenAI and LLMs.

The best Explanation of Artificial Intelligence and it subsets I have come across. Thank you for sharing
You're extremely welcome!
This video is really great at simplifying this topic for stakeholders of businesses
You should send the video to them 😉
Short, sweet, and jam packed with info! Thanks for the video Jeff
And if you don't upload next week, I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving and I want to let you know that I'm very thankful for your channel :3
Awwww thank you so much Andrea, you too!!
I was looking for a great description of the Ai hierarchy and you provided it - thank you. I'm always amazed when smart people fail to communicate. It is costly in time and money. You have the communication skills that are so critical.
Thank you my friend 😁
Awesome presentation to get to know the unknown in simple language. Thank you .🙏

This was AMAZING and straight to the point!
Thank you!
Love the visuals! They make the information so accessible. What software do you use?

Hi Jeff, love your vid’s and you’re perhaps the most productive person that I’ve seen. (FT job, YT while also replying to almost every of our comments.) I am wondering if you have someone you look up to or any books that had a great influence on you?
Ali Abdaal is my role model and I recommend everyone read Atomic Habits and Make Time
Jeff, thanks for the video and for sharing knowledge with us. Could you make a video about how to properly apply in a day-use the Google entire ecossistem? Platform, Bard, Cloud.....
That video is in the pipeline!
@@JeffSu waiting for it. Thanks!
Great video, nicely put together and understandable.
Thank you!!
Wow such an amazing video, love your content and just subscribed!

I don't know jeff but anxiety is taking over me so many things to do and currently in my sophomore year and getting rejections left and right 😭😭
From companies?
@@JeffSu yeah and just recently it was from Harvard tech fellowship 😭 just wanted to ask you do they use ATS in application selection as well there all I had to write were essays.
I know that we are all waiting for Jeff's GPTs
So am I Andrea, so am I... 😏
for those who did the course before will agree that this video is gem!
Woohooo that's what I love to hear 😁
Thanks Jeff, once again another new tech explained in really simplifying way, loved the pro-tips in between. Time to make notes - love to see a playlist/series on this.
Woohoo glad to hear it! I plan to make a few more videos in 2024 😁
very well explained Jeff, I did have to change the Play speed from Normal to a slower speed, but it is because it has been long since I was in a course hahaha Thank you for the very informative video, great job on this, subscribed.
Hahaha trust me, me too 😂
It’s so great to see and hear your insights and knowledge.

You are just too good ! Thanks for the great content. Much love
It's my pleasure!
Loved it, very straight forward and simple explanation. What software do you use to generate these slides?
Glad to hear it! You can find everything I use here: www.jeffsu.org/gear/
Wow, when you explain it that way it's less like "will robots take over the world" and more like "how can we use this to assist us to do things better". From what you summarized, it seems that the next step in AI is moving more towards LLMs.
But I mean LLMs are already here....
Amazing video as always Jeff!:) I would like to ask you what are the best sources to learn AI in your opinion?
Check out my beginner to pro with ChatGPT video 😁
Wow that was a perfect explanation of gen AI and overall content.
Glad to hear it my friend 😁
Such a well-done video! Thank you, Jeff!
You're welcome 😁
now I have a good overview.. thank you Jeff.. I'm a full stack python and react developer and tester. I'd love to learn to develop LLM powered apps. could you please recommend any other courses on how to use the generic llm and train it with industry specific usecase? or any best courses for learning ML/DL/GenAI?
I wish I could but I have 0 technical background. I'd recommend starting with Google's courses then checking out ones from Harvard and MIT
Hi Jeff,
This is interesting for me, thank you for your video!! 😃
You're very welcome!
@JeffSu Per your request - did not know that Bard and Chat GPT were both Generative AI and LLMs, no. I even took Coursera's course (after honestly being inspired by you to take one) and still did not know that. They always referred to ChatGPT as an LLM.
Well I'm glad I was able to teach you something new my friend!!
can I ask what tool did you use to have that wonderful explanation video ?
You can find everything I use here www.jeffsu.org/gear/
Thanks , you have explained in such an intuitive way
No problem 😁
Really a good explanation Jeff, thanks!
You're welcome 😁
You are great Jeff. Certainly I learned something new about the AI in general and various modelling approaches. would you be receptive to help us on how we can improve the document classification project for us. We are in the health care industry
What do you mean?
Hi Jeff, good vedio and well done in sumarizing the course. I have a question though, do you think LLM should be seperate from Gen AI? I think Gen AI encapsulates or utlizes LLM so not all Gen AI is LLM but all LLM in a way is Gen AI? Does something like below look correct?
Generative AI An approach to ML that focuses on creating new data
Large language models (LLMs) A type of Generative AI that can produce text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and answer your questions in an informative way
Looks about right!
Awesome video Jeff!🙌🏻
Thanks 😁😁
Great Work. short and precise.
Thanks! 😁
So helpful, as always!

I was about to start a course on prompt engineering that you recommend in other video, its necessary to take this one to? And if I do, what are the benefits in oposition to just do better prompts?
Which course are you thinking of taking?
Great video, now with some basics covered and certain acronyms defined and explained, I feel better at understanding the reason for AI and how data is use from our daily inputs to generate game plans for AI in order to assist us in fields with tons of data. It’s both exhilarating and terrifying all at once lol but at least it’s better to be informed.
Nice! 😁
Love it, thank you Jeff!!

Great work! Which software do you use for making graphs and animation?

@@JeffSu Your teaching skills are fantastic, you should start a machine learning course here on youtube🔥😊
5:53 I would like an example of each a number, classification and/or probability looks like. What i mean is generative AI can often include examples of each with a text or image output, so what exactly do you mean here? Generative AI can produce text, image and video, yet all numbers, probabilities and classifications would also be conveyed through text, image or video. Is what you mean something like how generative images often contain garbled text in the image?
Aside from not understanding what you mean at 5:53 you do a great job of simplifying an otherwise complex subject for the masses. Thanks
But not all models can generate content in different formats though. Multimodal Generative models can generate text image and video 😁
I love your content! Thank you so much!
No problem my friend 😁
Very impressive presentation of ai within 10 minutes
Thank you my friend!!

If you ever build a computer game, you understand the concept of A.I. and how it works. The history of the first chess playing computer is great to know. Add in video games today and you can make a computer do just about anything.
I hate the word A.I. as it is just a program. But we are stuck with the term now.
