@Blu P He's slow on purpose. Notice how he sort of does this little weird move before each hairpin turn and then the board goes really slow? It's a controlled ride.
This is one of Norway's most famous roads and it's basically a tourist attraction, so it is well maintained, and probably not terribly representative of Norway's roads as a whole. But also I find that roads at colder climates tend to be better maintained and built with better materials, because they have to be.
I live in lancs (Very hilly, edge of the Pennines) I'm 50 and been down a few hills on a board. Its not just the potholes, the Tarmac is really rough so the vibrations you get in your feet and ankles make it damn near impossible to go down more than half a mile
Coming from a foreigner who lives In Australia, thjs scenery brings a tear to my eye. Not that Im saying my country doesn’t have awesome scenery’s but Norway and Iceland is just on another level.
That is awesome, especially the bit with only a few sharp rocks stopping you going over the edge. And seriously, what a stunning country, its almost as beautiful as Scotland!
Jbratset hey bro, how do you get used to the speed and the fear of speed wobbles? I know that it’s not “if”, it’s “when” - regarding hitting the ground at high speed, and even though it’s scary, you don’t get too seriously injured....I mean, usually. But those gaddmn wobbles homie, those just put the fear of God in a man, ya know?
I'm not a skater so forgive my question. But how does one slow down or stop in this situation if incase of an emergency or sharp corner ? I imagine jumping off would result in breaking every bone in your body.
+w/e To slow down you just slide. To come to a complete stop in emergencies you do what's known as shut down slide. Either a toeside predrift like at 6:00 (but holding the slide till stop) or a coleman slide which is heel oriented instead of toe. Stand up slides aren't used for emergency stops 99% of the time
I carry old slide pucks in my back pockets sometimes so in an emergency i can whip into a slide while landing backwards on my buttocks and hands. Saved me from the wobs and cars several times. However nobody is ever always ready for what can happen and ive woken up in the ditch a few times with no recollection of how i fell and significantly less skin/hair if im not padded up properly.
Dude I suscribed your channel two years ago for the videos you made with the takeover and stuff, i got to say I really love this one too. Tons of style
The guys surely know few thing about good downhill. But man, WHAT A PAVEMENT! Longing in Europe should be a great fun I guess.)) Also the scenery at 4:35!
This is awesome and crazy at the same time..being a mom, I'm sure this scares the shit out of your parents..you guys are crazy talented..how long did it take you guys to get to this skill level?
That is some of the most breathtaking scenery I have ever seen.
scratchspider then you've seen nothing
I live there ;)
norway man you should visit it with no doubt
Zohaib Asif Project much?
Jay Hache nah, he's kind of right, this isn't that amazing by Norway standards.
I honestly didn’t know you could have an adrenaline rush from just WATCHING a video.
And those stance switches are a work of art.
Now that's a RAW RUN. No music no edit, just skateboarding. Awesome.
I guess the other kid reached the required 88 mph (141.6 km/h) and activated his Flux Capacitor.
proof?
stinkbandit hahahaha, good one!
really fast
Than we got stuck watching the slow guy😑
@Blu P He's slow on purpose. Notice how he sort of does this little weird move before each hairpin turn and then the board goes really slow? It's a controlled ride.
Husker tiden i Odda, mellom 2013-2015. Jeg vart kameramann för min ven Daniel Kleppe ett par gånger. Ni boardare er ju helt galna!!! Love it!
That was one of the best raw runs ive ever seen!
+Micheal Apgood thanks buddy
I'd add most frightening one, I pooped my pants way too many times because of these board wobblings
I would never ever trust my life to those four tiny wheels...
some people trust their life with 4 big wheels and still lose it.
MoviePosterDude omg true😭
I do how bout dat
its amazing that those bearings hold up after these long runs at speed
@@wildgrem That is a great point.
I just noticed how there’s zero pot-holes in the roads and they’re like so much better than English ones
This is one of Norway's most famous roads and it's basically a tourist attraction, so it is well maintained, and probably not terribly representative of Norway's roads as a whole. But also I find that roads at colder climates tend to be better maintained and built with better materials, because they have to be.
thorjelly lol, try Canada. Some places are good, it most aren’t, even in the coldest places
r o s i e innit in England he'd make it about a metre before being thrown off
Jamie Clark yeeees exactly lol 😂 one pot hole would wreck that mans whole

I just have two questions, is that the Walter Mitty place?
And where did the other guy go? To another dimension?
+EpicMars hahahah fuckin twit
EpicMars he went straight to afterlife
EpicMars yoo!! i thought it looked like that too haha!! and i also wondered the exact same thing, he just fucked off
He reached 88 mph
The walter mitty scene is in Iceland, this is Norway.
The other guy likes to ride more strictly downhill, and yeah, he's hella fast!
4:23 very smooth reverse .....congrats

really great camera perspective. the first part of the run is stunning and fast.
Best run I've ever seen for both technical skill and scenery.
Coming from a foreigner who lives In Australia, thjs scenery brings a tear to my eye. Not that Im saying my country doesn’t have awesome scenery’s but Norway and Iceland is just on another level.

I'm not a skater so forgive my question. But how does one slow down or stop in this situation if incase of an emergency or sharp corner ? I imagine jumping off would result in breaking every bone in your body.
They do it at around 3:00 , you slide, shoot your back foot out to one side with the board
+w/e To slow down you just slide. To come to a complete stop in emergencies you do what's known as shut down slide. Either a toeside predrift like at 6:00 (but holding the slide till stop) or a coleman slide which is heel oriented instead of toe.

Great video and scenery. I'm so glad you guys didn't added music, makes me feel like I was out there bombing the hill with you guys
I don't know which is more astounding, the skateboarders or the scenery.
I consider it an amazing feat just to be able to watch him without falling off my chair. I'm proud.
_It's always satisfying to watch them._
Driving this road is tough enough....this is insane 🤟 The scenery here is absolutely stunning and I’ve been lucky to see it in real life.
The waterfalls take this video to another level, and that shot at 6:44 is extremely epic!!!

This video + 'Boards of Canada - Dayvan Cowboy' = Bliss
Wow! Wow! That is such a beautiful scenery. Fantastic video.you are super Man.
awesome mountains, road, ride, everything !
unbelievable! you got to have some balls to do that - Awesome video!
I don't even get how you get good at doing this. Imagine practicing and messing up one time....🤔
You don't start out like this, you start out on the flat or on less steep / shorter hills
The guys that do this are essentially elite athletes, they're not gonna fuck up, and if they do then they know how to save themselves
can we all appreciate how well paved this road
Dude I suscribed your channel two years ago for the videos you made with the takeover and stuff, i got to say I really love this one too. Tons of style
Muito lindo esse lugar que DEUS fez, vocês são sortudos por ter essa paisagem parabéns pela descida. (Brazil)

+Benjamin Pletta
He rolled home...

He went into speed force
He has reached the finish line first.
Great Vid. Very impressed with your riding style. Have to get there someday.
What a spectacular view. Good find!
When you have no chill, and slide next to the edge of a 1000 foot drop. when there's no reason to slow down.
I wonder what speed he is going at around 8:00...and how in the hell they brake if anything comes in their way??
This is the sickest run! also such clean skating....
That's super-human balance. I'm in awe.
Doing this run in July, can't wait... thanks for the sneak peak...
Good luck fam
Man, i've never been into a video this much

Amazing !!! This is true life! :D
That looks like so much fun!! I wish I had roads like that!
Beautiful location!
Anybody noticed the pink Elefant on the side of the road at 8:47 ?
The troll's path.
Simply brilliant, gliding on air
I'm beginning to think that the holy grail of long-boarding is being able to stick to one side of the road.
This shit is crazy. I got crazy speed wobbles just by looking at them...
Que lugar mais lindo!!! Onde será???
I'm now looking at those streams - really beautiful
This is the dangerous raw run I've ever seen
If you haven't already, you guys should do applecross pass in Scotland... Amazing run!
What would happen if there was a dip in the road? Like a little pothole? How do you react in time to those?
Crazy guys , but they really know what they do ! Great !,😘
beautiful landscape and nice shooting!
Where is he now?
I'm getting my first longboard and I have a question do they keep going faster and faster or do they reach a speed and stey thair
I wonder what could happen if you wear a wingsuit
My family lives here! Gotta try skating here aswell someday
Btw a scary note, back in the day when I was much younger, those railings weren't there and 90% of the road was gravel ;)
How long do bearings and wheels last while doing runs like this?
This one feels so much for real than the others
l like these hills, this beautiful scenery can never be seen in my country that's filled of buildings and concrete.
this is amazing, although I cant watch parts of it
Just wondering about the speed in the lower rougher passage... must've been damn near or over 80 k
YOU GUYS ARE FUCKING INSANE! NICE DOING SOMETHING YOU LOVE :D
The guys surely know few thing about good downhill.
But man, WHAT A PAVEMENT!
Longing in Europe should be a great fun I guess.))
Also the scenery at 4:35!

Super ballsy, btw. Found myself leaning as I was watching the dude get close to the side of the road... O_o
+Adam Drazic Comet takeover, aeras, krimes these wheels 80a
