I wonder why some people will still go on to dislike Wode Maya's videos. So they spend money to buy data, just to come and dislike this young and hardworking man's video. I'm looking forward to the day RUclips will monetize their dislikes. I hail you Wode Maya.
This video has more value than almost any class I’ve paid for in college. The way she so eloquently described the inclusion of African history from the AA’s viewpoint displaced the negativity with courage and nobility, which is something that is so necessary for us mentally. Especially as we are on paths of self discovery, and self identification. Bravo!
I love this woman ....she is well informed and speak to the heart and make me want to cry .We have been led astray and still lot of people don't get it ..Leaving in the middle of paradise and asking for food and survival. WE have everything to be proud of ,our education does not talk about our unique identity.....We have been practicing conservation with rules and customs but we have easily given in to.the rubbish from.the west and now we are losing our heritage..Bring back our past to define our identity and culture.

Art attacks everyone even her own African American she is just not a positive person. Her purpose is to only see the negative and cause controversy for likes on RUclips in my opinion.
Excellent ! I love her smile and strength. She makes me excited to be a decendant of those full of strength who had to endured struggles we will never have too in the capacity they did. I know we still have the same struggles in a different form. She is spot on with education. She is awesome. As an educator I get what she was saying about education. Thanks for having a spotlight on another amazing African woman making a Africa Great! I’m excited about my Homecoming!
African Americans need to educate ourselves. We must use our resources to ensure we educate our children ourselves. Allowing the government to program our children has been disastrous.
"Understand your own humanity. Not to be defined by political structures that constantly want to see you as other." This is the key, man. This is one of my favorite videos of yours, Wode Maya. This is inspiring.
Thank you for interviewing "Auntie Renee"; very interesting. I would love to see you interview Lisa Marie Goodson of the Blackberry Beauty Academy. She is an African American living in Ghana.
Hi Damien. I am pretty sure Aunt Renée will be delighted for your inputs. What makes this contents interesting is for you to find your part of the Jigsaw and fit yourself in. I see where I fit in and thus, can't wait to come to GH and be part, after this illogical convid19 plan-demic.
@@kwamelion270 I completely understand what you're saying, but Ghana isn't the place for me I'm more focused on The Gambia or maybe Uganda. And yes we are all pieces of a puzzle slowly coming together. Hopefully what I'm working on will be a big soultion to the continent and probably the world. But time will tell, and hopefully I'll be able to achieve what I want to achieve.
Absolutely brilliant, love her words, if we were educated as we should be, no-one can come and give us pesticides, plastic bags, etc, we could pass on this incredibly, important knowledge to our children in order to elevate themselves, each other and our environment!! ✊🏿
Addi Teacha That’s what I keep saying... our African brothers/sisters and African Americans don’t understand we are the key to peace and prosperity to the world! They don’t realize African Americans dominate USA culture and influence the world culture. We are changing America.
There are plenty of us in the diaspora who want to invest in environmentalism and sustainability. We need to know so we can support. Would love to be involved in some capacity.
Yeah. She's from Bauston (Boston). 😊 She's got that Kennedy style/accent of pronouncing many words. I love stories where repatriated Africans from the West have emigrated to the Continent and are now making contributuions to development there. Thanks, wode Maya!
This is what define an African American woman and auntie Renee has demonstrated to us. She is well educated and informed. She speaks with so much conviction of where we came from and legancy of men and women.

Whether people tell you or not, the work you're doing is healing. Thank you for helping bring us together, despite the struggles. I'm African American, and I want to move to Africa and do similar work. May the ancestors bless you 🙏
The intelligence of Auntie Renee is clear for all to see. My favourite part, EDUCATION Not School. We need to ask questions to understand why we do what we do. The current curriculum/system that has no application on how a person uses their own MIND but rather to regurgitate memorised information to get a pass, need to be thrown into … forever!
Auntie Renee speaks with such grace and passion. She's very perceptive in noticing how Africans work together with their environment. Yes "education is key". The agroforestry project is a great idea. Lovely interviews.
‘Education is key’ as Aunty Renie said the type of education we have in most African countries is flawed that is unsuitable for us. It is promoting colonial education and is not fit for purpose for Africans in the 21st century. We need to make agriculture a key subject in our primary and secondary school curriculums. Agriculture should be done in a sustainable way. If not in the future the Sahara desert will meet the Atlantic Ocean. African education is now totally focused on education that is not practical. Have students that come out of colleges and universities that lack practical experience in the subjects they have learnt. Now living in the digital era how many government schools have access to the technology needed for students attending these schools. For those attending fee paying private schools this is readily available. This will lead to majority being left behind. Africa has the natural resources but needs leaders that can seize this opportunity to change the narrative of Africa. Leaders like Paul Kagame of Rwanda who has changed the country by positioning it to face new opportunities and now the go to country in Africa, for tech companies. African leaders who find most of their young people heading to the Sahara desert to come to Europe have failed them. Countries like Eriteria, Ethiopia and Nigeria. Being literate should enable Africans to read their environment. In knowing what is suitable for the area they live in.
I love Aunty Renee! I am blown away by what she's been able to achieve in Ghana. We are African Americans. I can identify with what she is saying about us being institutionalized as 2nd class citizens. She explained how I feel perfectly. We come from someplace worth knowing about. I am so inspired. My daughter wants to move to Ghana😍😘🙏 You've done it again Wode Maya. Keep pounding✅

Once again you have shown that Ghana’s present and future are in great hands. As an African American, I watched with great pride to know that one of our own, Auntie Renee, was offering such forward thinking, progressive and sustainable solutions. She and her team are phenomenal, serve as an inspiration to all. Also, I love that she’s preparing the next generation for new, untapped opportunities. Auntie Renee is America’s loss, Ghana’s gain. She's so wise! It hit me what she said that once you realise the lineage you come from and the struggle they overcame just so you can be here today, then you know your worth. Secondly, education of our history helps us to know our worth today.
one thing i can say Is Ghanains are very smart. They are the only African country that i have seen that Targets African Americans and other diasporans to come home and develop the country. If this pattern continues then Ghana will give Nigeria a run for its money even though Nigerias's population is about 6 time larger that crazy. Mad love to Ghana!
