If you raise Lela's bed so she can see outside, it might alleviate some of her car sickness. This worked for me as a young girl and now I do the same for my dog.
14:38 I stopped using that bit of plastic that wraps around the drone as well... because I lost it. lol Also Lela's expressions are hilarious in the back of the car 😄Thanks for bringing us along, loved the drone shots! Looking forward to the next video
I lost my American cocker at the end of August last year. She was a rescue. We had her almost 9 years. Never knew her exact age as she had two sets of tattoos - was either 5 or 8 yrs old when we adopted her. Miss her every day. Lela is lovely.
You never forget your lovely dogs l was 21 when l got my golden cocker spaniel. I’m nearly 70 now, but I remember that Dog so much. He was so faithful who lived till just before he was 19 in fact, I remember all my dogs that I have been lucky enough to live with. I’m sorry you might not agree with my view, but I think Dogs are better than most people. 😅
I totally understand having a car sick dog. 😬. The shelter told me she did really good in a car. A mile from the shelter she barfed up her huge breakfast they had fed. Then totally panicking and stomping it all over. I still love her. She just doesn’t get to go with me. Nice to see you with your own videos. Don’t see much of you when you’re at the pethericks. Good for you.
Question: Alex can you do an interview with Billys dad next please? I bet hes had an interesting life. We could see photos of him when he was young and throughout his life. I loved the interview with Yannis. ❤❤
I love Lela! I know less than 0 about videography. But I know what I like. Alex's work with The Pethericks is SO good! And, being an old lady in the US, I can just enjoy Alex's great accent while he talks about tech stuff. ❤
Thank you Alex for a refreshing look at how to produce content. I really appreciate your sharing the equipment you use as well as how and why you use it. Looking forward to following and learning! Cheers.
Layla , looking at her from the vid and from owning a few show cockers, don’t think she’s a working cocker, from looking at her she’s a show cocker, either way she’s stunning, treasure every moment, heart melting right now.
I am so in awe of your technical facility. How in the world are you going to film your back stories plus the Pethericks and edit same and get some sleep every day? That is an amazing challenge you have taken on. I look forward to following your channel. Congrats, Alex.
I don’t care what anyone says, England is sooo beautiful! I like the term “travel sick” as opposed to “car sick”. I’ve been sick like that in other vessels. It fits! Leila is a sweet dog!
Really enjoyed watching your video. We have seen both you and lovely Lela previously with The Petherick’s. Your skill with the drone and the cameras is just super. Thanks for allowing us to see what is involved when you head out to do your work. You’d make an excellent teacher, no fumbling around, get right down to business. We may not see you in front of the camera at the convent but we definitely know who is behind the lens when you are there 👍👍👍. Good luck, stay safe and happy. Judy🇨🇦🇨🇦
Awww 🥰 Lela is gorgeous and she’s so adorable Your such a sweetheart with her ❤❤❤ I have my one and only grandchild Bella she lives with me (6.1/2 years now her dad works away) and she’s a little muppet lapdog … she’s my tiny spoiled baby ,cough ,cough ..I didn’t make her this way honestly 🤣🤣 she comes everywhere I go … But anywho Love your work …thanks for taking the time to share this with us ❤
This was fascinating. Your travel video made me a bit carsick so maybe not as much of that. You’re great on camera and very genuine which is very important. Even not understanding most of the technical info I enjoyed watching you work. Keep going, Alex, and thinks for showing us Layla.
Congratulations on your new channel Alex! 🎉. I really really enjoyed your vlog! Super interesting seeing behind-the-scenes of what you do so well. Lela is adorable and it's wonderful to see her included. Are you going to be able to do vlogs while you are in France at the convent? Is Lela going with you? Wishing you much success! ❤ 🇨🇦
We had to take a ‘sick kit’ with us when my rescue Lurcher was still alive. Her car sickness did get less as she got older, but I never totally relaxed. It then became necessary again with grandchildren 🙄. Lovely houses - and they all seemed to be Petrolheads too.
I felt like Lela must feel watching that high speed footage Alex, couldn’t watch it sadly! Saw you 1st on the Pethericks channel, one of my favourites along with Yanis. Amazing things drones, all taken for granted now! All best to you! John in Monmouth 🏴
Beautifull dog your lela, very cute❤. Awsome to see you have your own channel now, know you from the petericks. I am Carla a grandma from Holland( good to meet you) Lela throws up in de car, maybe not give her anything to eat before traveling, also no treats. That might trigger the convulsion. Love anything to do with nature or annimals!
Thanks for sharing such interesting 'behind the camera ' footage & info ... Looking forward to seeing your journey. Good to see you back at The Pethericks too Alex.
There's never any traffic on the roads on your vid or Billy or Ryan. I envy you. Try some ginger cookies for Lela. Ginger is supposed to settle an upset stomach.
Big Lela fan from The Pethericks. 😍 She is adorable. Try a bit of ginger (gingersnaps) about an hour before the car rides. Also, keep watch on her ears. Our English Cockers often have allergies and then minor ear infections - which can make them a bit dizzy. Vets can also give some low-impact prescriptions to help. Sometimes, even low-dose Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can help. Lovely to see my old stomping grounds along the Avon. 💖
Looking forward to your videos! I also have a doggie that couldn’t ride more than a very short distance before getting sick. I, too, was withholding food if we were traveling. My father-in-law, who has had car sickness his whole life, said that although it is counterintuitive, an empty stomach makes it so much worse than if he has something to eat before riding in the car. I started giving my dog 1/3 to 1/2 half of her meal before putting her in the car. She also was on motion sickness meds and I kept the window open a bit. It helped immensely but it wasn’t until I put her in the front passenger seat that she was able to overcome being sick every time. Of course, that meant everything in the front was covered in towels and bed sheets to make clean-up manageable. (I also had to carry a change of clothing for the occasions when she got me!). :) I had a seat belt harness to keep her from crashing into the dash if there was an accident. It took a few months and lots of short trips for her to improve and now she rides very well in the back seat of the car without the need for drugs. Many humans and dogs with motion sickness suffer even more if riding in the backseat of a car. Good luck with your videos and beautiful four-legged videographer partner.
I've seen your dog on the Pethrick's channel for a couple of years and every time I see her, I ask about her. Crickets. Finally, I have a name to go with that beautiful face. She's a jewel. Thanks for the into Alex.
It would be interesting to see a video on the editing process. Maybe an explanation of why you chose the footage you do for the finished product. Thanks!
I sold houses in Malibu and Surrounding areas. Took the photos too! I was also the first person to create videos and put them on RUclips so people could see them live. A great job! We didn’t have drones back then!
Hi Alex even in my 80s I really find this interesting to see the work that goes on the other side of the camera not as easy as we think it will help others who would like to do the same work you are really organised with all your equipment. Have you tried having her in the front seat as it seems to help humans not feeling sick . Met you when watching the Pethricks. 😊 Ann🏴
Oye, I fibbed. I am thoroughly enjoying seeing how to operate a drone. I love drone footage, never used one. Thank you for being a good teacher/demonstrator, Alex.
I also came over from “The Pethericks”. Enjoyed your videos & I’ve subscribed. Looking forward to the video of the year with Yanis. Rob, Cardiff, Wales 🏴
Hi Alex! I found your channel through the Pethricks and I really enjoyed seeing things from the other side! You are an excellent photographer and editor!
Alex be careful that Yak chew is quite short and stubby and easily a choke hazard. I have 3 shephards and a chocolate lab all rescues too. I buy the longest chew then take it away when it’s short and stubby. My black Shephard will scoff anything and almost chocked…
Hey Alex. Just learned about your new channel on one of Billy Petherick's vlogs at the Convent. You do amazing work and the "behind the camera" videos is an awesome idea. Best of luck and btw I'm looking forward to the Yanis Q&A. It would be great to learn more about you if you are comfortable sharing.

HEY, ALEX, OVER 6 K SUBS NOW!!!
Time for Yanis' sit down on the Pethericks!
LET'S GET ALEX TO 10 K!

Oh yes I agree having a dog is so much like having a kid and same the other way round . But it's all fun really and we wouldn't do without either
I agree. I adopted a sweet old shelter dog, and he did fine as long as he could see outside. Otherwise, he got car sick. Lela is a cutie.

Love you patience with Lela. How does she do traveling to France? I really enjoyed your videos for Billy and look forward to watching your channel!
She does ok, there are some natural anti sickness tablets I give her which work a treat 😁

Lela looks so much like the English Springer I had 40 years ago, particularly in profile. Lovely head. Lovely dog. Lela looks to be just as sweet
She is actually an English Cocker Spaniel 😁 lovely temperament!
An increase in subs already!
