Those lizards look abit like Komodo dragons, are they actually called Forest Dragon and do they have have that poisonouse saliva like the Komodo ones do? I camped there some years back and I am quite glad I didn't meat some of the dangerous animals but I came across some nasty plants
No they don’t.
You only have to watch for snakes, or if near a tidal river, crocs.
Australia has many kinds of monitor lizards, some get really quite large. I have a ground dwelling monitor living under my house that is about 1.5m long, longer than my German Shepard. At the house I lived at before this one we had one slightly smaller (about 1m) but the same type, living in a burrow by the clothesline. There’s some really big tree monitors at the picnic spot my family frequents by the lake too, easily 2m long.
What is the plant called at 2:39
and is it native?
Michael Lockyer hi ,the name of that plant is Mimosa Pudica .It origins from central and south America but thanks people curiosity it can now be found in nearly every tropical countries In Australia it is considered an invasive espicies!
