SCAD Visit

Students from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) recently visited the team at Hatch Exhibits to take their large-scale 3D printing skills to the next level. Using their files in our powerful Massivit 5000 printer, we were able to 3D print all the pieces to the body of their concept car.
After the initial printing, the students learned the best techniques for finishing and post-processing these massive 3D printed parts from the experts at Hatch. From support removal and sanding to gel application and assembly, the Hatch team shared their knowledge to help the SCAD students achieve perfect results.
We love working with aspiring designers and engineers with this kind of hands-on training. Equipping the next generation with the skills to bring their visions to life is incredibly rewarding. Kudos to the SCAD team - can't wait to see the car in action!
