I don't think cops would really do anything, maybe in america, but in europe if a celebrity like that does something like that, they wouldn't really care, if anything, they'd prolly shake his hand
It's so fun to see those two younger guys enjoying themselves. I guess at some point they sensed that the driver, despite his grandpa looks, knows a thing or two about driving.
Trumpistan thats pretty funny but honestly Idk about the NASCAR thing people here are more into rally racing, drifting competition, burn out challenges, dirt track racing and 1/4,1/8,1/2 mile drag racing NASCAR is a dying event 😱
I met Petter Solberg in Jönköping at Motor Elmia about 6 years ago. I have his autograph in the glove compartment of my modded Volvo 740 GL from 1987. I love to drift with it and make all the Epa-tractor boys go: "WTF was that?" when I pass them. An I4 with a turbo coming from a 16L Scania V8 and straight pipes. it sounds sooooo good. It's almost as if I get an erection every morning when I'm on my way to school.
Petter always smiled when he raced; it’s great how he stays in character until the the throttle goes down and there’s that slightly upturned smile that many of us are so used to - the guy loves to drive fast.
thats because he is Norwegian, Norwegian "celebrities" are just seen as normal people and are acting like normal people in public because weand they like it that way compared to the US
I've watched this many times and only recently noticed how respectful these test pilots were considering at 4:12 the specialist hops out of the car with his socks into the snow 😭
Every single one of those guys looked absolutely terrified. Then the second thy realize he can drive they start having fun. You have a better chance of not crashing with a guy like that driving the way he was then a normal person driving normally.
i don't blame him to be honest lol. when he's just like, "i just can't take it anymore. I just don't dare..." i feel that haha. if you didn't know it was a prank, or have never really enjoyed that sort of thing, it would be wicked scary and stressful lol.
Mt Grandad had a 2.0 litre Ford Capri when he was 72 and had been driving since he was 12 years old, it was his last car before having to give up driving, he still went waaay too fast but loved it all the same. He'd driven 40tonne vehicles, tanks, fuel bowsers and bombs to the airfields in WWII so had a license to drive pretty much anything on wheels. he was a funeral car driver for a while too..lol Gave me some of the best advice when I first started driving. Miss you pops.x
It's not outright driving at speed that kills, it's driving at the wrong speed in the wrong conditions and not looking out for those around you that does. I'm an advanced motorist but mainly I cycle to get to most places, the amount of selfish and frankly lunatic dangerous driving I see daily is shocking, it's no surprise that the death toll due to errant motorists is 1.5million worldwide (possibly as high as 2million...every year!!)
Pemuda Warisan he is the best! i just started to drive «bilcross» myself because of him! if you don’t know what «bilcross» is, its basicly «carcross». its like rallycross but in a mutch lower class than rallycross.
Splash I quote "when I drive like those guys" meaning that you say you can drive like a rally driver. Good job, English clearly is not your native language (hopefully).
I bought my wife that same car... lots of fun when some loser tailgates you thinking your just driving some slow wagon and you let it loose... shocks the crap out of people for sure.. and it handles like a dream even on the twistiest roads, so when some looser in his Mustang starts to tailgate on a winding road, you just let it loose and it leaves them in your dust... Very fun family car..!!!
Sorry bud.. but the AMG V8 is a different animal compared to the Scooby.... AMG mercedes is in a different league compared to suburu.. The Scooby is a good car,no doubt about it,but the V8 merc.......well.....
I appreciate that its Petter, but that chopped up edited parking lot driving video section was just lame. Every fwd youngster does that in Canada in the winter, maybe not so close to cars, but i thought they would get the car on the road and open it up a bit at least. Stay gold.
You just saying that because its not a canadian driving on a parkinglot in Canada... IF they did this out on the road,Peter Solberg would have lost his license,if they took it over limit from where you lose thew license.. And these guys wouldnt be afraid at 116 km per hour in this car,so he would push it harder.. They would NEVER get an approval from the police in norway to take this out on the roads... Traffic rules are extremely strict here in Norway! In 80 km/h zone you lose your license at 116.1 km/h. 90 limit zone its 126.1 and you lose your license. 100 limit its 142.1km/h and you lose your license and 152.1km/h in a 110 zone. Lower under 80km/h limit. I was pulled over by unmarked police and they clocked me to 132.6 in a 80km/h limit, and lost my license for 8 months. So no,a parkinglot where they had permission to do this was the only way! Doing burnouts and drifting in the parkinglots in Norway without permission, and police catch you,you are without your license from 3 weeks to 3 months depending on how bad it was.
pkbjorn35 They probably didn't expect anything like that at all! As a norwegian myself, I could easily tell that they were irritated and annoyed by this 'old man'. And I can assure you that the people hired at the Mercedes dealership, such as these guys, would not be playing around like this :) But at the same time, I do understand that it can look suspicious to some
I am american and damn proud of that but if it where an american in that passinger seat they would not be smiling. They would be irate and angry and screaming
"just did doughnuts" what are you? Some kind of americunt incabable of enjoying jokes from outside your country? Do you fucking know how hard that kind of driving is? This was in a parking lot, Jeff Gordan had to take it to an abandoned factory site to even accomplish that. There is so much less room for Petter to use man. Jesus Christ..
+Mathias Hansen Jeff was doing those vids at abandoned places to ensure safety and to have a set course that he knows. And doing donuts really isn't that fucking hard. AND EXACTLY, HE'S IN A FUCKING PARKING LOT HE HAS SPACE. Oh and guess what Jeff didn't do DONUTS THE WHOLE FUCKING TIME. Now I very greatly admire and respect Peter Solberg, but this is trash.
While I highly respect Peter Solberg himself, the driving was rather disappointing with all that spinning out. As some suggested, they didn't really need Peter for that prank, as any more or less skilled driver could do donuts and even without spinning out. I don't think Peter is that bad at doing them, just looks like he either doesn't care, or tries to be more "realistic" with the role.
the point was to scare them. not impress them. if he pulled some sick shit right off the bat they would for sure know that he knows what he is doing. that wouldnt scare them that much.
I'd say it would be better if he tried to scare them first, then impress them, since pranks like that involve revealing who the disguised person actually is in the end.
I didn't say his identity was left unrevealed, did I? My point was, if you are making a prank show with a rally champion like Peter Solberg, it's a huge waste if you won't let the driver show his full potential in the end, even if the targets of the prank know very well what he's capable of.
+Sam Wayne, would love to see you throwing around a two and half tonne car in an icy carpark. Yep, didn't think so, that's why P.S. is a three times WRC & you're either trolling or a dreamer on your XBox.
Well he was clearly pretending to be an old man out of control, so what do you expect.... drifting a car like that is much easier than drifting a rally car at 10x the speed in 10 times narrower roads.
Cause i'm sure you know how to drift better than a WR/WRX Champ... Take your pretentious crap somewhere else. And if you think the point of this video is pulling of some solid drifts, your an idiot.
Brilliant. What a driver. Perfect. Unlike the subtitles. Brakes stop you, if they break you don't stop because they are broken and no longer work. Break and brake, not the same word.
This is how a true car guy reacts. Excitement, laughter, all smiles, and only slightly worried about cops, nothing else.
I was thinking the same thing myself. They don't even care about anything else; just enjoying the sensation of speed and the drifting.
TheMausymaus yeah that's true. l would be speechless and honoured to be in same car with any pro racing driver.
I don't think cops would really do anything, maybe in america, but in europe if a celebrity like that does something like that, they wouldn't really care, if anything, they'd prolly shake his hand
The Sethioz Project yeah true! just imagine if it were Walter Röhrl or Michael Schumacher, they'd want his autograph 😉
Schumacher wont be driving cars anytime soon. I think at the moment it is even unclear if he will ever walk again..
It's so fun to see those two younger guys enjoying themselves. I guess at some point they sensed that the driver, despite his grandpa looks, knows a thing or two about driving.
Unfortunitly No One knows who Peter Solberg is in the US. This needs to change. Rally drivers are the best drivers in the world.
Don't think the people of Trumpistan care about any other motorsport than NASCAR :P
Trumpistan thats pretty funny but honestly Idk about the NASCAR thing people here are more into rally racing, drifting competition, burn out challenges, dirt track racing and 1/4,1/8,1/2 mile drag racing NASCAR is a dying event 😱

@@KennyR I'm in the land of the US and I could care less about nascar, I watch F1.
Some of us know Petter and Henning in the states.
Petter always smiled when he raced; it’s great how he stays in character until the the throttle goes down and there’s that slightly upturned smile that many of us are so used to - the guy loves to drive fast.
these guys are so calm and collected👍
norwegians
You basically learn how to do this in driving school here, no wonder they're calm ^^
When it's a setup they know
sorry dude but you have no idea how Norwegians normally are
when you can tell someone is in control of the car then you will just enjoy the experience, or would you be sitting n screaming?
at low revs that special AMG V8 sounds like a growling lion. I love it
AMG 63's are still V8's as always.
the C63 is still V8 Bi-Turbo, C43/C450 AMG use Bi-Turbo V6.
Yep. That's for the E63 and above. C63, AMG GTS both use 4.0 V8 Bi-Turbo.
It's similar to the sound my Toyota yaris makes.
Stryke most Amgen engines sound great at low revs
That's the best one I've seen. The driver was so cool after and humble for being a three time world champ. Even hugged it out to these poor blokes.
thats because he is Norwegian, Norwegian "celebrities" are just seen as normal people and are acting like normal people in public because weand they like it that way compared to the US
Theprofessional68 more electric chairs search
Loved the way how the unsuspecting passengers enjoyed it
This video is northern europeans in a nutshell.
I love the guy who was thoroughly enjoying himself
Such a great driver, such a great prank, great advert for both world champion and of course for the car.
Finally a REAL prank!!
sarcasm?
Hirmuli No no, most pranks are fake nowadays just to get viewers. This one is real, no acting.
this is an amg promo video, as fake as can be..
Hirmuli really?
I want to believe!
If u are most depressed man on earth, this kind a ride would give u the smile on your fucking face for the rest of the day, maybe more. :D
😁
"Have you been driving this car a lot?"
That's just epic
Go Petter! You're the man! 👏🏻
Best of luck winning the 2017 World Rallycross Championship! 🥇🏆
I've watched this many times and only recently noticed how respectful these test pilots were considering at 4:12 the specialist hops out of the car with his socks into the snow 😭
I normally hate prank videos but this one, does put a smile on my face.
i love that the guy turns from pure terror to having the time of his life, awesome guy
Rally drivers are the real champs ! There are no others, who know to drive as fast as them.
i really want that car, its fucking beatiful!
no es para tanto, hay mejores.
shut up fucking rat boy
You can't afford it.
So much love it!!! Peter Solberg is the hero of my childhood!!! I wish I can meet him personally!!!
Every single one of those guys looked absolutely terrified. Then the second thy realize he can drive they start having fun. You have a better chance of not crashing with a guy like that driving the way he was then a normal person driving normally.
This is a great advertisement for Mercedes. What a beautiful sounding engine.
that color, look at that beautiful color!!!! awwww
A C63 wagon and Solberg driving skills are the things of dreams here in the US.
Where is this? This people is so educated and polite.
betoen Norway
+Gonçalo Moreira, First world is amazing.

Not America.
My favorite rally driver is Peter Solberg. Always smiling, always funny.
Damn I love wagon versions of performance cars
Oh boy
There is no better sound

What master peace .
"boy, seat back and enjoy a legend on work"
..."oh my!! "... I cracked up at that one.. Excellent clip.. very good driver..
Thats great!!

World class entertainment!
Solberg is a heck of a driver.
All the guys thinking:Well, I might die here, but damn this is fun!!
Mr Hollywood! Unique driver! Thank you!
People from norway are so educated and peaceful, here in argentina that prank ends up with someone in the hospital for sure
Petter is always at his best when entertaining people. Way to go!! Not a new trick, but awesome job, Hollywood!
you know this is not a staged prank when people arent overly scared and got excited instead
I love how they all figure it out quickly, but love the ride. Hilarious. (Except for the guy with the green/blue pair of New Balances in his lap)
i don't blame him to be honest lol. when he's just like, "i just can't take it anymore. I just don't dare..."
i feel that haha. if you didn't know it was a prank, or have never really enjoyed that sort of thing, it would be wicked scary and stressful lol.
I miss this guy...wrc era
+Danger.prod I really agree with you on that
Miss? :P He's still driving
I met him last year hes such a nice person
+Tommy 20254321 - you are one lucky guy :)
I got a signed Subaru scarf from him back in 2003. And i haven`t the faintest idea where it is now which kinda sucks
Image waking up going to work and bam. Petter Solberg is taking you for a joy ride.
Brake brake brake not break break break
ummm... srsly?
are you joking or something....
+Coo1 Gam3r No I'm not joking! The slow pedal is the brake pedal. If you drop your best porcelain, you will break it.
OMG HOW DID I GO SO WRONG!!
THE TRUTH WAS HIDDEN AWAY.
Thx dude
+Coo1 Gam3r My pleasure!!
Yeah, he broke something when he said "BROKE"
well done . one of the best wrc drivers ever . come back and show them in the wrc how it's done again . all the best from wales

“Have you been driving this car a lot?” Hahah I love how they all kinda caught on halfway through
Great video; Petter is a legend!!
Jeff Gordon's prank on that car salesman is still the best one. This is still funny though.
Raikonnen: *Hold my sunglasses!*
Hasn’t Raikkonen also driven WRC?
bwoah
Dude 69 likes😏
My most favourite engines in the world r the V12 Aventador and the V8 AMG line ones. They purr like a badass
WRC Legend.
Loved the look of surprise when they found out that they were driving with a world champion. Loved it. 🚗🚗🚗👍
Honey, why are the groceries all over the place in the back of my station wagon?

Oh is that so
Siddharth Nandi yeah
Splash so you can drive like a professional racing driver yet you need a driving teacher? Okay..
jackpotit I dind say I can drive, I just said, that he gives me the same look like these dudes

Well as soon as I saw him counter steer perfect I wouldn't be worried anymore either.
"Break" so he won't "brake" the car?
I never comment on RUclips but this made my day 😂😂😂😂😂😂I love this!
A REAL PRANK IN 2016?!! ARE YOU CRAZY?!
This is awesome and thanks! A Merc guy who doesn't wear a seatbelt properly? LOL

175IQLOSERS German engeneering at its best!
You sound like you have ego problems. No one gives a fuck about your wagon.
aluisious lol hating on a beautiful car that anyone would love to own. Your ego got hurt puss. Enjoy
anyone? I guess im only one who doesnt want it then :P
Any car with decent suspension will leave a mustang in the dust 😂
One of the truly great drivers.
Honestly sad to see Solberg not in a Subaru
lol!
When you will drive AMG you will understand why Benz.
Bmw is garbage, try C63 and then talk shit bitch haha
Mercedes paid more
Sorry bud.. but the AMG V8 is a different animal compared to the Scooby.... AMG mercedes is in a different league compared to suburu..
The Scooby is a good car,no doubt about it,but the V8 merc.......well.....

peter is a good actor he was playing the old man that may not be able to controlle the situation thats all folks nothong to it
I agree. Any dude with a high HP engine can fuck shot up in a lot.
Norway is super strict on speeding n shit. This would be too risky
Petter is a very good actor as well...too funny..
Obviously they turned off all the electronics. Don't expect to do that right off the bat.
YES I CAN HEAR IT. THE EXHAUST NOTE IS JUST SO SICK!!!!
AMG: "Angriff mit Gewalt" (only Germans will understand)
Well now you have to translate to us norwegians here, please.
"Attack with violence" or some shit, i really dont speak German. But as a Norwegian i think i understand like 1%
MANOFTHEMOON: The german words are so similar to norwegian words. Angriff=Angrep, mit=med, Gewalt=Vold. Achtung Spitfire :P
His first time on 1st place was in Rally Acropolis on Greece with Subaru Team. So good and talented driver!
Norgeeee
These are my new favorite types of pranks
Is this in norway
The swedish Gamer Yes
Youre swedish and you cant recognize norwegian? :P
J
seriall1337 yes i can but i didnt listen
Yes
That was funny right there , now that's what I call a professional race car driver , nice job my friend !!! 👍😁😂🏎
I find it hard to belive that they dont see the cameras inside the car. Cameras are small, but not that small
pkbjorn35 They probably didn't expect anything like that at all! As a norwegian myself, I could easily tell that they were irritated and annoyed by this 'old man'. And I can assure you that the people hired at the Mercedes dealership, such as these guys, would not be playing around like this :) But at the same time, I do understand that it can look suspicious to some
Well usually they just place the camera on the dashboard and make it seem like it is deliberately placed there. The guys don't notice it to.
@EPOC Jeg syns alle unntatt han som går ut ser ut som de kjapt fatter en liten mistanke om at
pkbjorn35 Its in the vents
they didnt see the guy standing there filming with a camera outside of the car?
World champion taking you for a spin.. unbelievable stuff.
I am american and damn proud of that but if it where an american in that passinger seat they would not be smiling. They would be irate and angry and screaming
yoshic browning An American would have smoked the fool.
Because americans are raised in fear patterns
You fat fuckers wouldn't fit in that seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being american is nothing to be proud of
You're no American! The ones I know or could imagine would be grinning just as much
I love peta used to watch him all the time!!! 😆😆
You dont have to be Peter Solberg to drive like this in THAT car... :)
+SWATmusicPOWER Yeah ya do lol
With so much power on the rear wheels, it is not problema at all... I have drived MB SL 500... Piece of cake to do like this...
Well, true, it's just a matter of not stuffing it is all.
Yeah sure. This guy is a triple world rally champion.
In the u.s. the passenger would be shitting his pants and cursing. Scared Americans. Lol. Love how over there, they just smile and laugh
Cool but the Jeff Gordan pepsi commercial was better. He just did doughnuts got kinda boring

let me guess...you have no teeth, live in a trailer, have corvette emblems on a Pinto and your wife is really your sister
Hahaha I don't see how that's relative but sure

Love the bit at the end... Top Grandad driving ;-)
One of the only station wagons I want. I actually like it quite a bit
I really enjoyed that. The guy getting out with h
is New Balance trainers 😂😂🤣
First thing I would have thought, “why does this old dude have tape on the steering wheel?” Lol
Great fun!
