Yes there are Many clubs in all States Victor! I only visited the Tournament of Champions where the best Aerobatic pilots take place, most of these are from USA. No, they are Li Polymer -LiPo Such batteries are still used. I have a 2 meter Katana aerobatic model and use 2x5 cell in line = 10 cells LiPo's = 42 Volt for power and 2 x 2 cells LiPo = 8.4 Volt parallel for receiver and Servo power, the 8.4V reduced to 6 Volt output with help of Emcotec equipment.
