Would a protective trust harm social security in any way?

It depends on which type of Social Security. There’s Social Security retirement, supplemental security income (SSI), and Social Security disability income (SSDI).
There is no negative impact to either Social Security retirement, or SSDI.
However, with SSI, there are a few items that a special-needs trust should not pay for because it can result in a partial reduction of the SSI benefit (but vast majority of SNT distributions will not have any adverse impact).

Good day! My mom is 100% disable. She can not walk at all. She stay with me. But she had Medicaid medically needy and Medicare. Do you know if she qualified for this program?

If in Florida, we can definitely help. We would have to schedule a consultation to determine whether or not your mother qualifies for Medicaid Waiver to help pay for home-health care. If not, we can discuss what we can legally and ethically do to make sure she is qualified. We can then walk you through the process of getting her help paying for home health care (or getting you paid by Medicaid, through their PDO program, if you are the one providing the care). You can call or reach out to: scheduling@elderneedslaw.com if you are interested in learning more.
