The recent release of the Space Marines Heroes Series 4 (Blood Angels, 2022) is a simple recast of the Series 1 release. Did everyone else know about this but me? Yeah, it's in better plastic, but still...

Random fact, the numbers on the side of the boxes correlate to whats inside, I have 3 boxes and recorded what I got from each one. I'll update this comment when I get back to my house in a few days. I have the ones for Brother Marzio, Brother Kaerel and Brother Sergeant Raldaeo.

you can still buy the blind boxes in physical stores for $8 each. They keep restocking them

I haven't tried that on these, but AI can't see any reason why you couldn't use them here. These models are the same size and they don't even have much in the way of embellishments to remove, so you'll probably be good.
I got a question bro. What armour are the missile and heavy bolter guy wearing? It looks different.
It's basically the normal first born armor you get with tactical marines. The only differences is that the feet are different- they are wider with different details. Maybe the devastators have something similar, but I've never built those.
Other than that, the shoulder trim is a bit different, but it's tough to see.
He's wearing mostly mark 6 armour, with shock dampeners around his ankles because he wields a middle launcher and heavy bolter.
Some of the helmets and armor generations are different too. My Brother Marzio came out great after painting. I didn't know about these, I just saw them in the shop. When I first put him together I was disappointed. The red plastic looked and felt like a coin game toy. Once glued and painted, he's one of my favorites out of my Intercessors.

Actually, I have no idea. I didn't use helmets for these since they are supposed to be named characters. I know each kit came with a helmet and a non-helmet option, but I don't remember any beakies.
But if you have any beakies lying around from other kits you can use them here, no problem.
If you're just starting out, I think these are a neat way to get some different looking marines, with a bit of excitement from the 'mystery; collect them all' factor. If you've been collecting or playing for years, than it's probably very underwhelming.
That's a very good point, Jon. If you already have a bunch of Space Marines, then this is just another batch. But it does add some variety if you are just getting started.
Have you seen the primaris edition yet?
@Your Average Bear Gaming are those the next 'blue' set, the one they're tying into Kill Team or are they one and the same? Anything that gives me a way to impulse buy marines sounds like a good time
@@jonlangfitt I'm not sure, but I think you might be talking about the newest release of Heroes. I think those are primaris type marines and these are first born.
Recasts or not I'm just happy to get a chance to pick up these correct sized first born models. I hope they do the terminators as well
Those terminators were pretty cool. A nice alternative to the basic termies for sure.

These are series 2 not series 4 , it’s a reprint. You have space marines series 1 and series 2, series 3 is plague marines (the best one money wise) series 4 are primaris marines and not out yet
You are correct, but that's not how they were positioned when they first came out. There was no mention that these were a reprint, which was my beef in the video.
They were marketed as a new thing, but they were the same as series 1 (series 2 were the terminators).

I want third rererelease of death guard, those were great, other space marine ones suck ass.
Those Deathguard looked SO COOL. I didn't pick them up since I am not a fan of Chaos armies, but they looked amazing.
