Hi Claudia, Do you pre soak all the meat in water to let the blood leak out of the meat to prevent the caldo broth not to darken when it cooks in the pot?
Omg Claudia, that looks delish, I would recommend you get a skimmer spoon for the foam, I got one and it's been amazing for all the caldos we make at home year round. Happy Friday 😊

Buy some Ramen packages, take the season packets out and boil some pork in the water with the seasoning. At the end, add the noodles. That's extreme budget. If you want more extreme, just drink some water.
If you think it's expensive now it's nothing remember those movies where people are running into grocery stores and gas stores stealing food snacks and formula.
Caldo de res reminds me of my childhood. I remember being a picky eater and taking all the veggies out but def want to try make this now as an adult. Thanks Clau!
Since I keep kosher here is a great tip: to take out any remaining blood from non-kosher meat add the meat to a big pot of water with about 1/4 to 1/2 of cup of salt do not boil just let it sit there. It will take out “impurities”… drain the meat to wash out any remaining salt cook as usual! It’s great to wash the meat since most places dye the meat to make it look red…. what I do for my caldo is also sear the meat prior to placing it in the pot omg it’s made such a difference!!! It allows it to be tender and juicy….
I could’ve watched you eat the whole thing 😂 it looks so good! I’m shocked at how easy it looks to make it! It’s just very time consuming, but worth it 😋

I’ve made caldo de res before but tried it your way tonite & it was so so good!!! I only did a few things different, didn’t have corn on the cob so used drained corn & added small can v8. Thank You!
Finally, a video with great directions and instructions thank you. I will be trying this this weekend. We have a cold front coming in here Texas next week. Oh and the corn tortilla with stew beef in it great tip.
Beautiful outfit! I am hooked on the squash in soup now. It is the first thing I make sure I have on hand now for soup. My Dad would just call this vegetable soup. He was serious about his soup. He would look at that bowl and be so happy 😘

When I was pregnant I’d go to one of my local small business (everyday basically) that is a mix of a little restaurant/convenience store and the owner made some amazing Caldo De Res that’s what I’d order every single time and I’d order 2 large bowls lol I am definitely cooking this recipe!!

I made this for the first time last night. I made it without MSG because I have a strong sensitivity to MSG. I make some Mexican dishes but for the new ones that I want to make I usually take a look and see if you have the recipes for them because they come out super delicious. I'd tried the chayote and I was not impressed. I prefer zucchini. The rest of this recipe was spot on. Looks beautiful and I love your soup bowls very reminisce of old Mexican fondas. Enjoy and God Bless.
