good thing max guard protects against it. and we already have the random status it's called g-max befuddle. my question is how would this work when it interacts with types, abilities, or effects that reduce fire damage? would that 80% be reduced appropriately?
Can only imagine what kind of shenanigans can happen if it also inflicted secondary effects like Encore or trapping effects. Imagine setting up when all of a sudden you're hit with G-Max Supernova, and all of a sudden you're Encored, Taunted, and Whirlpooled for good measure.
Honestly, if there was a Pokemon game set in FFVII's Midgar, I could honestly see a Pure Steel Midgarian Doublade, which has a split evolution into two different Aegislash based on influence, where it abandons one of the two swords that make up its body becoming either Cloud's Buster Sword (Steel/Psychic) or Sephiroth's Musamune (Steel/Dark), with entirely different stat distribution (Buster is 130 Attack 130 Special Defence, Musamune is 130 Special Attack 130 Defence) Honestly they could do a lot with the Honedge line in crossovers.
@@pkmntrainerred4247 I’m slightly biased. With that being said, the reason I chose Psychic over Fighting is that it would leave the Musamune form with a 4x weakness to the Buster form. The idea is that Buster has to overcome overwhelming odds to defeat Musamune. Plus STAB Psycho Cut aligns well. Importantly, neither form should have access to Sacred Sword for this reason.
@@FrostGlader Yea, I just thought fighting fits better but you know what, the psychic typing representing Cloud having to overcome overwhelming odds and rising to oppose Sephiroth despite not matching him in power is better than giving him a sword that OHKOs Murasame even when underleveled. Maybe it can have a signature move that compensates for it's dark-weakness by giving it a better chance against dark types but its learnt at a pretty high level.
