Fit well, work well, but are cosmetically wrong. Getting another set made to replace them, as dentist has admitted they are incorrect. Looking on the old photo there is a metal bridge behind the station, there is now a stone parapet wall instead, I'm thinking it was when the bridge to the goods siding was being filled in.
Hi Robert. I have another couple of 'sister' photos which I'll be doing shortly. I think what was happening was that the side wall near united reform church was being reinforced when the built the new road through town in the mid 70's, that they were doing some work on the bridge and using the bridge as access for the materials for he work below - Not 100% sure though - Will get round to those pics within the next few days or so 👍
Hi Bill, so after all that the dentists had one cock up for you, at least you have got teeth now albeit almost invisible ones to the naked eye whilst the new set are being made up. That then and now at the station has to have been one of the best ones showing how little had changed in the background with the houses. Not too shabby if it's from about 60 years ago. lol finally got teeth nice spin to newton abbot with some trains btw that train was going to weston because in bristol they was doing something to the tracks for 9 days but its opened today but it would have been a cardiff service
