I've had no problem traveling with my Byrna but no co2 cartridges. You can send some ahead through the mail if possible. Or run a Byrna Boost on your launcher. It takes the readily available 12g cartridges that are a lot easier to find than the standard 8 gram ones.

When I travel with my SD. I pack the launcher with my checked bag but I keep the CO2 plug with my carry-on. I also roll a small sheet of paper that sticks out of the CO2 port so it's easy for the TSA to see that the port is empty. I feel that keeping the CO2 plug with me might prevent the launcher from "accidentally disappearing" as it's not functional without the plug.
