보성의 문화재 - 봉강리 정씨 고택/ Boseong Cultural Property - Bonggang-ri Jeong Clan's Old House

보성군 회천면 팽나무 군란지가 장관을 이루는 인근에 조선시대 전형적인 대농가옥인 회천면 봉강리 정씨고택이 있다.
전라남도 문화재자료로 지정 된 보성 봉강리 정씨고택은 뒤쪽으로는 일림산이 앞으로는 보성 득량만이 한눈에 들어오는 명당 중의 명당이다. 봉강리 정씨고택은 임진왜란 때 공을 세워 선무원종공신 1등을 책봉 받은 반곡 정경달 후손들이 15대 째 거주하고 있는데 안채는 400여 년 전 정손일에 의해 초가로 지어졌고 이후 정손일의 9대 손이 1890년에 초가를 헐고 그 위에 기와로 새로 지어 정해룡이 중건했다. 봉강리 정씨고택은 넓은 대지에 건물들의 간살이가 넓으며 평면이 일자형이고 안채와 사랑채가 담장으로 확실히 분리 돼 그 기능이 잘 구분 돼 있다.
남부지방 전통가옥의 특성을 두루 갖춘 보성 봉강리 정씨고택은 2고주 5량 구조로 구성 돼 있는데 자연의 지세와 외부에서 방으로 들어가는 사람의 실제 움직임상의 선후 관계를 살린 구조라 할 수 있다. 안채는 후면으로 돌출 시켜 전체적으로 요장형의 평면이며 사랑채는 기억자형의 바깥사랑채와 일자형의 안사랑채가 있었는데 지금은 안사랑채만 남아 있다. 봉강리 정씨고택의 특징은 정원인데 뒷산의 계곡에서 끌어들인 물이 흘러 집안 개울에 머물다 넘쳐 정원 연못으로 연결 돼 있으며 주변에는 사군자가 있다. 봉강리 정씨고택은 조선시대 양반 가옥과 대농가옥의 전형을 잘 보여주는 문화재자료이다.
Jeollanam-do Designated Cultural Property Material Bonggang-ri Jeong Clan’s Old House
In the vicinity of the spectacular Hoecheon-myeon hackberry colony, the Jeong family's old house, which is a typical large farmhouse in the Joseon Dynasty, is located in Bonggang-ri, Hoecheon-myeon, Boseong-gun.
The Jeong family's old house in Bonggang-ri, Boseong, designated as a cultural asset of Jeollanam-do, is one of the most famous places where you can see Illimsan Mountain in the back and Deukryang Bay in Boseong in the front. Bonggang-ri Jeong Clan’s old house is where the 15th generation descendants of Jeonggyeongdal, the descendants of Bangok Jeonggyeong-dal, who made a contribution during the Imjinwaeran Invasion, and was given the first place in the Order of Seonmuwon sect, have been living there for the 15th generation. In 1890, the thatched house was demolished and a new one was built on top of it with tiles, and it was rebuilt by Jeong Hae-ryong. The old house of Jeong Clan in Bonggang-ri has a wide range of buildings on a large land, a straight plane, and the main house and the men's quarters are clearly separated by a fence, so their functions are well distinguished.
The old house of the Jeong family in Bonggang-ri, Boseong, which has all the characteristics of a traditional house in the southern region, is composed of a two-go, five-car structure, and it can be said that it is a structure that takes advantage of the natural topography and the actual movement of the person entering the room from the outside. The inner chae protrudes to the rear and is flat as a whole. Sarangchae has a memory-shaped outer sarangchae and a straight-shaped inner sarangchae, but now only the inner sarangchae remains. The characteristic feature of the Jeong family's house in Bonggang-ri is a garden, where water drawn from a valley in the mountain behind flows and stays in the creek of the house, overflowing and connected to the garden pond, and there are four gentlemen around it. The Jeong family's old house in Bonggang-ri is a cultural property material that shows the typical examples of noble houses and large farm houses in the Joseon Dynasty.
