Do you like the water level in the Normal cycle, or are you saying that you like the fact that the washer let's you select various cycle options that give you the control to use how ever much water you want?
@@hiphop360 We never use the normal option in my house, we just feel there is never enough water to clean the clothes. If you are looking for a quick wash with a lot of water use the Speed Wash setting and use the Deep Fill option. We've been quite impressed with how well it cleans for such a short cycle.
At least it gives you the option for a deep fill which is great when it defaults to a low water level except the normal cycle which locks out that option.

Glad to see my Maytag is not the only one that does this. Using bulky works great - and even using normal, autofill things seem to get clean - but I watched a cycle were part of my pants were 3 inches above the water line, completely untouched until the spin cycle. This washer has better agitation than mine.
I think LG missed it with this one..They should have made a traditional one unit agitator that would pull the clothes down thru the water similar to the old GE filter flo models. the upper fins serve no purpose in agitation .also these new washers pause too much for me... it should be a continuous wash...for at least 20 min and then maybe a turbo spin and start the washing over but pausing every 5min and with slow or poor rollover are the clothes being washed? or just wet with a detergent smell.. Another con these washer cannot do a large load of laundry say 10 towels and washcloths and get them clean Good post though!!
Well after all, it is LG's first time making an agitator machine, not everything is gonna be perfect and not everything will go as planned. Maybe after a few attempts, LG will know what the problem is and do everything you said to make this machine better.

@@cfhgirl9902 I haven't had any issues with it. The cycle I use 99.9% of the time is Deep Wash. I think the deep wash settings uses a good amount of water for the wash cycle, has good wash action, and uses a traditional rinse cycle that puts water in the tub then agitates the clothes.
Interesting how this goes straight to 920 rpm on the spin cycle with these settings for this cycle. Mine (the washplate version, WT7300) never does that unless I have the soil setting set to Heavy. I'm curious now if the programming was updated on this model for the other cycles as well or if they all still usually limit to 840 rpm.
I think they may have changed some settings.. Are you familiar with the Waveforce feature that suppose to occur during Turbo Wash? It is when during the wash cycle the tub starts to spin and the wash water in the tub is suppose to spin up to the top of the tub and supposed to be the powerfully sprayed back into the tub? I have yet to observe the water moving to the top then sprayed back into the tub. At 12:28 & at 16:47 you can see that the load will start spinning in the middle of the wash cycle, but no "powerful jet spay" starts. If you take a look at LG's video at ruclips.net/video/0u3r3bP6lWc/видео.html you can see an animation of what the Waveforce feature is supposed to do. That LG animation is not using the agitator model. But the model you have. Can you confirm that what the animation shows actually happens with your washer?
If I had to guess they may have retired at least some of the Waveforce feature with these new models. On LG's video for this machine it's nowhere to be mentioned. The only part still kept in is the spinning which I assume still helps soak the laundry. They may have done because the closest thing I see otherwise is spin cycles that limit to 840 but burst at the very end to 950 and then cut off. This did a short burst from 920 to 950 before cutting off as well, as mine would do on Normal + Heavy soil. I somehow would and wouldn't be surprised if the Heavy Duty cycle also now goes straight to 920.

@@daniell6610 Usually the soil levels don’t have any effect on wash programs or spin speeds they simply extend the timer. There would be changes in cycles for example using the heavy duty cycle might give you different programming in the wash parameters, Spin speed is determined by the spin speed options button in all cycles, with limitations for example the delicate cycle you can’t select the highest spin speed.
@wayne136 If you care to know exactly why the "Normal" mode sucks so bad, and why LG even created "Turbowash" here ya go. The default "Normal" cycle that has Turbo Wash 3D enabled is governed by the Department Of Energy (DOE) and has to be in compliance with their energy/resource use guidelines. DOE finalized standards for residential clothes washers in 2012, and they took effect in 2015. A second tier of standards for top-loading washers took effect in 2018. For more info on that take a look at appliance-standards.org/product/clothes-washers When using one of the other modes you can have washer fill the tub with water all the way to chrome cap if you wanted to. The other modes are not governed by the DOE, only the default Normal mode.
There is a Fabric Softener Compartment. This compartment holds liquid fabric softener, which is automatically dispensed during the final rinse cycle. For the most effective use of your fabric softener, LG recommends that Turbo Wash be deselected.
I do not see how those close got clean. The agitator is suppose to pull the close down into the water. The close rub against each other and the agitator to get clean. There was no where near enough water to do this. That might have been enough water for three sets of socks. I'll watch the heavy duty cycle, and hopefully see how the agitator actually works.
