That's extremely low,. Consider a money market account which is offered by a lot of companies in Kenya or even gvt bonds which give a 10% p.a return You can also get in the stock market for even higher returns when you hold your shares for a long period of Time

Companies regulated by CMA (Capital Markets Authority) are "safer" coz even if they go under, you will always get back your money. Two, this is something i did, get a financial advisor, a mentor. Who will teach you about finances, right from the basics and by the Time you are done with the mentorship programme, you can be able to do valuation for companies by yourself and create checklists that will guide your investing.

That's absolutely right, and the interest you earn is taxed as well. And sometimes they don't explain it clearly as it ought to be. I have an experience with Britam Money Market Fund, I went to two of their offices and I got different kinds of information about their Money Market fund. I decided to withdraw from them.
