Great video - I just repaired my broken left hinge also. Only problem I had was the connector on the white wire got slightly out of round and it wouldn't click back onto the post. I was able to use a magnifier and small instrument to reshape the connector. Thanks for your excellent help!
Hey! I have the exact same model and my left-sided hinge is broken. The black plastic just below the screen is also getting off from the left side. Could you give an estimated cost for its repair by a service center or local repair shops?
Hello, I just replaced my hinges on AN515-51-55WL and when doing so I found a magnet stuck to my screw driver and have no idea where it goes. I image it’s for a lid closes detection. Any idea what I should do with it?
Very pitiful video. Instead of focusing on the front of the laptop, showing more of the table top which is useless, the camera should have been focusing more with a closer view at the hinge area, which is why we are here to learn how to access the damaged hinge(s). Now its a guessing game. Yeah. its simple to remove the laptop underside cover to access the internal components of the laptop, but its the damaged HINGE(S) that needed to be addressed.
The additional off screen "REPAIR OF THE DAMAGED HINGE" is absolutely useless to the viewer. How anyone can say this is a great video has no idea as to what is transpiring. Don't waste your time here. MOVE ON TO SOME BODY WHO WILL PROVIDE THE PROPER VIDEO

Do u have to unhook the battery pack?
preventing unexpected startup is a safety precaution
I did it without having to remove the screen from the base
