This video about made me cry. I have lost 104 pounds and all I can think about is losing to 145. I weigh 154 and I know!!!!I should just be so grateful I lost that in 7-1/2 months. I wear a 10. If I have weight loss surgery I will wear a smaller size. Iam 5' 5". Today Iam going to stop!!!! Iam just going to be grateful for my was RNY surgery, grateful for Dr. Weiner and my level 10 videos for bringing me where Iam . Iam going to stay away from those stupid charts!! BECAUSE I AM FINE RIGHT WHERE I am!! Thank you for this video I needed it today. Good health to you all. Just remember You are ENOUGH!!
I needed to hear this!!!! I weigh 160 fifteen years out from gastric bypass. My highest weight at surgery was 297. I need to realize how great that is! Thank you!!
Love your work Dr Weiner. Thankyou for making the time and effort to answer these questions, as your answers are so helpful. Thankyou for caring and keeping it real. I am almost 9 months post op VSG and feeling good. I'm happy with my current weight loss. Im 5'7 and started at 107kg. I am now 80kg, however the weightloss has slowed down significantly. My GW is 70kg. I discovered your channel when I was pre op doing all my research, a pound of cure is inspiring and also easy to sustain. Your advice has really stuck in my head. I'm not completely meat free but mainly stick to assorted vegetables, legumes, lentils and beans as the primary source of fuel for my body. Much love from Sydney, Australia
Hard to hear, but needed to be said. I got down to close to what I wanted (2.5 years now after GB). I then stopped weighing myself regularly and focused on weight lifting and eating enough protein. But it is easier for me because I am a man. I also went healthy Keto after about two or three months after GB. I started at a little of over 330 (stopped weighing myself at my peak weight) and got down to 175 (my goal was the top of BMI chart for normal weight, which was 160). I am holding around 190 to 195, but I put on a lot of muscle. Still wish I could lose another 10 or 20 pounds. But I am happy. I went from not fitting into 5x shirts (started to get tight) and now fit in large to xlarge shirts and from over 54 sized pants to 34.
I’m glad you shared this. This hurt a bit but we need to know. I guess the question that follows is what do we do to ensure that we lose the maximum amount of weight before our weight loss stops?
This is the video for me bc I am sleeve at 31 BMI. I’m still going. 175.8 to 138.7! No! We stay focused on the “Pound of Cure” plan and do our best. Hang in there! I reach goal…but not my goal!
What can we do for losing regain? I’m four years out and my weight has been continually climbing for about a year. I’m over weight again very frustrating
Aww seesh I am happy but want another 20..im 180 after my sleeve and I have been within 5lbs up or down for 5 years..but im slowly starting to regain..and im trying everything 😫 I want to have children but not at 180s..im afraid.. Before I got big (after my mom passed from cancer) I was always 145- 155.. I got to 280 after my mom passed..but I haven't been able to move past the 180s and it's driving me crazy honestly..I understand what you are saying but it's rough n brutal to hear

Congratulations on your success !
That’s wonderful and you should be very happy with yourself. That’s quite an accomplishment.
This is why I love this guy!! I appreciate this honesty and am grateful I learned early on not to set a goal weight.

It’s hard when your used to being obese and constantly told you need to lose weight to know when you’ve lost “enough” weight.
So true!

That's really awesome!
Bravo. Good job

Hard truth i guess I needed to hear. It broke my heart. I'm 2 1/2 yrs out. During covid I managed to stay in high 230s. My goal is/was skin removal.
Guess I'll be happy with my 80# loss from the sleeve, and keep focusing on keeping it off
Thank you so much for this video I really needed to hear this!!💕❤️💕❤️

You may have seen this already, but Dr Weiner has a video specific to regain. Good luck to you. ruclips.net/video/R7zBjwtL51M/видео.html
Possibly regain has come from processed foods and perhaps lack of excercise?
Great info. Thank you so much!
I only lost 60lbs after a gastric bypass, not at all at goal weight and I'm 1 year 9 months post op.
It is easy to get a higher set point. Is it possibel to get a lower set point if you keep the weight down over time?
