I hope this video helps you have the confidence to make your own repairs.
Thanks for watching.
Amazing work and craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
I have done a few of these. I use a rubber boot at each end with a pvc block off in each boot with the valve in of the pvc block off. Hit the spots with the a torch and the pressure pushes the dents out.
I've done it that way also. I was using a radiator hoses. It definitely wasn't up to the task, it burst. It also tried to push the plug out the end. But that was just my experience. I was able to do two or three pipes with that setup.

Thanks for the lesson! I’m gonna give it a try!
Aah, there's nothing to it!
Hey Crusty, You are a True Magician!
Thanks Tim 😊
Amazing !
It's kind of rewarding too!
very tidy work have you ever considered getting a exhaust pipe guard?
Thank you, and yes, I have considered those guards. In my opinion, they have their own set of issues, plus I don't care for the look.
I had success by filling the pipe with water taping one end shut... And freezing it. The expanding ice took out the dents... If you close both ends of the pipe, fill it with water and freeze it. You'll rupture the pipe. Physics does all the work while you sit back and drink beer 🍺
I like that, a lot safer too!
Problem is that the freezing stretches and work hardens the metal which eventually will lead to cracks. The heat method anneals and resoftens the metal each time you use it bringing it back to like new condition.
I'll just keep fixing it with the torch, the way I always have.
