    Awesome to see that youre still posting content man. I havent painted my rifles yet but I practiced on some mags and pry bars, came out great. Really appreciate the info man, keep it up!

      Thanks man, that means a lot! Those must be some pretty sweet looking pry bars haha. I love practicing on mags, keep the good ones or just paint over and try again.

    Wow, that looks really good! I've always viewed Flecktarn as a tough pattern to recreate, but you figured out a great method.

      Hey thanks, I appreciate that! It was definitely a tough pattern to create a method for after a bunch of trials

      @@SaveFace have you successfully painting over any quad rails? I was afraid the surface texture would screw up some of the soap and or paint

    • @SaveFace
      @SaveFace  Год назад

      @@brothersofthebackrow no I haven't. Might be better to drizzle soap instead of painting it on? I think you would have to be more patient spray painting, making sure you cover all the angles a quad rail has. When I've painted upper receiver rails they get thicker from paint, to the point of having to force an optic mount on if it slides on.

    I have a WWSD ar15 build that I made with sale parts, so some tan some black. Just hunted down the paint and I’m going to do this soon. Awesome tutorial

      @@SaveFace Well that was certainly an experience. Definitely fell into the same issue of not putting quite enough soap down on some coats. But overall ended up happy with it.
      I posted it on the rattlecanned subreddit.

      Thank you! Overall I like this shotgun a bit. I got it primarily because I wanted a home defense shotgun, and my first bullpup for cheap haha. Ergonomically and sizewise, it's great for home defense, and has smooth operation controls. Reloading needs getting used to. Downside is that it just isn't the most fun to shoot due to its recoil. I need to practice mitigating it more, but it can catch you off guard with buckshot. But I think it looks pretty cool, and that's half the battle getting into my safe sometimes haha.

    What if you have a handguard and receiver set that's already a color you wanted. Just skip step 1 right?

    Wonder if you could use playdough instead of soap and not have to remove between layers

    Would the salt water not rust the rifle a little bit if it dries on?
