You still gotta do Outlander for some good ol Lamb of God vibes

Probably my favorite song from Jinjer. Definitely solidly in top 3.

One of their best. I'd add Tatiana started learning growls emulating Dig by Mudvayne then moved on to Laid To Rest by LoG. There are bootlegs of Jinjer covering the song back in the day - best sound is the one uploaded by NosSam in 2012 with the title all in Russian except the name Jinjer. I don't know I'd recommend it as a reaction but it is fun to listen to. :)

They still had that guitarist for the first full album (cloud factory), with tracks like Outlander, Cloud Factory, Who is going to be the one, No hoard of value etc. They started to shift quite a lot in that album, more metalcore for a lack of a better term. You can hear Roman and Eugene start to get their musicality across and Tatiana starts to really push the songs along, her voice matures a lot too. Come King of Everything album, 2nd guitarist jumped off in to acting and now Eugene has to add depth and mid-range to supplement the guitar when it shifts between rhythm and lead work and they become very creative. Once Vlad joins the band for Micro and Macro, his superb jazz-style drumming and knowledge of music/other instruments (he plays guitar pretty damn well too) they have pushed a lot more progressive boundaries. Now they are very much unique, they have their own sound and writing style as opposed to being great musicians and singer. Listening to their albums in sequence is quite the ride. Look forward to seeing what they do next as the one thing I'm sure about is that I will have never have heard anything like it 😁
Nice to react to the old stuff, I'm sure you've made a lot of Jinjer army happy!

They did not just boot Dmityr, that sounds like they let him go. He left to pursue acting and is still a friend of the band, he was not fired. Hell he is in The Prophecy video.

Came off a little harsher then I meant, hell we all love the band. The way you worded it though as “They kept that guitarist for the first full album” comes off like they did not want him around anymore. Plus booted is a loaded word when you are talking about people leaving groups. No worries through, keep the Jinjer rolling.

The old guitarist is a pretty cool dude, very dynamic on stage and well spoken in interviews. I guess No Hoard of Value is logically the next song, as it was the first single from Cloud Factory LP. As you listen to the album, you can notice Roman embrace his Lamb of God influence (in Outlander especially). I think this album really is the "hardcore and groove metal origins" that they mention in their bio

i love u make a journey of old Jinjer stuff, they have so good rifs, and Tati sound so young an agressive , (15.3.2020 she had 33, Pisces u knw ))), next old songs from 2012 like Waltz, Hypocrites an Ctitics, Destroy, My Last Chance and from 2014 Outlander, Just Another, CaveMan are so good too...

So Roman was the lead guitarist at the time of this song (he's in the video) and Dimetry Oksen was the rhythm guitar and a founding member. It was their second drummer Oleksandr Koziychuk in this video. Demetry left near 2016 just before Vlad became the permanent drummer.

May be one of the most "standard" Jinjer track, but the hook is so good. There's still really nothing to criticize the song for but not being what came later, lol. Nice deep cut.

Loving this journey from the begining. We are geting closer to the great "Outlander" :). Don´t go for official video (I don´t even know if it has one), it really has to be the failure.color version. It´s brutal and the song that really got me into them. Keep it up!

  • @skullduggery1616

Dude, I think both guitarists, Roman and Dmitriy were into that sound in them days, not just Dmitriy Oksen. After all, that was the sound back then and Jinjer were smack in the middle of all that! Yet, as you've noticed, you can hear pieces of what's coming, and you can also hear today how they continue to identify or pay homage to the many genres and sounds of their roots (like the "rap" a the beginning of Teacher,Teacher). But I think to really get a bead on Jinjers direction (in hind site of course...), you have to digest a handful of tracks to get a sense of what their intentions were and where they went. Even today, if you only hear a few tracks, it just doesn't really represent them. I think due to their progressive nature (especially w Vlad now on board) a person has to really take in an entire albums worth to understand where they are. Just MOP of course!! Keep'm coming brotha!! Really enjoy your commentary!

After you manage all the songs on cloud factory you have to smash out the king of everything as well. Then you only have to watch home back to be able to watch the whole alive in Melbourne live show. People correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure the songs left to react to is Sit stay roll over, Captain Clock and home back from the live show? All 3 are some of my favourites haha

the oldest I can find for Jinjer is "Destroy" None of the current members are in this.
    ruclips.net/video/BlWhKgoy4XQ/видео.html
Then they did Objects in Mirror 2009 was just Maksym on vocals.
    ruclips.net/video/JfVzrGfA0uk/видео.html
Then came Inhale Dont Breathe which you are reviewing now. this has Tatianas remake of song "Destroy"
    ruclips.net/video/va868ho_ijY/видео.html
Here is one of the oldest videos with Tatiana. footage over a studio track looks like a school concert but has only Tatiana and Roman from the current lineup. Dmitry Oksen is there but also the original drummer and bass player. Original singer is in clips playing acoustic and talking

Roguenjosh even though you don’t know Otep you will have heard her as she does a lot of the voices in movies, such as The Hobbit and loads of zombie films. A very talented woman. I couldn’t really put Otep in a musical genre, she / they created their own, as did Jinjer, Slipknot, SOAD, Rage, they crossed genres and created something unique .

FYI Tati, Roman and Eugene have been together since 2011 with Eugene being the newest of the 3.Roman is responsible for the guitar style your hear way back then, he created the riffs, so when you say the former guitarist was the influencer of their sound that's not accurate.
