This is my 100th video on this channel. I am truly grateful for all of you staying here with me. At the end I bring you to a tour of the place where these videos are created. Happy holidays, friends.
Great job Adam. You put a lot of effort into your racing and videos. You can tell you are very dedicated to your craft. Fantastic to see you exceed your 2000 target. Well deserved.
Good to hear! I've asked for more variance in categories for a while. Whether it's every hour or every few months, doesn't even matter. Just something to get those we plateau at the bottom of a cat back in the game!
Great ride, m8. Love that you always have that punch at the end of races to jump up a few positions in the race! Loved the authentic pain cave experience 😂 the crate of beer had me laughing so hard!
Great race, brilliant climb and really good final result. Nice to see Zwift making progress on ZRS, looks like things are moving in the right direction. Thanks for all the content this year, best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
Congrats on your 100th video. I have really enjoyed your content and have gotten a huge amount out of it. Part of my pre-training regime now has be watching yours, Gerben and and Erik Lee's videos and have enjoyed them all and gotten something different from all of them. I am only a couple of months into Zwift'ing and indoor cycling and am enjoying it immensely. I have followed you onto Xert (it is a shame that you don't have an affiliate link) as I would not have even known about it or have been aware of it if it wasn't for you. Haven't really started racing yet (I have done 2 races but really didn't know what I was doing) but am looking forward to adding that competitive dimension to my experience. I just wanted to wish you all the best in your future endeavours and to thank you for your content to date. Have a great Xmas and New Years and I am looking forward to your next 100 videos.
I think newbies should enter races asap and not wait until they think they are fit enough to. This will also help with the algorithm and be fun for newbies also
@@jeremykemp3782 for me...I was just coming off such a low base. Not just fitness wise but even with regards just how Zwift works and then in getting everything 'set up'. I have been at it a couple of month now and I know my 'fit' on the Wattbike is still not right...but getting better. I know a lot of other people...and when I say a lot I actually mean 2...so not that many actually :) but I know 2 people who did as you suggested and just gave it away straight away...they entered races upon taking up Zwift...didn't really understand how things work...weren't comfortable racing and ended up in races where they get dropped immediately and end up in a solo time trial and these people both gave Zwift away before there first month. Everyone finds their own way I guess is what I am saying...I have been at it for a couple of months...I did the 'Build Me Up' program and am half way through the Baseline program. I am much better prepared mentally and physically now to get dropped almost immediately in any race I enter and STILL enjoy the process...LOL. I will keep training...do a couple of races a week and try to keep building my skills and experience. For me...I think if I'd have jumped straight into racing I might not still be Zwifting now.
Great race! I’m looking forward to test the new category system after the holidays. I’m also currently upgrading my pain cave / RUclips studio and will share a video of it soon 🙂

Less time slots. Meaning less over lapping races i hope? My decision to enter races isnt planned, it spur of the moment. I like in the morning here in australia they have races running every half hour atleast with crit club.
@@craigm5713 not sure what you mean by "overlapping races" but less time slots are only for the "Elite" category. For the rest of us it remains each hour.
Not really sure about this. I’m not an Elite rider, but I’m decent. My racing score is 909. For some reason, there are less races for me to enter now apparently.
@@ackack8752 the old categories are no really relevant anymore, but they are still there. My guess is one of your activities that has put you into A+ previously has fallen off your 90-day window.
I could be misunderstanding your breakdown but this definitely sounds bad for 700+. Only 5 races a day and very unlikely to be anywhere near my time slots, guess its a good thing i only care about ZRL and TTT.
I am not sure myself if I explained that clearly - so to clarify: There is one category for 700+ riders, not 5. There are 5 time slots evenly spread throughout the day - currently 1:15 am, 11:15 am, 1:15 pm, 7:15 pm and 8:15 pm (European time). And according to Zwift Insider they will tweak the time slots based on the demand.
Hey my friend, first of all ride on for the effort you re investing in your Videos. They re always in high quality. As a person who got into cycling exactly two years ago and who directly jumped into competitive cycling I can not agree with your opinion. In reality you will most likely always find people who are far better compared to you. And that's okay. A 50th place in one of the big German non pro races is awesome. Becoming top 10 in your age group is an huge achievement. So why invent races so everyone can be a winner? I d just propose a new ranking for races. Just invent some kind of reward and rank races accordingly. Like in reality wtc pro 1 and 2 etc. So better riders will more likely focus on high ranked races while average riders can go for lower races but still can compete against the best. Further age group and gender rankings should be implemented. Why do 16 y old females compete against 25 y old males and against 60 y olds. However, I m not sure how tall you are but your power numbers look pretty decent I think the best improvement you could do is to lose some weight to boost your performance. 5kg make a huge difference for small riders. Best regards and ride on
@@nicolas2838 I don't think that the categories should be designed in a way that everyone can be a winner. However, everyone should be able to compete. In current C category (or third bracket, however you call it), that is simply not the case, there's no way the lowest ranked rider in that cat can compete with the highest ranked one. In other words, the spread is just too great. This upcoming update shows that Zwift realizes that too (kudos to them!).
@RoadtoA hey, but that's what I mean. When you win a d cat race there will be still 10-50 people arriving far before you. Same for c and most likely for b. So what I mean is these categories are artificial. D cat winners are not real winners. So categories should grow naturally. By giving strong riders the incentive to sing up for more prestigious races and skipping less prestigious races. Nils pollit is still riding his local low level race however he will never sign up for the local race in my city because he is a world tour pro. Btw I will most likely never win a race 😂 I always moved up in categories before I could win and in a there is no chance to win anyway.
@@nicolas2838 Sure, I can see that. I could definitely get behind the idea of having just one mass start and everyone having their own small races within once race.
You did the entire climb without drafting. When you are drafting properly, your avatar drops his head. That was a tip that I picked up from watching other riders.
It's actually the opposite. When you are in draft the avatar is sitting up (not having aero position). But you need to ride above 33 kph for it to work. If you ride slower, the avatar sits up anyway.
