I'm still amazed at the strength of these beautiful, petite young ladies! Being able to tote a rikshaw with a grown man those distances is no easy task. And they do it all with a smile and such an endearing demeanor, that you can't help but fall in love with their personality. :) Such a stark contrast to majority of the women raised in the U.S. I dream of visiting Japan one day. Beautiful country and culture.

The charge was 11700 JPY but JE offered 15000 JPY - She did not take the "tip" and insisted on returning the change. In face she went back to him to give his reciept which she had forgotten to give (at 33.20). Very conscientious.
I thought she chase him to give the receipt afterwards. I do wonder how long did she went before she makes the turn into the street to find JE. ps: seeing Genshin Impact advert that replaced AKB48 on Donki Building breaks my heart...
Should have asked her to take an invisible package back for a small fee. This would give us an excuse to see her again when he collected it another day. She would not lose face taking a tip.
There's something special about this video. Something about a rickshaw rolling around in the Electric City, Akihabara. And Tera's first time being in Akihabara in traditional clothing pulling a rickshaw from the oldest part of Tokyo to the most futuristic. It's like you're on a rickshaw time machine.

I think its really fine that the conversation is all in Japanese as we have subtitles. Besides JE's language skill is good enough for them to understand him pretty well which makes the conversation flow. I think its better this way rather than try to have them speak english which makes them not able to express themselves well thus disrupting the conversational flow.
yes like the video with misa, I'm having a hard time understanding the conversation, also as you mentioned the flow is bit off. so I'd rather have a full japanese conversation with sub.

It depends on who's being featured on the video, though. For most of the girls it's true, but Misa and Satoshi have better English than JE's Japanese, so in cases like those it does make sense to keep the conversation in English. Though, personally, just as you guys said I'd also love it if it was all in Japanese, as I watch these videos as a resource for Japanese listening practice.

In 1958, at about the location of today's Yodobashi Camera shop, there was a large open area with many types of old and new electronic equipment stalls. It was the time when mono recording and playing equipment was changing over to stereo. Many of we United States Military would go there to buy conversion or new equipment. It was an electronic junkies paradise.
If it's me, I won't be able to resist just sitting down. When she said mandarin is her favorite fruit, I would get down and buy some for her in the store. I won't stop at Akihabara either, and I will ask her to bring me back to Asakusa because if I just stopped there, Tera-chan still has to pull the empty rickshaw back to Asakusa. Heck, don't think I will make her go to Akihabara in the first place, I would rather go around the further areas of Asakusa given the one hour duration. I will switch off the camera when I'm tipping her, she will get the extra pocket money to herself even if she resists. This girl is too precious. When JE ran into her again on the main road as she was pulling the rickshaw back to Asakusa, I cried inside. Watching her pulled the empty rickshaw and having to run another 5 km back felt so sad.

Somehow I felt, when you made that U-turn 29:45, there's a chance you would meet Tera chan again. She had to go this way going back to Asakusa. From asakusa to akihabara i used subway train, but i cannot see the view on ground. Nice big camera and laox dutyfree tax electrical shopping complex.
