    I also own both a pair of Henry's and Chatsworths (Henry in 1001 Burnished, Chatsworth in Rust Suede). To be fair, you are comparing apples with oranges - I love Loake boots and own 4 pairs of them, but to compare them to Trickers is a bit daft. They are at a vastly different price point. To be fair, for most 'normal' people (us boot idiots, just like my other passion of watches, aren't 'normal' people), Loake are probably the best value for a 'proper boot' you can get - especially if you can get them through the outlet at a reduced price, and you only buy 1880/1880 Country ranges. But, if you only want a couple of pairs then save for the Trickers, or Crockett and Jones, or (my personal favourite) Cheaney. Yes, my Cheaney boots are the best I have, even though they are slightly cheaper than Trickers. My Barkers are a slight step above Loake, too, but not to the average person looking at boots - you really have to look and know what you're looking for to see any difference.

    I just bought a pair of Tricker's Chelsea in the burnished color. I love them. I was also able to get them for a discounted price at 345 gbp instead of 565 gbp. Big win.
    I tried them on in the store and knew they were the ones as soon as I slipped them on. I tried on others but those were the ones for me. I got them at The British Shoe Company in Bath.

    Tricker's Lambourn is closer in style to the Loake Chatsworth.
    They've massively boosted their prices from £350 -> 375 -> 425 and now 495!

      @@Kudusoleloake is not pure made in england shoes! They made the upper in india, than they partially assemble the shoes in uk, so they can stick a label made in england. Materiala and lining is not the same high level as Tricker’s is! For istance the Loake hill is in compresed cardboar while tricker’s is pure oak tan leather. Also the lining on Loake is not same quality as Tricker’s. Overall all Loake shies as a vey cost cutting profile just to keep the price down. All components and materials from a Tricker’s are made in England 100%. Loake simoly not. For that and not only for that Tricker’s all day every day

    I think I like Chatsworth more. Is that Tricker's so expensive? I got my Bourton for "only" 350pounds ex tax.

      For full price. Yes its 495 GBP. And that got yourself a bargain with your bourtons!!

    I really wouldn’t recommend Tricker’s own refurbishment service, as it's priced at a point where you could almost pick up a new pair on sale.

    Tricker"s are by far better not only from loake but from any shoemakers in the world .The price is not a factor to consider
    Quality beats the price or the more cheap could be more expensive in the long run .

    I used to own Henry in pebble grain, it the sterdiest boots in my closet.
    Anyway, I have never own Pacific North West boots or Viberg.
    Do you think Tricker's could rival these makers in terms of sturdiness?

      Not in my opinion. Those work boots are made for the toughest working condition. While British ones are less so.

    I live in the Northamptonshire borders in England, Trickers should be compared to Crockett and Jones as a fairer comparison. Loake are a much lower price point, i own Boots from all as they have factory shops near me, and you can save up to 60% at them. My Trickers Henry blue suede boots are my favorites, got them in the factory shop last year for £255 with a minor blemish on stitches, if you are in Northhampton visit the factory shops. Loake sorry the quality has dropped dramatically in the last few years although at Market Harborough factory shop then value
