Other signs a democracy is in trouble, amongst other things - gerrymandering, life time appointments to courts, lack of proportional representation & requirement for a super-majority in the Senate.

What a great interview, Rachel is the best explainer of everything political. The last bit in talking about her interviews with Janet Malcolm and why she still isn't in therapy were hysterical!
