    I like that you made the point that to truly fix it it would need to go to the body shop. Some people think a polisher will remove all scratches and just hammer away trying to get it out and make the panel worse. Another thing people don’t always understand is when you do “remove” a scratch the scratch isn’t gone you are just leveling the clearcoat around the scratch to the same depth. That’s why this video is great IMO. It shows that some scratches are just to deep but there is a way to make it look better.

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  5 лет назад +2

      Completely agree...only a small percentage of light, surface scratches can be completely removed without sacrificing the clear to a point where it just is not effective anymore.

    Thanks Brian for this interesting video you made. Can I ask for your professional advice. I have a 2012 Mazda 3 a daily driven car. With swirl, scratches & rock chip that I fill up with touch up paint and you can see the marks with harsh Canadian weather. I’m planning to do 1 or 2 step paint correction this summer. I’m planning to use Angelwax Regenerate & Angelwax Perfect Polish. Using the Buff & Shine (maroon, yellow, white & 50/50 micro fiber pads). Because I saw it in your previous video using these Items with a great result. What can you suggest & product to be use. I don’t have a knowledge about detailing but willing to learn and saved your videos as references. I bought a test panel & equipment to practice it before doing it on in my car. Then apply Jescar Power Lock Plus.
    Thanks again

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  5 лет назад +1

      Ok...you have a medium cut and finish polish. I suggest adding a decent cut compound. 3D ACA Extra Cut or Sonax Cut Max are my fav. And two more pads...the Lake Country Microfiber Cut pad. And Low lint pre washed lambs wool pad. You are ready to rock with them.
